Not liking a ship is fine, writing a post in which you say you don't like AxB and the reason is also fine but if written correctly and while being respectful of who likes it!

Writing that Ravioli is gross and comparable to inchest (or pedophilia for some reason??) is not a valuable argument (also because it isn't true) and you're only harassing who instead likes it genuinely and has never harassed who doesn't. I can write an antithesis on this and share why I like it instead, but this isn't the right post. Of course this applies for all the other ships and not only ravioli.

Spamming unrelated things, using the main LU tags isn't ok! We want to see fanart, fanfics, people theorizing, headcanons, incorrect quotes of the chain and LU charactes, or ocs, or "character in LU", and not read a bunch of unrelated posts and asks that have those tags just to get attention.

We as a fandom can and should post whatever we want that doesn't break the rules and that doesn't hurt the others in any way! I don't do or like linkshipping, and I'm so glad everyone who instead does has been so respectful of the rules! This is how we live in a community.

Not even starting with the homophobia topic. It's wrong, aside from Malon/Time and Sky/Sun no other ship is canon in LU and everyone can ship a Link with whoever they want, they can be queered into oblivion! Many of us headcanon that Hyrule is a trans man, we have never called the others words for not liking the hc.

RESPECT THE OTHERS. For Hylia's sake respect us queers. I think we can all go and report or block who doesn't.

SKY YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL IN THIS UPDATE

Also Why does the story fit so well with my last fic?? If Dink’s weapon turns out to be related to Ghirahim or Demise I'm gonna scream, it would be perfectly fitting with the fic! If Sky ends up blaming himself at the end and doing something stupid it would be even more fitting! And I somehow feel like he will, because Fi is the only weapon Dink is afraid of, and while everyone is her master, Sky is her original master and chosen wielder, and the best swordsman of the group.

Also the letters! Will we get to see the content? And in these panels Sky is drawn really well with those cheeks! Also we see he isn't much taller than Legend, probably as tall as Hyrule or only slightly taller. This is kinda cool for me because I like to dress up as Sky and I look a bit like him, but I'm 5'2" :)

And of course we have Time and Twilight interactions! These two are bonding so much! Family moments our beloved. Will we see Malon again?

And the scarf is back!!

My Spirit Tracks designs inspired by LinkedUniverse :)

And facts under the cut!

I made these for the weekly prompt on the server! I'm still unsure about their nicknames, I liked calling Zelda "Spirit" and Link "Tracks", but later I started calling her "Angel" and Link either "Tracks" or "Engie". Help XD

LEFT: Zelda's design before the adventure. She's the great-great-granddaughter of Tetra and Wind, and they're both black and have curly hair in my designs, with Tetra's skin being a little darker than Wind's. Angel's skin is lighter than Wind's due to having a couple white ancestors between her great-great-grandparents and her. She took her eye color and freckles from Tetra and her nose from Wind!

CENTER: Zelda's design after the adventure. When she got separated from her body, her spirit was pale and light, hwr hair got wavy and floating, and her body lost color due to being "lifeless". When Malladus possessed her, her eyes changed from dark blue to yellow. When Zelda got back into her body, it didn’t regain its original color, much to her desperation. However, she enjoyed helping Link and got an outfit she really loves.

RIGHT: Link! He's the great-great-grandson of Niko and Aryll, who dated Niko as an adult. He's tanned but his ancestors between Aryll and him are mostly white. His design is mostly taken from his engineer clothes, but with the green tshirt and belt from his hero clothes. I originally wanted to roll his sleeves up but noticed how in LU everyone has long sleeves! His eyes are brown, and his personality is pretty much like Aryll's.

Facts!

- Of course they have the same great-great-great-grandparents. This, however, makes them too distant relatives to be considered family.

- Aryll joined the crew a few years after WW. She enjoyed being on the ship and when she turned 12 she decided to join her brother, and later, as an adult, she dated Niko (I headcanon Niko to be at most as old as Wind, but maybe a couple of years younger).

- Zelda's ancestors are all travelers and adventurers. Her parents, in particular, are alive and well but on a journey across the seas to visit the old islands and ancient Hyrule. Link’s parents have done pretty much the same, but Link chose to live with Niko and be a train engineer rather than sailing.

- Zelda hates her new look. She can't stand it at all, and while some makeup helps, she doesn't feel good. She hopes to regain her original appearance some day, mostly her colors, but both colors and hair type would be the best. Link always tells her she's beautiful no matter what, and he's totally sincere. He fell in love with her when she was a spirit, so looks really don't matter, but he too hopes she'll het her original appearance back as he wants to see her truly happy.

- When Zelda got back to her body, she didn't notice she was still that pale. There were so many other things to do, consider, think of. Moreover, she had her glooves on. After defeating Malladus she and Link went back to the castle where they quickly fell asleep due to exhaustion. After some hours, Link woke up to Zelda screaming in terror from her room. He went upstairs and noticed her in tears, staring at a mirror. She saw herself as a monster. Link tried to help, to tell her she's beautiful anyway, and then distracting her talking about adventures and history. This helped her, other than make her order some new clothes based on her adventure.

- In my headcanon Tetra didn't become a white and elegant princess when the king told her she was Zelda. She didn't even get a dress. She just got the information, and was left thinking about her ancestors. All the events of WW happened with the exception of Tetra still being Tetra, dark skin and pirate clothes.

- Yes Zelda's body will slowly recover and she'll eventually regain her original colors! Happy ending :)

Again, a game lost to another for one single vote! 30 people voted for A link between worlds and 29 people voted for the minish cap!

We can say Minish Cap wins the "best 2d Zelda game" award!

I love both these 2 games. I have to say I didn't vote for neither of them! Actually, albw is in my top 3! In albw, I love the 2 words, and the main mechanic is cool and interesting, I'd say innovative! I also really like Ravio, how he saved Link at the beginning (and I believe Ravio saves him every time too, Sheerow takes his tools and Ravio brings him back to the dungeon entrance or to his house, and heals him enough to continue!). I like to think Ravio has another bracelet and he and Link can meet again through the sacred realm or a single passage they left open (maybe behind Link's home?).

Anyway I really loved it and wish it ranked higher, but I gotta remove it from this round! Congrats to minish cap for winning over albw for one vote! Funny how alttp and albw are next to each other.

Hello!!! I might as well leave my opinion here since I both draw and code (currently taking a degree in AI)

As you wrote before these machines need to train on enormous amounts of data. Do you remember when, a couple years ago, the images you'd get were totally wrong in shapes and colors? Well, Those AIs still had huge amounts of images to copy from. So imagine how many images they have now that inexperienced people can't recognize a true photo from an AI image. Privacy is at risk.

You might not know the amount of professors at uni that warned the students about the use of AI. They all stated that humans must always be present and have the major roles, in all the fields. Take, for example, IT. All the neural networks I've tried committed huge mistakes in their codes or, if the code they generated was ok, it didn’t have any optimization (also some were wrong in logic) Why? Because the AI doesn't KNOW what it writes, the generation of a letter after another is based purely on statistics and since it can go to the internet and learn from anything (I don't think there's any restriction on code) it also learns from codes with mistakes posted on stack overflow or other forums. Now some programmers think they can ask an AI to write the code for them and copy-paste it without reviewing it first (source: some classmates), the code isn't good at all, and since it's reposted on the internet the AI will use that too. In a future, if every programmer stops writing code, we'll have apps/programs full of inconsistencies and mistakes, that might use like 10 lines of code that could be done with one single function, because the AI has learned from its own badly generated code.

In art, we have even more issues. First of all, ethics and work. Yes I can generate a picture of Skyward Sword Zelda (spoiler: I can't, they all look like botw Zelda or botw Link with longer hair), but that generated image is made of pieces of other drawings made by someone else, and the AI doesn't give credit. That picture look soulless too, always because the AI doesn't know experssions or what it is actually drawing. The poses are always the same, the colors are always the same. Have you noticed how all the AI drawings look so similar? Saturated colors, the character standing in the center of the image, no textures (it all looks like plastic?) etc. That's because it mixes the styles and (still) can't recognize a texture. If all the companies were to use AI for all their logos or posters or ADs, they’d all look the same. AI is not creative.

AI is a useful tool for brainstorming, to make researches faster, and to get a sketch. I mean, people can download an image from google and print it, as long as they don't claim it's theirs it's fine. So AI can do that too, and the generated image might be an inspiration for a drawing (that the artist will draw). But it's totally wrong to post it online, because it's a stolen image and (like code) it has mistakes the AI won't see as such, and it will use it as a basis for another drawing and so on.

So, from a programmer's side, I say stop feeding the aI with its own code/images/generated content because it's often wrong and it will lead to even worse mistakes. We need people who think to create something new! We need progress!

From an artist's side, the AI "art" is a bunch of stolen pictures plotted together. It's not yours, random user. Stop posting it as it damages real artists. Companies, hire real artists or your pictures will look soulles and all the same. Yes, use it to get inspiration, if the image you generated is cool for you download it, frame it, but keep it for yourself :)

Hello- I need opinions.

So, as some might know of find it obvious from an artist, I am against AI generative images. I think it harms artists in more than one way. for me, it makes me feel like my art doesn't have value enough to be protected.

My art teacher supports ai. She doesn't want to do her own research on the way it's harmful and showed the class how "it's a tool" and I'm highly disappointed and annoyed that she doesn't bother explaining the dangers for artists.

So here comes my question.

My teacher left me the option to make my own presentation with research on the subject to show the class. Should I do it? And if yes, could I get some of your opinions on it? Have any of the artists had experience that their art was stolen to train AI? How does it affect your creativity and the worth you put in yourselves and your art?

Write as much as you need to. You can reblog with your opinion. It would help me put light to the problem.

If I don't do it, nobody's gonna bathe an eye about the problem and I feel like it's gonna get worse and worse. with Twitter and instagram being to train their inginges off of artists work without permission, I feel like we lose our value and it saddens me a lot.

So SkSw Zelda (Sun) is Hylia. She had no memories of her past life and as she regains her memories she discovers she had chosen Link (Sky) and she has been unknowingly using him. But she doesn't really like this, she's still her father's daughter and Link's Zelda...

I always imagined Zelda needing to "choose who to be", maybe keeping her bangs as a fringe as Zelda and moving them on the side (like Hylia in the manga, or like the statues) when having to act as Hylia (to use her magic, or to give orders).

Then in LU I've seen fanarts and read some fanfics about Four with DID, and since I didn't know what it meant I looked around the internet and got some informations (correct me if I'm wrong tho!)

And since then I've been thinking that maybe... maybe Zelda didn't have to remember Hylia's memories because they were never hers, they were Hylia's. Hylia chose Zelda as her mortal form, resting, not taking control of the body until it was ready. And then Impa didn't help Zelda with her memories, but she helped Hylia awakening and getting comfortable in the shared body. And sometimes the alters argue because Hylia wants to continue her quest but Zelda has sensed that Link is near. When Zelda knows Link is near she desperately wants to take control but both Hylia and Impa stop her.

When link goes back in time, Hylia tells him her story. I remember thinking that dialogue didn't sound like Zelda's at all, it was a totally different personality. She tells him she had to transfer her soul to the body of a mortal, and then we have those 2 phrases specifically.

I feel this is like Hylia introducing herself to Link, and then, when she turns and walks away, she's Zelda again. She refers to the goddess as Hylia and then corrects it with "I", she might think Link can't understand what's happening. And I think she's so angry at Hylia for using his Link but she can't explain everything now so she accuses herself of using him.

While in the crystal, Zelda is sleeping while Hylia is keeping Demise sealed. When Link breaks the seal on her, Zelda wakes up and Hylia lets her spend some moments with her friends, until Ghirahim takes her and... tears Hylia out of Zelda.

When Demise is defeated, Impa calls her "Her Grace" and Fi does too once, but Fi recognizes she wants to be called Zelda and even Impa recognizes she's Zelda and won't let Hylia take her place for a while. Impa has to tell Zelda what Hylia told her (I found this strange when I first played it, didn't Zelda have all "her" memories?)

Then they go back to their time and it's all Zelda until the end.

I think Hylia returned to Zelda's body after Demise was defeated, but the main host is Zelda. Sometimes Hylia shows up and moves the bangs to the side, so Link and everyone can see it's her.

This might be totally wrong but I really like to think Zelda and Hylia aren't the same soul but 2 different entities that happened to share a body :")

If this is offensive or inaccurate please tell me so I can fix my mistakes!

If Four gives Sun the four sword and Sun and Hylia split, I think they won't be friends, Sun will throw hands at her with no esitation :)

Update on my Tomodachi island!

Sun threw habds with Twilight's son Wolfie while his parents were taking care of baby Linda. Luckily Sun felt better after getting a new outfit (a blue elf outfit) and they made up. Hurray!

Sky made Wars and Artemis meet, and these two are now a couple! Hurray part 2!

Lullaby's apartment has a love chat bubble but as soon as I get in their apartment the game freezes, is this a scrapped interaction? Why did it happen here? (Lullaby stop messing with the timeline damn it)

Welp I think there are various reasons!

First, the (later discovered to be mistranslated) quote from Link’s uncle, "Zelda is your...". This led to many of us questioning what Zelda was to Link. Of course it couldn’t be "Zelda is your other half", but the theory he meant "Zelda is your sister" was the most believable.

Second, Legend has had many other ship possibilities, so people weren't "forced" (it's an hyperbole don't worry) to ship him with his Zelda (in contrast to Wind, or Spirit Tracks Link, or Sky) and the "sister" thing could stand up. I've noticed people tend to find a reason on why a character can't be with another one, so of course the reason Leg and Fable couldn't be together is because they're siblings. Legend was given Marin, a character from the Oracles too but I don't remember her name, and Ravio, and if we want to go on maybe even Styla?

Third, this is mostly going towards the Raviolink ship, Legend is mostly headcanoned as bi/gay and/or genderqueer. Might it be because he doesn't wear pants, might it be because in Triforce Heroes he could wear whatever he wanted and still look great, idk, but it's rare to find a cis and het Legend, so we tend to ship him with Ravio, and there's this thing going about Leg and Fable abd Ravio and Hilda being siblings respectively (I don't really follow this hc).

So welp the theory of Legend and Fable being siblings is not just something someone invented and it then went viral (like, for example, the headcanon Hyrule has freckles) but it all started from that quote and it didn't have anything heavily disagreeing, instead Leg was given at least other 3 options, and then because of some of his games and LU, he became a queer icon, so ye!

Also... They're really cute if seen as twins! We don't have other examples of related Link and Zelda (theoretically, in the italian version of Minish Cap they are related, but in English it isn't written anywhere?) so maybe we kinda need this representation!

Ok confession, I don’t get the Legend and Fable are siblings idea. Like the way this fandom latched on to it you would think it was from the games/canon but no, it’s just a popular fan theory. Honestly I haven’t played Alttp so I thought for a hot minute it was a thing in the game but a quick google search just led me to being more confused as to why people so into this idea? I can’t complain too much because there are great fic out there exploring Legend having royal blood. But again don’t know why everyone agreed that this was a thing...did I like miss a memo or something?

Anyway this is a really fun blog idea and I wish you the best!

Hear me out (Sonic 3 spoilers)

What if Eggman is alive, Shadow has brought them back on the Earth using chaos control at the last moment, and they have been sent somewhere far from their homes, and while Shadow is fine and looking to get back to his "hometown", Eggman has lost his memory and evilness (mr Tinker?) and he has adopted an orphan kid who was taken fun of because of her "weird white hair that looked like a egg shell". Stone is looking for him though, and has created Metal to beat Sonic and avenge Ivo's "death". The 2 meet casually and Eggman gets his memory and goals back. Sage is worried but follows him anyway because she loves her father, but as every kid does now she's also excited to meet the Sonic cast, so there are funny exchanges of Sage asking Tails for example to make her fly and Eggman telling her "Sage you're supposed to defeat him!" Sage would be like 6 to 8 years old, but be super intelligent like Eggman and Stone, another reason she was considered different. She's not an AI like the games, but she has the high IQ and she's worried about her dad(s)! Also, she would probably have albinism, for her white hair and red eyes.

Probably Amy and Sage would also join forces if Metal Sonic ends up acting like in Sonic Heroes...

I don't have any officially diagnosed food allergies, but I really can't even smell vinegar or I'd throw up. One day I was at a restaurant and everyone was so kind, they carefully brought me dishes without it and it was cool! Also, on the menu every dish had its full list of ingredients written, so I could see if one had it or not. On the 17th I went to another restaurant for my grandpa's birthday. I ordered one dish, there was no sign of vinegar written on. It smelled strange. Thankfully I tasted one really little bit of it and then I had to drink A LOT to make the feeling of throwing up go away. Why don't they write down ingredients on the menu??

My father just said it's so rare to have problems with vinegar. "It's obvious they don't write it because it's as common as salt and pepper" WHAT THE ACTUAL HSJWJW. Let's just say he also thinks I just don't like vinegar so even when we're at home he jokingly opens that bottle in front of me and I have to damn go away.

On the otjer hand, I'm allergic to very common medicines and I fear if I ever feel ill somewhere people would give me something I can't tolerate. One day a little sip of the most common medecine (paracetamol) made me so dizzy I couldn't stay still, and I had red spots everywhere on my skin.

So yeah pay attention :"|

If you work in a movie theater and you do this I have no respect for you.

My younger brother is Type 1 Diabetic.

When we go to a movie theater, we always get him diet soda. If he were to get regular when we asked for diet, we would not give him the insulin he would need for it. If that happens, his blood sugar level could go so high he could go into a coma, go blind, or even die.

If somebody gave him regular soda instead of diet without telling us, that person could be responsible for a nine-year-old being killed or blinded.

Just thinking about that makes me so angry. I get scared every time we take him to a movie in case the people working there saw this picture and decide to do the same thing.
