Uwahaaaaaa I've spent so long on this that my shoulders hurt. ;^; Anyways, I've been planning on seeing the Barbie movie for a long while since it's been announced. And what better way than glamming up some handsome goofballs!? On the left is Robbie Robs, from @clownsuu ! On the right is Colt Cattlemen, from @thelone-copper !

Here are the references for their outfits! I already knew the perfect dress for Robbie before I even started. Though Colt's outfit was mostly just me having to struggle, Ken does not get good outfits all the time. ;n; vvvv

Robbie is based on the Barbie fashionista doll from 2009. This is the one! Colt is very, and I mean verrrry loosely, based on this Ken fashionista doll from 2010. Here he is! Not as stylish as I wanted so I dyed it pink, lol. :0]

Anyway, I thought that for the funnsies they went together late, and Robbie—stole—borrowed the dress from Lovelie! But I also like to think perhaps the two had a small spat as to who would be Ken and who would be Barbie. Robbie won.

The way their relationship is written is so perfect, they trust each other so much even when they had been separated for centuries, in the Sick Arc, they didn`t need a long talk to understand what they needed, Andy just jumped to attack Sick in the minute he had and Fuuko continued doing surgery on Leila, completely trusting that Andy will get the job done...

enjoy the timelapse, i think this was the easier one of all the others, Day 4 is kicking my ass with how big i did that project, my biggest problem was Andy, his lack of eyebrows made sketching his eyes look goofy as hell

Drawing Fuuko so many times for Day 2 absolutely helped me a lot on the lineart with those sketches `cause i didn`t sketched them with the hair, which is reasonably complicated to do.

About the final pose, i used Design Doll to make the pose and there was a solid minute were i was embarrassed (uncomfortable?) just looking at it, it was 100x times more romantic that i first intended but that went down once i did the lineart, also no haunting unshaded eyes for anyone

Leaving the scratched poses here, maybe i will do them one day but i really enjoy the comments i leave behind

I was gonna ask you this anyway actually bc you know a lot of artists but I just kept forgetting bc adhd is kicking my ass rn but since you wanted asks: do you know of any cool online stores or artists selling stickers? im trying to decorate my new laptop and I bought a few on etsy but I wanna get more

made in a lab to answer this question bc all i do is look for artists that skew cool. i will also give artists that skew cute. some artists are in between these categories, that is, they have a cute artstyle with subject matter that at least at times skews cool. my metric for whats cool and whats cute is pretty much 'based on aesthetics if this were being sold at a basement show in the 90s to 00s would someone get called gay'. if the answer is yes, its cute. if the answer is no, its cool. i dont know if this makes sense but im gonna use this categorizing anyway. i will tag the artists who are on tumblr but otherwise im naming everyone by their instagram handle because thats where i look at art and im on my phone and cant link everyone without losing my sanity

okay so like, pretty much all my art is someone else's fault. i stand by this. this is the fault of @antique-forvalaka (henceforth siv). blame or thank her. she just showed up unprovoked and was like, "fem!wkx has a flat ass and fem!zzs is big tiddy tomboy," and i was like, "umm???" what was i meant to do? NOT draw them? it's a modern au because i don't fuck with drawing hanfu.

most of these were drawn when i was too sick to write and lemme tell you i 100% underestimated the effect of a cough on drawing art. the lineart on wkx's piece took me so fucking long. i even had to go back in and redo bits of it. that's why some of it looks wonky but shhhh don't look.

assorted headcanons beneath the cut:

this was the first one i started drawing, and then i nearly gave up because zzh's face is the fucking worst to draw. like, i even tried tracing a still and it still didn't look like him. okay, thots:

f!zzs has long hair that she takes relatively good care of but she pretty much always just ties up and ignores

she keeps it long because she sometimes does infiltration missions and it's helpful to appear super feminine

she knows how to be pretty and well presented but she literally never gives a shit

left alone she will happily sit in a sports bra and panties and eat ramen

oh yeah when she's lying low after leaving tc she disguises herself as a male vagabond. @luckydragon10 is very attached to f!zzs's fake stubble.

the hoodie look is an adaptation of my favourite zzs look from woh which is the meili look. look i am a simple woman, put the characters in a veiled hat and my brain just goes hrrrrnnnnng.

oh hello other actor in this drama who is incredibly fucking hard to draw. luckily i had already drawn modern wkx before so i was a bit more used to his face. okay, some more thots:

the first one i drew was the big profile which is labelled in the csp file as tiddies out wkx

in my head f!wkx has a flat ass and flat chest bc siv said so, but she wishes she were curvy like wkx

she's very much styled after a femme fatale, emphasis on the fatal

she's pretty much always immaculately turned out, perfect make-up, perfect clothes, all very expensive

i had to draw her in stockings and garter belt. i just had to. also that lace texture killed me and took me like half of wanda//vision (which i was watching in the background) to get right

part of the reason i even did modern au was because i wanted to draw wkx with a sniper rifle

on that note the sniper rifle is traced from a photo bc i am lazy and at that point was very ill

fave wkx is angery wkx up in the top right corner. i drew her last.

one big regret that i didn't draw her splattered in blood and smirking like lelouch from code geass. i just think that would be neat.

this was the last set of these that i drew and i had to think long and hard about what to do for her. i knew i wanted her to be shorter than zzs but curvier than wkx but that was literally it

originally when i started drawing f!hy i gave her short curly hair, like close to a pixie cut, but i couldn't make it look right, so i went back to siv and extracted her suggestion of a side cut or undercut

in my head, hy and zzs run two-man missions all the time, with zzs as front woman and hy as tactical support/getaway driver

siv said to me that she sees wkx playing dress-up with hy bc hy is more receptive to it than zzs and i was like oh yes so that's why there's a little classy hy over on the right

also the more i drew f!hy with her little undercut and sweats i realised she looked like a fuckboi and i was here for it

special shout out to my favourite tac gear item: the throat mic. they're just so sexy. don't come at me.

shout out to fancy dress ass-kicking hy. the backstory here is that wkx put her in a pretty dress for a nice evening out only for it to devolve into a battlefield so hy takes off her heels and just starts blasting.

oh yeah special shout out here bc my brain was just like "play with the colours" so i did and now there is no consistent colouring for this set.

anyway i love hy's little button nose. so cute. love drawing it.

standard disclaimers for my art: all of it was drawn in clip studio paint (my beloved). i use pose references using the built-in 3D models and assorted poses i've downloaded from the store. faces are drawn using stills from the show i've founded on google images. when i draw fashion there's a high change it's from runway collections, in this case hy's dress is from the paolo sebastian moonlight serenade collection, specifically this one. and the fancy han ying look is adapted from ashi studio fall/winter 2017, specifically this look.

Adding on to the Undertale I guess-

Um, Grown up AU! Don't ask why they're all similar ages, they just are. In the Au, da kids did too many resets, glitched the timeline and somehow pressed the reset button all at the same time. Somehow, all of them became corporeal and most of the characters have been age-swapped! (As in the kids are adults and the adults are now kids) They now have to adapt to the new environment but don't worry, they're adjusting well...mostly

Chara is NOT the captain of the royal guard in this AU. (I'll let you guess who it is) but they ARE Asriel's right hand and know very well how to fight.

Frisk is the diplomat between humans and monsters (I think the barrier gets broken at one point in the au idk) but don't underestimate them cause, while they prefer to use words, they still know how to kick ass.

Blow the trumpets and make way for the king of monsters...KING ASRIEL DREEMURR!!! (If you couldn't already tell, he's kinda my favourite-) Mans has his cool glowing swords and fireballs but sadly does not have his lightning, comets or giant blaster skull thingy. Mah furry boi can still smash your face in though. Btw, on his shirt in the middle pic, it says: 'King Fluffybuns Jnr.' that you bet Frisk & Chara got for him.

For Frisk, I'd figured they'd be more adventurous with their style (they can absolutely rock feminine and masculine) with some more sporty wear but main style is still comfy. I wish I could've made their work wear more detailed, but I still couldn't think of much. I headcannon that they like to buy a bunch of pins and patches to just stick on their clothes. They get the others some pins and badges to but they're not that into it. They still wear some badges though.

In the game its kinda a trend that kids wear striped sweaters and I gave the stripes to Frisk since I think they're the most childlike in this au. Nothing derugatory, just more excitable, cheerful and playful.

As you'll probably have noticed, I gave Chara an Undercut and long hair. I just wanted to give them a different look to Frisk and I really like the beanie but again, they look almost too much like Aimsey. There's nothing wrong with that but looking back, I feel like the two have similar asthetics and the beanie made them look way too similar. I gave them combat boots cause that's cool and a different pattern on their sweater? Overalls? Overshirt? Idk.

I didn't really do much with Azzy other than give make him taller, give him a silghtly yellow beard, made his horns much bigger and gave him a different pattern on his sweater. I imagine him taking care of the flowers now and gave him a less armour heavy king outfit that his dad cause I'd assume he'd be less likely to go to war on the humans.

Chara and Azzy kept the same colour palette cause I think it might take them even longer to adjust. I mean, these two were dead for centuries, one was an apathetic flower who committed mass genocide and the other was basically forced to commit mass genocide. I'm not pinning the blame on anyone but I think these two in particular still have a lot of trauma to overcome.

But they still have each other don't worry.

Umm, in terms of my style, I tried thicker lineart in some areas. It's most prominent in Azzy's design I think so let me know what you guys think.

Will I be drawing the rest of the main cast? Idk, probably not but who knows?

Idk what to name the au, maybe you guys can leave an idea?

Don't mind me I'm just gonna whine a bit. So a couple of days ago, before my flare-up really kicked me in the teeth and made me too exhausted for big things, I was working on the cover for chapter 1 of my comic. (it serves hard by the way)

But eh, halfway through I realized I need to redo the entire thing. Problem is in the initial sketch phase I did overwork the paper a bit to hard, which is not so easy to do since it is a 300g/m³ (140lb) paper, meaning medium weight class meaning this paper will not wrap that easily and bc it is cold pressed it also can take some water and all that jazz - bottom line is, it is a good sturdy paper and I am glad I found the perfect paper that suits my workflow and is not too expensive too. But also, I managed to rough up that sturdy paper with the eraser and pencil in ways that are hard to achieve. So yeah I thought I could work around that - n o p e. The colour blooms and bleeds were it should not, I sometimes let it do that deliberately but for certain areas there is drying phases and stuff for more precise brushstrokes etc. Like... I have a good balance on when to control and when to let my inks do as they please with some mild interference from me. Also water control is a bitch tha sometimes loves me and sometimes will f me over but I also know how to work with that. But when the paper is damaged that all means jack shit. No matter how dry it is, the colour will bleed over into areas that are dry just because of the structures I created with erasure friction and there ain't not much I can do about that. I already overworked it and I also have a good amound of graphite that just fused into the paper that even the eraser could no longer pick up that rose to the surface of my colours like it is paying rent. Long story short I messed up my paper in ways that make it impossible for me to fix and I was more than halfway done with the colours by the point I accepted this does not work for me and i have to redo the entire thing. Next issue is that transferring the lineart from one paper to another is horrible with paper as thick as the one I use and my light sheet is a trouper but just not bright enough for the job lol So yeahhhh I am still very exhausted in general but I just wanna tackle the cover again and it is all a lil frustrating hence why I am writing a huge rant about it to get it outta my system and then I will pick up my pencil again and redo this cover rahhhhh. (and like, I am not even a perfectionist, I used to be one, but I trained myself out of that in my early 20s because it was just not helpful or valuable so I usually work with mistakes or work around them because honestly? I am aware most people would not even notice those things I only know they are there because I was there to witness me making them. But this one looks really like ass so I have to redo it. I can't let someone fab like horsegirl Leo look anything less than his best and having green and red bleed together constantly because the paper texture is messed up is so not working for either of us.)

Lessons to take away from this: - don't overwork the goddamn paper - no matter the level of artist you can and will mess up spectacularly and that is okay - sometimes you gotta stop being stubborn, quit and start again, there is nothing to gain but frustration from keeping working on something that just isn't working - and, more personal, wear the goddamn compression opera gloves during sketching and lining for the love of god it helps with the heavy handedness you absolute fool.

LOP might run a little late because my allergies are still kicking my ass a bit and I was the custodial person on a big funeral this morning while running on three hours of sleep (because I couldn't breathe last night)

So I just woke up from a nap that was supposed to be twenty minutes and ended up being several hours

The good news is that I feel better the bad news is that LOP isn't colored the good news is that the lineart has been done for days the bad news is I'm still a LITTLE sniffly.

So there it is, page will definitely be up by morning and I THINK I can get it done by midnight but we'll see.

i am actually anon! today's my saturday so I've had a lot of time to do some hobby stuff...finished up that glory sketch...continuing the very baseline work on my derpy fig (so early stages its not even wip pic ready im mostly trying to figure out how to. make a horse. with your bare hands. probably need to start over with a proper wire armature so I can get the sizing right and proportional but that shouldn't be too tricky I was just half assing it with tinfoil and being shocked when it looked half assed.) tried 2 new monster flavors and put in an order for some new ponies in a couple months when my Pony Dealer rolls into town maybe we'll meet up under a scenic meth bridge or smth just for kicks ill leave the money under the bush and she'll throw a pair of horseshoes over a telephone wire to indicate this is the pick up spot or something. also banged out some more lineart on various projects (including another ask u know who u are i am not ignoring u prommy)
