Gearing up for a snowy day yesterday, I wore my #linennaive wool skirt that is about as comfy as wearing sweatpants, with the part elastic waistband and long warm fabric. This skirt is my go to for chilly days. Wearing some of my cute new mushroom pins with colors similar to my floral top. Then a silver timeturner, layered with a silver dragon necklace because I thought that spot needed some more interest. This basic black tank top I got from target and added black lace to the hem and a braid around the neckline, but you can never see it in pictures. I actually find this outfit to be very casual because of how comfortable and easy to wear it is. I'm not sure my idea of casual is relevant though. . . . #morigirl #morikei #morigirlfashion #morikeiaesthetic #forestgirl #naturalkei #naturalfashion #cottagecore #kawaiifashion #jfashion #森ガール #ootd #ootdfashion #wintermori #mushroompin https://www.instagram.com/p/CpSwBdNJeeC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

a family came in to the store i work at today and they had an 11-year-old girl who was wearing this cloak
and I know it was this exact cloak bc the dad told me what website they got it from (linennaive) which is a website that i already knew about and have scrolled through and sighed wistfully in the past (as i am doing again now)
and just. goddamn i am so jealous of this kid. if i had that cloak at 11 it would be my entire personality. hell, if i had that cloak now it would be my entire personality. fuck.

Thank you for sharing your favorite wardrobe shops! Most of the Etsy shops were on my radar but I haven't had the gumption (or the money) to buy anything just yet. May I ask, how do you wash your wool items? Do you hand wash or dry clean?
Hello, it is my pleasure!! my experience with the shops has been really good!! the first three are owned by ukrainian women and they are very skilled and sweet! they all do a great job with custom sizing and the natural fabrics feel breathable and durable 😊 I hand wash the skirts! ( I dry clean the coats because they have a bit of a sheen finish and lining, you can also probably machine wash the skirts with a wool cycle, delicate soap and laundry bag but I haven't tried it myself ) I soak them in the tub and wash them very gently with hand wash soap in lukewarm water and then dry it horizontally and away from the sun, it is a chore so I don't do it often 😂 I wear petticoats and the skirts are midi length so they don't get much dirt luckily! I also hand wash the linen blouses and skirts but those are much easier to handle 😊 I hope this helps and you can get all the lovely outfits you want!!

I do in fact need to learn to sew (but also my anorexia means measuring myself is Triggering As Fuck so…work in progress) because I’ve realised that one of the things I am actually like, this is part of disability is that my eczema means that I don’t have a choice about clothing - I have to wear linens/cottons/silk etc because anything polyester/synthetic (is that the right word) makes my skin react horrifically.
Anyway, I am actually happy to pay money for really good quality clothes that fit me/my style but it feels like such an indulgence still for some reason :/.

ok I gotta get this off my chest: dresses made for women who are history enthusiasts (or cottagecore, or royalcore) are often juvenile-looking. like, yes, your model does look like she stepped out of an updated interpretation of the 19th century. but as a 7-year old girl.
now obviously you need the right undergarments to pull off any adult period silhouette and most of us aren’t trying to. I’m just saying all the cuts of these “vintage” dresses are specific to children in those eras. it’s like they decided that because the period silhouette isn’t possible to achieve in the modern day, they’ll just go for no mature silhouettes at all.

So- while I was buying stuff for camo patterning there was a family of classic “homeschool” girls looking at the camo cloth at the store, this brought up a cursed thought that I just had to edit into existence:
tactical circle skirts.
