I think every fandom should just stop doing ship wars. Why is it hard to just agree to disagree, and talk about other things???

Why would anyone come @ you for a harmless ship??? Even if you don’t ship it or you’re uncomfortable with it, there’s no reason to tell others to die or threaten them. Live and let live. I avoid liph//yo, y//hyo and a//hyo like the plague because I have very personal reasons I feel uncomfortable to the point of being sick with them, but there’s no need for me or any other aiyuu shipper to yell at those who do ship it.

If you don’t want to associate with people who ship your squick ships, that’s fine, you can still be respectful. You don’t have to be friends with everyone in the fandom, but you do have to be respectful. We are taught “if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all” as toddlers. Why is it a hard concept to grasp?

And I’m going to speak directly to the aiyuu shippers that I’ve seen on tiktok and twitter. Obviously not all of them, but you fucking know who you are.

STOP being rude to other shippers. The aiyuu fandom was amazing a couple years ago but lately there has been a small influx of toxic shippers. You’re the reason why people are growing uncomfortable in this fandom. I don’t give a rats ass if I piss people off with this post, I’m not going to apologize for saying you’re literally fucking this fandom over with your toxicity.

I have other reasons why I dislike liph//yo and the other two ships for the ot3, on top of my personal reasons. But I’m not going to come @ other shippers for having different opinions. If I befriend one or some, then I’ll simply ask them to abstain from talking about that particular ship, and likewise, if they don’t like/ship aiyuu, then I’ll abstain from talking about that. We can literally talk about other ships and other fandoms.

This goes for other shippers too, it’s not just aiyuu shippers (there’s just been an influx of them recently). For quite a long time, there’s been a lot of y//hyo shippers who are pretty awful too. Before herotaru dropped, one shipper said something along the lines of, “when y//hyo becomes canon, aiyuu shippers are going to look so fucking stupid”. And people who say aiyuu shippers are dumb because aiyuu is “just fanservice” also need to just shut up too.

It’s all fiction. It’s not that deep. 

Just be happy if your ship becomes canon, and if it doesn’t, who cares? Sure, I love canon in a lot of things, but in another fandom I’m in, 2/3 of my ships are not canon.

Just leave other shippers alone and vibe in your bubbles. It’s not rocket science.

its really annoying that people are being assholes over this because im reminded of how wholesome the liphyo/three caballeros poll was and how many people were supporting each other. I have strong opinions but im still being a good sport! anyways people who are being rude stop it this is about thinking about crossover fics and finding new poly ships

thank you so much!!! idk if its a coincidence or ppl actually listened but ive gotten way less upsetting tags in round 3 than i did in round 2. i dont mind a jokingly "i hate you op for doing this to me" but i do have limits and i will draw the line where i think it needs to be drawn.

i also have to thank all of the people here for being so understanding though, because when the mod for the white haired anime boys poll complained about murder jokes a lot of ppl in the replies were like "ugh its tumblr its just a joke dont ppl can tag things whatever they want blah blah" and like. yeah u can tag it whatever you want. and we can complain if we want. and block. ur right it is tumblr, and we love blocking here so <3

I'm not gonna lie, every time I see someone brushing aiyuu off as fanservice I just wanna stare pointedly @ Samishigariya. Nevermind the events from the now-discontinued game, the novels in which the two are the only ones who help each other with their trauma...

Okay. I can’t believe I’m making another post like this, but I’m going to be very specific here.

Aiyuu shippers who say “if you don’t ship aiyuu, you’re homophobic!” unironically...YOU’RE ANNOYING.

Yuuhiyo/Aihiyo shippers who say “if you don’t ship (yuu/aihiyo), you’re heterophobic!” unironically...YOU’RE ANNOYING.

Liphiyo shippers who say “if you don’t ship liphiyo, you’re biphobic!” unironically...YOU’RE ANNOYING.

Like . holy shit. This fandom is turning into a MASSIVE fucking “he said, she said!” ordeal and it’s putting more bias onto newcomers depending on who they talk to and making the fandom even more divided.

Stop. Everyone participating in that shit is annoying. Everyone is allowed to ship what they want. Stop fucking using that stupid “I’m gonna call you (x)phobic because your opinion is different from mine!” bullshit. 

Okay? Nothing is canon!!!! Aiyuu isn’t canon. Yuuhiyo isn’t canon. Aihiyo isn’t canon. Liphiyo isn’t canon. So there’s no damn reason to be attacking each other. If you hate another ship, just live and let live and stay in your own damn bubble.

You’re allowed to be uncomfortable with a ship. You’re allowed to despise a ship. You’re allowed to be neutral with a ship. You’re allowed to like and even love a ship.

You shouldn’t be attacking anyone, no matter how much you hate their ships or opinions. This fandom is turning into one of those stupid toxic fandoms that does absolutely nothing but argue about ships and it’s getting really old, really fast.

Honeyworks has been my safe space for almost 3 years now, and I don’t want the stress of seeing people who ship what I ship attacking others, or people who ship what I don’t attacking me/other people who ship what I ship.

Enough is enough. If you truly hate someone, just block them. It’s not that hard.
