Who wrote 'Silver Stallion' and 'White Badge', amongst other books?

Y/N sat in Taehyun's lap, the thirteen year old helping the four year old read.

"J-Johnny l-loves his Mummy." The girl read out. Taehyun cheered and whooped.

"Yeah!" He whooped. "Johnny loves his mommy! Like Terry loves Y/N-ie!"

She giggled cutely and yawned.

"Y/N-ie sleepy." She whined. Taehyun laughed and picked her up, carrying her over to her bed.

"Goodnight, Princess. Terry loves Y/N-ie."

That was six years ago. Taehyun was nineteen nos, and Y/N 10. Their love never wavered. Their mother, Emilia, had 10 albulms full of their pictures together.

"Taehyun, Y/N!" She called. The two sibling leapt up and ran down the stairs.

"Do you need anything, eomma?" Y/N asked sweetly. Emilia giggled and shook her head.

"I'm getting married." Emilia said. "And Iwant you to meet him before we marry."

"You-marry?" Taehyun stuttered, shocked. "Who?"

"His name is Kim Junhyo." Emilia said. "Y/N, Taehyun, what do you say?"

"I-uh- yorah. I guess I can meet him."

"Great!" Emilia said. "I'll invite him and his son's."

"S-sons?" Taehyun asked. "Eomma, boys aren't allowed bear Y/N."

"Says who?" She asked, amused.

"Me." Taehyun snapped defiantly.

"They said they'll be delighted to come over." Emilia said. "I want you to dress nicely."

"Yes Eomma." They chorused, going back to their respective rooms."

"Lia!" A man said, kissing her cheek. She giggled and hit him lightly.

"Jun, the kids are in the house, let's not." She laughed. "Kang Taehyun! Kang Y/N!"

"Yes Eomma?" Y/N asked, flashing her phone to see the time.

"This is Mr Junghyo. Say hi."

"Hi Mr Kim." Y/N said. "I'm Y/N and that good for nothing is my Oppa, Taehyun."

"I'll get you back." Taehyun hissed playfully, before turning back to Junghyo. "Mr Kim, I'm Taehyun."

"These are my son's." Mr Kim introduced.

"Kim Seokjin."

"Kim Yoongi."

"Kim Hoseok."

"Kim Namjoon."

"Kim Jimin."

"Kim Taehyung."

"Kim Jungkook."

"Excellent!" Emilia clapped her hands together. "Let's eat."

"Eomma!" Y/N said. "But Terry promised to play Fortnite with me!"

"Later, babygirl." Taehyun said. "After dinner. First thing, promise."

"Alright." Y/N agreed, beginning tostuff her face. Taehyun looked at her incredulously. "What?"

"You're just like before." Taehyun sniggered. "You can never hold yourself when it comes to food."

After dinner, it was decided that Mr Kim and his son's would spend the night with the Kangs.

"Come here." Y/N gestured to Taehyun, and he walked into her room. She motioned for him to sit down, and covered the mirror.

"Oh gosh." He groaned, you're going to make me ugly again, aren't you?"

"Oh come on, everyone said you were cute!"

Three hours later, and Y/N was done. She tried to hold in her giggles.

"Eomma!" She called. "Eomma!"

"Yes dar-" She stopped, Mr Kim behind her, and burst into laughter. "Good heavens, Princess, what did you do to your poor Oppa?"

"Is it that bad?" Taehyun snatched the clothaesy from the mirror and let out a shout of horror. He ran down the stairs to the boys. He really wasn't one to talk to strangers, but this was an emergency.

"Do I look horrible?" He panicked, staring at them. There was a moment of silence, then the living room filled with laughter as the boys took in his appearance.

"Dude, your sister has a wild sense of style." Jimin cackled. Taehyun huffed and went back to Y/N's room, snatching the make up wipes.

"You're going to pay." He said, making Y/N laugh.

Y/N and Taehyun were still taking their time to warm up to the Kim's. They didn't mind, for they understood how it was. To have a parent taken away by another person. Someone who'd cared for them their whole life.

Junghyo foi acolhido ainda jovem pelo mestre de um dojang, Kang Hanjae, um bruxo de poder imensurável que fazia parte do clã Cephei, alguém respeitado por muitos e apoiado pelo Conselho de Magia em seus ensinamentos fora da instituição, com uma política que combinava as artes orientais e técnicas de espada ao potencial da magia bruxesca; era através da proficiência no autocontrole e disciplina que seus alunos eram ensinados, e por isso, as incidências de jovens bruxos que sucumbiam ao pecado naquela região era praticamente inexistente, visto que suas atividades buscavam fortalecer a mente dos alunos com lições exaustivas e severas.

Em 2019, no entanto, quando o estopim da guerra deu seus primeiros sinais e a notícia de destruição da cidade mágica de Byeoldo tomou conhecimento por todos, com cenários estranhos acontecendo em todo o mundo e portais perdendo suas defesas para criaturas malignas e mais poderosas do que uma vez citadas nos livros de magia, o dojang tomou a decisão de enviar membros como equipe de reforço para o controle dos danos deixados pela catástrofe que se iniciava no mundo mágico.

O envolvimento dos bruxos de fora do domínio, por outro lado, não agradava muitas cabeças, sejam elas internas ou externas. E em uma única noite, no que o desespero da insanidade os destruía de dentro para fora como que sendo contaminados por parasitas da loucura, um feitiço poderoso esvaiu a vida no olhar dos jovens enlouquecidos e pela manhã presenteou um assassinato escorado no motivo de um suicídio, por desgosto e pela culpa de ser considerado uma falha como mestre – e uma mentira desgarrada de algum imbecil sem originalidade.

Após o incidente, diferente dos que renunciaram à bruxaria por medo do que lhes havia sido marcado sobre o outro lado, Junghyo persistiu em seguir na magia ocultista por conta própria, ainda que o breu do vazio que experimentou nunca deixasse seu corpo nem sua alma. Pois, além do abismo avassalador que o atingiu dentro da ilusão, consigo a sua escuridão continuou sem fim, dentre gritos e visões que refletiam a mente descaída de um rosto pútrido e corrompido de quem revelava sua presença apenas com um riso áspero e gutural de um demônio: o que fez ao arrancar seus próprios olhos num ato de insanidade permaneceu como uma cicatriz de impotência e raiva eterna na alma de Tsar.

Levou meses até se acostumar com a fraqueza e encontrar um feitiço compatível que lhe devolvesse a visão de alguma forma, o que apareceu num símbolo oculto que, no seu maior potencial, é como se aumentasse o senso e a percepção de seu conjurador para níveis extremos, algo entregue por um velho conhecido de seu professor de dentro do Conselho que o ofereceu a mão como um companheiro de clã – e quem o indicou também à Órion, para o posto de sentinela.

Na maior parte do tempo, porém, não utiliza o feitiço em sua forma original, pelos efeitos que podem ocorrer com o consumo extremo de vigor que ele absorve, então, no dia a dia, apenas se contenta em traduzir meramente as silhuetas de energia atrás de uma venda encantada, na qual Junghyo passou a usar como se carregasse um castigo, ou para fingir que está acordado quando realmente não está, mas principalmente, para lembrar o ódio ao qual entregou seu destino, até que um dia consiga vingar o sofrimento de seus irmãos e a morte de seu mestre.

Goodbye To Goodbye was one of the first dramas I watched when I got into k-dramas and I watched it in only three days! It got me glued to my screen for hours and it's one of my favourites to this very day. I love to just sit down and rewatch it when I have some free time.

This k-drama touches the subjects of unexpected and teen pregnancy, cheating, adaptation to the circumstances, and even though it has some moments of intense angst, it also has some that melt my heart into a puddle.

The drama starts by presenting us four teenage friends, Jung Hyo (Jo BoAh), MinSoo (Jun (former U-KISS and UNB member)), AhIn (Oh HaNee) and NamShik (Yoo SuBin), being that the first two are one of the main couples the story is gonna revolve around. Well... Kind of.

MinSoo, just like his father, is a womanizer and has no problem going behind JungHyo's back to be with other girls. He is just about to leave her (or pretend to do so) for one of his flings when suddenly, she drops a bomb on him: She's pregnant with his child. After rejecting his new soon to be fatherly role, he tells JungHyo to abort the baby. Feeling betrayed by the one she loves and refusing to get rid of her child, she moves to his mother's house, expecting the support she didn't have from Minsoo.

Minsoo's mother, YoungHee (Chae ShiRa) has separated from Minsoo's father, Sang Jin (Lee SungJae) who had previously cheated on her and had a child with his mistress. After this mishap, she doesn't leave their once shared house again. JongHyo is gonna bring a lot of changes to this woman's life, let's say her pregnancy is what sets the tone for the plot of this drama to work as well as it did for me. Even though they fight a lot in the beginning, they start to grow fond of one another and understanding each other more and more with the passing time.

Even though Minsoo's parents live in different houses, YoungHee refuses to divorce her husband because once she does, she will lose everything that was once theirs to his mistress (Jung HyeYoung), who along with her mother (Yang HeeKyung) will fight to obtain what they want until the end.

In the beginning, not many people support JungHyo's decision to keep the baby and just when we think she finally got acceptance for her baby to be born into the world, she gets diagnosed with toxemia, which she inherited from her estranged mother, and everyone turns against her decision once again, causing her to run away.

This drama does not revolve around romantic love as most of the ones we watch, instead, it revolves around motherly love. It shows us the struggles and hardships different women have to go through to raise their kids in the most diverse contexts and backgrounds.

I fell completely in love with the two secondary couples as well, Minsoo's aunt (Ha ShiEun), his father's sister, and his junior colleague (Kim SanHo) who are indeed a match made in heaven, two people who have to struggle and fix SangJin's mistakes, and AhIn and NamShik, who never really become a couple, but oh my, are they funny!

It is also heart melting to see JungHyo's father (Jung WoongIn), who cares for her like she's a delicate flower, which we wouldn't expect from a though man that further down we learn that he isn't.

JungHyo goes through a rough path trying to figure out who her true friends are and trying to work out her relationship with Minsoo, who at one point wants to get back with her so long as she agrees not to have the baby, borderline forcing her to get an abortion. It is amazing to see her character development and how much the teen that's presented to us in the beginning changes after realizing she's going to be a mother. With help coming mostly from MinSoo's mother, she's able to take care of herself and her baby all the while having the maturity to make the decisions she needs to make and helping others get their lives back on track.

It is JungHyo's and MinSoo's baby who had been so rejected at first who is going to bring these people to move on from the past and live their lives. He gets his grandma to leave the house and to start living her life again, even taking the step she had dreaded so much of divorcing SangJin, who I think at some point has fallen for her all over again or maybe discovers that he has never stopped doing so but sees himself forced to marry his mistress so her daughter can finally have him recognized as her father. JungHyo gets to understand why her mother (Jang SoYeon) abandoned her and her father and what she went through when she had her. All these women end up forming a bond with one another and being in speaking terms with one another.

It is a drama that always leaves a knot on my throat as I watch it but also fills my heart with love and happiness until the very end when MinSoo himself becomes a family devoted man and we can see how much love he actually has for JungHyo and his son. It's delightful to see this young family making their path as they slowly discover themselves and their identities not only as individuals but also as new parents.
