I dyed my hair, so obviously I had to make new art of her with it black.

🇺🇲 Dive into the past with the IBM WatchPad, an early glimpse into the future of smartwatches!
⌚️ Back in June 2000, IBM unveiled a groundbreaking prototype—a wristwatch powered by Linux. Initially boasting just 6 hours of battery life, this tech marvel was later upgraded to a respectable 12 hours, featuring 8 MB of RAM and running on Linux 2.2.
⚙️ As innovation surged, so did the WatchPad's capabilities. With additions like an accelerometer, vibrating mechanism, and fingerprint sensor, IBM teamed up with Citizen Watch Co. to unleash the ultimate wearable tech—the "WatchPad 1.5". Sporting a 320 × 240 QVGA monochrome touch-sensitive display and running Linux 2.4, it also packed calendar software, Bluetooth, 8 MB of RAM, and 16 MB of flash memory.
💰 With hopes of targeting students and businessmen alike, Citizen set the retail price around $399, making the WatchPad a tantalizing glimpse into the future of wearable tech. Would you have splurged on this piece of history?

These eyes are so much easier to work with for expressions and placement. I inspired them off of South Park, Rick And Morty, Garfield, and off how my one friend draws eyes. I might make the pupils/iris little circles with colors at some point idk yet.

linux is not. magically free of the Dependencies curse, tho.
like I respect the moxie & mod-ability of an open OS as much as the next bigtech girlie but it very much is still Computer
it's honestly nuts to me that critical infrastructure literally everywhere went down because everyone is dependent on windows and instead of questioning whether we should be letting one single company handle literally the vast majority of global technological infrastructure, we're pointing and laughing at a subcontracted company for pushing a bad update and potentially ruining themselves
like yall linux has been here for decades. it's stable. the bank I used to work for is having zero outage on their critical systems because they had the foresight to migrate away from windows-only infrastructure years ago whereas some other institutions literally cannot process debit card transactions right now.
global windows dependence is a massive risk and this WILL happen again if something isn't done to address it. one company should not be able to brick our global infrastructure.

Experience Parking Garage Rally Circuit: Drift and Boost in Retro Arcade-Style Racing
Tumblr media
Parking Garage Rally Circuit retro arcade-style racing game coming to Linux, Steam Deck, and Windows PC. Thanks to the creative talent of Walaber Entertainment. Working to make its way onto Steam. If you’re into fun, retro arcade-style racing games, then you’ll be eager to hear that Parking Garage Rally Circuit is coming. Solo developer Tim, also known as Walaber, is making it happen, but here's the deal: it's due to release on Linux, Steam Deck, and Windows PC. So, what’s Parking Garage Rally Circuit all about? Picture yourself drifting around parking garages, pulling off tight controls, and boosting like you’re in Mario Kart. The gameplay tour takes you through various parking garages across the US. These are also transformed into great race tracks. Sometimes, you might even encounter falling rocks or a surprise lightning strike to keep things interesting. The title design gives you that nostalgic feeling, like a lost Sega Saturn game from 1998. It’s also about fun time trials, where you can easily jump in and play, but mastering it and topping the leaderboards will take some skill. As you progress, you’ll also unlock new car classes, adding to the excitement and challenge.
Parking Garage Rally Circuit Official Gameplay Trailer
youtube
Parking Garage Rally Circuit is a unique mix of rally and circuit racing. From rally, it borrows the thrilling jumps and the “one racer at a time” time-trial format. But unlike traditional rally races, these tracks are more like circuits, with multiple laps around the same track. And don't be surprised if the track changes a bit with each lap to keep you sharp. The controls are very tight and simple, just like in Mario Kart. You’ve got your basic accelerate, reverse, steer, and drift, with a bit of a twist. There’s a fun “smash into things” physics element that adds to the arcade feel. The mastermind behind this title is Tim “Walaber” FitzRandolph, a solo developer who also created the hit game Where’s My Water? and the Jelly Car series. You can even catch Tim working on Parking Garage Rally Circuit live on his Twitch streams, giving you an inside look at the development process. So, if you’re into retro arcade-style racing titles that are easy to pick up but hard to master, keep an eye on Parking Garage Rally Circuit. So get ready to drift through those parking garages and have a blast. Coming to Linux, Steam Deck, and Windows PC. Be sure to Wishlist on Steam.

I got sick of ads and stupid smart tv crap that can't stay connected to the wifi and keeps logging me out of things. So I put linux on an old dell optiplex I had laying around and connected that to our tv.
The first remote/keyboard was something I picked up for the tv pc. It has a mouse built in that works wiimote-style too.
The second device is a "Lenovo Mini Wireless Keyboard N5901" with mouse. My friend @knittingnoodle found it at a thrift store for me and I'm sooo grateful. This thing is so cool and it has a trackball!!!

seems 2 me like pathfinder is much easier to draw up a character as you make a character sheet than to come in with a character and try to find all of the potential traits and paths they fit just because theres So much stuff. maybe it's an aon problem because id just rather be able to flip through a book in page order than thoroughly learn their site organization but it just seems too abstract for me somehow. which sucks because theres so much fairy food type shit in pathfinder. like i look at dnd and it's like wow this would be so much cooler with this thing pathfinder does instead

A cool video about how brave browser is kinda iffy
https://youtu.be/pektPYhM7pw
Been suspicious of them for a while now, but really just because of that weird crypto ad replacement stuff. Nice to see some of the other shady shit they've done.
I really don't recommend using brave, especially if you switched after the recent Firefox fiasco.
Also, it's very much not a woke project
