Note
saw ur post abt idol and ship dynamic so can i request model ricky x fashion designer reader where all of the collection were designed for ricky? like there's a runway event and of course ricky being the main character of the event but also whipped for reader ^^
[when there’s a lock on the door]. ricky shen— whose face is on billboards and advertisements at every corner of the country, whose name is in the mouths of every tabloid, every passerby in the streets, and in every column and every article in weekly magazines— is currently on his knees on worn out the carpet of the dressing room floor.
“eyes up, pretty boy. look at me.”
he’s got his head resting on your lap, buried by his folded arms as a groan rumbles in his throat. the vibrations shoot into your bones when he peers up to look at you. “i’m tired,” he says. “kiss me.” now, you can’t quite pinpoint the correlation between those two phrase, but does logic really matter when forbes-declared, one of the most unattainable men in the country, is driven senseless at the mercy of your touch?
“come and get it.”
those fierce eyes on the runway are gone— half-lidded and replaced by dark gems dipped in sweet, sweet, honey. his once perfectly styled hair is now a mess under your fingers, crisp jacket now wrinkled and folded when he scrambles to his feet, stumbling off-balance in the rush to capture your lips with his.
his entire frame eats up your own, a tight grip on the back of your chair as he groans into your mouth. if the journalists right outside the door could see him like this right now, a storm would brew.
“i thought you were tired,” you laugh softly, fixing your hands on the back of his neck. your eyes flit over to his smudged lipstick. when you bring down a thumb to wipe it off, he presses a kiss to the pads of your fingertip, down to your palm and wrist until his face somehow sinks into the warmth between your neck and right shoulder. ricky is tired. he’s straddling your lap and sinking himself deeper into your scent, his body engulfing yours, and you let him.

Nothing's More Important Than Quidditch
Fred Weasley x Reader
Warnings: Some Swearing. Highly Suggestive. Someone gets hurt.
This story is inspired from a request of my F.R.I.E.N.D.S Themed Prompt List.
Using Prompts two and three: "OH...MY...GOOOOD!"/"MY EYES! MY EEYEES!"
Tumblr media
Fred and George Weasley were men of simple tastes. They liked pranks, food and Quidditch. Though if you were to ask Fred he would argue that there were nothing more important than Quidditch.
He'd never missed a game. Never missed a practice, and had been able to afford it he'd never miss a Cup. So that being said, you can imagine how shocked his team were when he told them he wasn't feeling well enough to train tonight.
"You're dying aren't you?"
"What? No, Lee. I'm not dying!"
"Then I'm sorry I mustn't have heard right when, the Fredrick Gideon Weasley, just said he wasn't well enough to play Quidditch?"
"Piss off."
It was Sunday lunch in the Great Hall and Angelina had the whole Gryffindor team huddled together. She was discussing her newest game strategies when Fred spoke abruptly, all eyes bulging at his words. Expressions a mixture of confusion and concern. Fred never. Missed. A. Game.
"Hey!" [Y/N] had arrived and happily sat her self amongst her close group of friends. "What's with the faces?" Her brows furrowed as she filled a Goblet with her favourite drink.
"Fred says he's not training Tonight." Angelina answered, still gawking at the Redhead in question.
[Y/N] choked on her drink. "He's what!?" She coughed, hand on her chest in shock.
"It's not a big deal!" Fred groaned. "I've just got one cracker of a headache. Need to sleep it off and I'll be right as rain." He forced a smile, though to the group it appeared more as a painful grimace.
"Well, I do hope you feel better." [Y/N] leant over the table, placing her hand atop of his to offer some comfort with a reassuring smile. "What about the rest of you?" She straightened herself, taking a pastry from the bowl infront of them as she did so.
"We're still training" George replied, "Not all of us roll over because of a wittle headache" he pouted at his brother, trying to stir him up. Fred retaliated, through the light laughter of his friends, by throwing a bread roll at his brother.
"Coming to watch, [Y/N]?" George spoke, still laughing as he brushed crumbs from his clothes.
"Afraid I can't, tonight."
"What!?" Lee groaned, "come on! I'm going!"
"Yes, well as tempting as it may be to spend more time by your side Lee", she leant into him with doey eyes batting her eyelashes flirtatiously, hands cupping his bicep. Returning to her previous position she continued, "I have so much Homework to do it's not funny. I'll find myself joining the next Headless Hunt if I don't hand Snape his Most Potent Poisons Assessment tomorrow."
"Barrell of fun you two are, today" George rolled his eyes.
"Right, well the rest of you. We've got training to do!" Angelina stood, gesturing for the Quidditch team to follow. Somewhat begrudgingly, with various disapproving moans escaping their lips, they made for the Pitch.
"Positive you'll be okay, Freddie?" George lagged behind in a final ditch effort to convince his brother to join them. "You could always just watch from the stands."
"I'm positive, Georgie. I'm just not right at the moment."
"Do you want me to stay? I will if that's what you'd prefer..."
"Who are you? Mum now?" Fred joked "Get out of here you sap!" He waved his arm as if trying to shoo him from the hall.
"Don't worry, George. I'll look after him" [Y/N] assured.
"Such a faithful little bestie you are." He said while ruffling her hair. "Alright then, see you two in a couple hours" he waved to them as he ran to catch up with his team.
"Come on you. Let's get you to bed." [Y/N] spoke to Fred and they made their way to the common room.
---
So much for a couple hours. Mere forty minutes later saw the same team arriving back through the Fat Lady.
"How was I supposed to know she was right behind me!?" George complained loudly, followed closely into the room by the light giggles of Lee and Harry. No such laughter, however, could be heard from the mouth of the Gryffindor Captain.
"A concussion George! You gave Katie a concussion!" She was near shouting at the boy.
"I SAID I WAS SORRY! I didn't see her!" He threw his arms up in defence. "Pomfrey says she'll be right in a few days, what's the fuss?"
"The fuss, George, is that we just lost a whole night's training! You're just lucky our next game isn't for another fortnight, Weasley. I have to take Katie some things for her stay in the Hospital Wing, YOU! had better think fast about how to make this up to her." With a final menacing point of her finger Angelina stormed off towards the dormitory she shared with Katie.
"Should we check on Fred?" Lee spoke to break the guilty silence.
"Yeah, hey - don't forget to tell him how his Golden Boy brother sent our best chaser to the infirmary!" Harry goaded making his way over to Hermione and Ron by the fire.
"Little prat" George grumbled as he and Lee made their way to the dormitory. Lee was laughing hard at his friends remark."He doesn't watch it he won't be 'The Boy who lived' for much longer. Might pick up where You-Know-Who left off." George went on as he leant his back against the door, pushing it open as his hand twisted the door knob. Lee's laughter only increased.
"I'd like to see you- OH...MY...GOOOOD!!" laughter and smiles faded instantly as his eyes fell on the tangled mess of sheets and the bodies of his two close friends in place of where Fred should have been resting.
The sudden exclamations catching the attention of [Y/N] and Fred, their eyes shooting directly across the, should have been empty, bedroom.
"SHIT!" Fred yelled as he pulled off of [Y/N] and covered her with his blanket. "YOU WEREN'T MEANT TO BE BACK FOR A COUPLE HOURS!"
"MY EYES! MY EEYYEES!!" George screamed dramatically. Turning away from the scene he covered his face by his hands, desperately trying to lose the imagine of his brothers and best friends mostly naked bodies.
"It's not what you think!" [Y/N] began, throwing Fred's jumper on over her head which could very well have been a dress on her. She stood, tugging at the material willing it to stay in place before fixing her hair.
"It doesn't look like you were napping!" Lee snapped sarcastically, "nor does it look much like a POTIONS ASSIGNMENT!"
"[Y/N]" George began, not turning to face the two - rather speaking to the ceiling as his back faced them. "I know you said you'd look after my brother but MERLIN I should have laid out some guidelines, that is not how you handle a headache."
Fred had put on a pair of trousers and a singlet and quickly made his way to stand infront of the two boys, arms out pleadingly, "I know you're both a little shocked right now and this is going to take some time to process but for the love of GODRICK!" He clenched his teeth and spoke in a low growl, "would you keep your voices down before the entire bloody common room hears yo-"
"WHAT'S GOING ON!?" Ron had burst through the door. "Oh God" Fred groaned throwing his head back walking away from the door.
"We heard shouting, is everything okay?" Hermione asked frantic, as Harry followed her in.
"Yes, Hermione everything's fine -" [Y/N] went to explain.
"NO!" Lee interrupted "NO! THEY'RE DOING IT!" He screamed pointing his finger accusingly at the two red-faced teens. Harrys eyes were wide with shock.
"It's not what you all think! Please just listen to me..." Fred begged as [Y/N] stood beside him. Looking to one another defeatedly.
Everyone, aside from George, turned to face them. Awaiting the explanation as to why these two had been...doing what they were.
"Uhmmm..." seeing the group stare before him suddenly ran Freds mind blank. "This isn't the first time this has happened. Actually it happens a lot." Not the best opener. The group grimaced, looking very uncomfortable at their friends confession. [Y/N] dropped her head into her hand. "What I mean is" he tried to recover, "this isn't a one time deal. We're not just fooling around, we're..." the words caught in his throat.
What were they? A couple? Was he wrong and they were just friends with benefits? What was this?
They looked at one another, Fred's eyes searching [Y/N]'s face for the answer. She smiled, grabbing his hand gently.
"We're together" she spoke. Eyes not leaving Fred.
"That's great and all. But this is still traumatising." Lee deadpanned as he gestured between the couple and Fred's bed.
George cleared his throat, "umm, yeah. I'm really happy for you two."
"That'd be more convincing, had you actually said it to us rather than the wall." [Y/N] laughed. Fred threw his arm over her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. Georges head turned slightly, eyeing the two in his peripheral before shutting his eyes tightly. Trying to muster the courage. "Yeah, sorry bout that just...it may be difficult to look at you the same for a while. I saw a lot more than I'd had like to." Everyone laughed at the comment. The light atmosphere helping him to relax a bit he turned to face them. Even if his eyes fixed to anything but them.
"Wait a minute." Harrys laughter had stopped completely. "Did you two plan this whole thing?"
"I guarantee we never planned on getting caught" Fred replied.
Rolling his eyes Harry continued "ditching practice I mean."
Lee and George both looked at each other before slowly turning to glare at the couple.
"Well. Yeah" [Y/N] answered.
A slow clap started to sound throughout the room as Lee and George mockingly applauded the two. "Well done. Truly you two that was quite the convincing performance." George smirked. "Honestly, [Y/N], that spit take really sold the whole thing. Couldn't have done better myself." Lee nodded as she playfully curtsied with her hand on the seam of Fred's jumper.
"WELL!" Lee clapped once loudly, rubbing his hands together. "This calls for a celebration. Shall we?" He bowed to the door, ushering everyone from the room.
"Ummm Lee. Mind if I put some pants on first?"
"If you-OH! right. Yeah. Meet you two down there!" He was the last to leave, closing the door with a quick wink.
Fred and [Y/N] looked shyly back to one another before breaking into fits of side splitting laughter. Fred wrapping his arms around her waist as they calmed down.
"So...we're together, huh?" He grinned resting their foreheads against one another.
"Only if that's what you want." [Y/N] placed her hands on his chest, eyes nervously searching his.
"That's all I've ever wanted" he moved a hand to the back of her neck, pulling her lips into his. Kissing her like he never had before.
Fred and George Weasley were simple men. They liked pranks, food and Quidditch. Though if you were to ask Fred, he would argue there were nothing more important than Quidditch. Well...maybe one thing.

Groaning loudly, Dean dropped his head as you paced around the room, complaining for the hundredth time that night.
“Will you stop?” He grumbled. You came to a halt when you heard his words and turned to look towards him. Throwing a glare his way you continued your pacing .
“Y/N/N, stop it. This isn't going to solve our problem - it'll only annoy the tenants downstairs,” he said and got up from his chair.
“What are we supposed to do? My pacing around is definitely not helping neither is your what, fourth glass of whiskey,” you retorted.
“Third,” Dean said, “this is my third glass and I'm tryin’ to get drunk.”
“We ended up in this situation because we were slacking and this is exactly what we are doing again,” you raised your voice, regretting your decision to stay at Dean’s house with him, “if you won't even try to get out of this situation, I'll be going back to my house tomorrow.”
“You won't stay alone in that house until we catch that son of a bitch,” he said, setting his glass and walking over to you, “it's dangerous.”
You knew it was dangerous considering how the house you had rented in Kansas was destroyed when you had gone back to get your belongings - furniture was thrashed, utensils were broken and clothes were torn, but nothing was stolen. It was clear that Crowley's men were trying to send you a sign to leave their boss alone.
It was Bobby who suggested that staying alone and travelling a few kilometres everyday to discuss the proceedings of the case would be a bad idea since Crowley and Co. were waiting for the perfect opportunity to cause disruption in the case. And knowing how ruthless Crowley could be, murder and kidnapping didn't seem like a far-fetched option for him.
Dean had piped up saying it would be better to stay at his house since he had noticed your house had a weak security system. His other reason was that he had a car, unlike you.
Needless to say, you had reluctantly agreed to stay with the green eyed detective, but deep down inside, you knew that staying with Dean gave you a sense of security and you didn't want to let that go.
“We will figure a way out,” he said, standing a little too close to you.
“How?” You asked the obvious question.
“I have contacted my brother. He will be working as our lawyer to get them to drop the charges. Sammy will be here early morning tomorrow,” he said, removing a stray piece of hair from your face, “but you gotta cool down, sweetheart. Give that pretty little head of yours a little rest.”
“I-I can't. I am freaking out Dean,” you said.
“I know. You have almost bore a hole in the ground by your pacing,” you hit his arm lightly, making him chuckle, “I'm thinkin’ about the case too.”
“Is Sam-will he be able to….this is a critical one,” you mumbled, looking down at the floor.
“I have faith in my brother and he can go to hell and back to save me just like I can. Sammy will do anything to help us. Trust me,” he said, putting a finger under your chin, prompting you to look up at him. He leaned in and placed a kiss on your forehead. This simple act worked like a sedative and you calmed down a bit.
“Join me for a drink,” Dean said and strolled his way back to the couch. You followed him and took a seat beside him. Pouring a drink, he handed you the glass.
“One drink. Only.” You said.
“Alright.”
“Who do you think might be the mole?” you asked, taking a sip of your drink
“It can be anyone. Charlie, Kevin, Bobby, Rufus-”
“Ruby, you,” he nodded, “me.”
“Like I said, it could be anyone,” Dean said.
“Motive?”
“Depends.”
“Do you think we can prove our innocence?” You asked, “the cops kinda caught us red handed and-”
“It's….tough.” Dean said and jumped out of his seat, knocking over the tumbler of ice.
You tilted your head in confusion, furrowing your eyebrows.
“What?” You insisted.
“A few years back, when we were only fledglings in the bureau, Rufus Turner was working Crowley’s case. This information was in the case file that Bobby gave to us. He had arrested two men in his gang but by the time they had got to know about that dick, they had already lost him. He had escaped the feds again,” he explained, flailing his arms all around in excitement.
“Maybe we can find out who those two men were and interrogate them about Crowley,” you said, smiling a little for the first time that night, knowing you had a lead.
“Now all we need is access to those two men's files. FBI is not gonna help us so we have to take matters in our own hands. I’ll call Ash and ask him to find those,” Dean said and ran back to his room to get his phone.
“Ash? What about Charlie?” You asked, when he came back to the room, “And shouldn't you tell Sam first? He is our lawyer and he should be informed about this.”
“It's not like we are gonna interrogate a witness and Ash is a good friend of mine. He is not a fed whereas Charlie works at the bureau and right now we can't trust anyone who works there because we don't know who might be working as a two-faced devil and ratting us out to the God of the Underworld,” Dean said, dialing Ash’s number.
“Ash,” he said when the said man picked up the phone after a few rings.
“Listen, we are kind of in a tricky situation here-oh you heard….not really, we got one week….no it won't….I know you're a busy man, Ash,” Dean said, rolling his eyes, “but we need your help….yeah….the thing is we need access to the old case files related to the drug mafia Crowley….yeah I know that genius….can't you-fine….I owe you one.”
“So?” You asked, hoping for good news.
“Ash will let us know by morning,” he said.
“Can we trust him?”
“Yes.”
“Okay,” you reached for the bottle of whiskey.
“What do you think you're doing?” Dean asked, raising his brow.
“Relaxin’,” you shrugged, “you should try to relax sometimes.”
“You think you're such a smartass, huh?” He said and plopped down on the couch beside you, making you giggle.
“Thanks for tonight, Winchester,” you turned towards your friend.
“For what? For helping you calm down when you were running around like a headless chicken?” He smirked.
“Shut up,” you grumbled, “you know what I mean.”
“I'm here for you. We're in this shit together and I promise to get us out of this mess,” he said as you moved closer to him.
“And I have faith in you.” He pulled you closer and kept your head on his shoulder. He hummed in response. You closed your eyes, sighing loudly, but the sweet moment of coziness was interrupted quickly.
Your eyes flew open, “You son of a bitch, Winchester! Way to ruin a moment! How dare you put ice in my sweatshirt?” Dean laughed out loud.
“First of all, that's my sweatshirt you are wearing and you were looking too peaceful with your head on my shoulder,” he laughed.
“Fuck you!” You growled, and hit his arm hard.
“Ow!” He rubbed his arms. Dean effectively dodged your second attack, “woah, easy there tiger.” By now you were laughing too. As your laughter died down, you looked at Dean and saw him smiling softly at you. You blushed furiously under his strong gaze.
“You hungry?” Dean asked, clearing his throat.
“Uh-huh. Kinda forgot about food today until now.” You said, diverting your eyes.
“I'm thinking about ordering pizza. You okay with that?” He asked.
“Sure.” You said.
Half an hour later, as you were enjoying the delicious pizza and watching some crappy tv trying to put a break on the racing thoughts, you heard Dean speak.
“About earlier,” he sighed.
“Oh yeah. You better be sorry Winchester,” you gave him an annoyed look.
“No, I'm not sorry for that. It was fun,” he laughed.
“No it wasn't,” you said, but failed to hide the smile threatening to take over your face.
“It made you smile,” he pointed out.
“Fine, you're forgiven,” you said as Dean gave you a cheeky grin.
“In all seriousness, what I said earlier, I meant it. I promise to get us out of this mess,” he said, leaning down to give you a chaste kiss on your cheek, your skin tingling with an unknown sensation.
“I know,” you said, “I think I should go to bed now. We have a long day ahead of us.” Dean nodded as you got up and made your way over to his guest room.

Isaiah 6:1-7:25, 2 Corinthians 11:16-33, Psalms 54:1-7, Proverbs 23:1-3
Today is the 10th day of September welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I'm Brian it is a joy as it is every day to be here together around the Global Campfire, just an oasis, an oasis in life that we can come to, allow the Scriptures to speak into our lives, know that we’re not alone and reorient ourselves for our day, our week, our month, our year, just reorient ourselves to God. And, so, let's do that. We’re reading from the Christian Standard Bible this week and we’re moving our way into the book of Isaiah. I’d say we’re about 10%, 10% into the book of Isaiah, and I guess…if I’m guessing and we’re doing percentages we’re probably about 75% through the letter from Paul to the Corinthians, the one that we’re moving through, second Corinthians. So, let's dive in. Isaiah 6 and 7 today.
Commentary:
Okay. So, we are far enough into the writings of the apostle Paul now and we spent time understanding his ministry in the book of Acts that we’ve kind of gotten to know him and maybe some of our assumptions about him have been reframed a little bit because you kind of come to the Bible with this idea that this early church was just a smooth sailing and the apostle Paul is responsible for so much of the New Testament that he was a revered apostle. And he is a revered apostle at this point but we can see that in the early days, I mean, he was struggling in all directions. And today we can see Paul squirming to some degree, because he's defending himself and he’s defending himself in a way that he doesn't want to be defending himself because defending himself in this way, which is boasting, like basically trying to measure up, like that really doesn’t produce…that doesn't go anywhere good because he’s backed into a corner because of the “super-apostles” that are referred to in this letter. And we talked about that a couple of days ago as we were kinda getting into this territory in the letter that…I mean…Paul established these churches, but people were coming in behind Paul and sharing the gospel and some of these people had some pedigree, whether they were known as super-apostles at the time or not is unknown but it's probably because they had some sort of direct association with Jesus in some sort of way that would give them this kind of credibility. And, so, it automatically makes Paul look less than. And man, this should start sounding familiar because we find ourselves in these the same kinds of situations where we’ve gotta measure up but the only way to measure up is…is to basically toot our own horn, like tell what we've done, how we measure up to and that's where Paul is. And he's…he's like, “Im a Hebrew just like they are. I’m an Israelite just like they are. I’m a descendent of Abram…Abraham just like they are. Are they the servants of Christ? I'm crazy for saying this but I am a bigger better servant of Christ because what I’ve had to go through. I’ve worked tirelessly. I’ve been thrown into prison more than they have. I’ve been beaten a lot more than they have. I’ve faced all of the things that you know I've faced.” So, we can get Paul a couple thousand years ago and go, “okay. I see what's going on there but I also see that…I mean…that it’s still going on in the world, measuring up by comparing each other…comparing ourselves to somebody else is kind of the way of things. It doesn't really lead anywhere, which is why Paul’s like, “I hate that I have to do this.” But the greater point here is that Paul is not having any type of smooth sailing. Like this inauguration of the Good News, this bringing of the gospel into the world, this sharing the story of Jesus isn't…like there's nothing about it that’s easy for him. He has to endure. He is deeply committed enough to Jesus to do whatever he has to do.
And it's not like Paul's the only one that has to endure. Like if we just look at the Psalm that we read today. We have David on the run for his life from King Saul. He has been betrayed by somebody who saw him and betrayed his whereabouts. And, so, now he's in a life and death situation as he was often. And, so he cries out, “come with your power. Rescue me. Defend me. Vindicate me with Your might. Hear me. Listen to the words of my mouth. Strangers are against me. They’re rising up. Violent people intend to kill me. They’re not listening to you, God. They don't let you be their guide.” So, David's enduring.
Like it's so funny how we think that we have some sort of pass and we don't have to learn to endure things, that we don't have to wrestle with our faith or as Paul says in another of his letters, the letter to the Philippians, that we should “work out our salvation…work it out with fear and trembling.” It’s like really difficult to find in any story in the Bible that does not include endurance and perseverance and struggle. And Jesus, our Savior was like, “if the world hates you, you gotta remember it hated me first.”
So, this resistance that we’re seeing in the life of Paul is happening from within the church against him as people are choosing their favorite leaders. And he has to endure this while being an example of Christ to everybody who is questioning him. This isn’t unlike John the Baptist faced. This is like…isn’t unlike what Jesus faced, this isn’t like…this isn’t unlike what most of the early church faced but we all face this. Like, this is human. Like to have resistance in our lives is part of the story of our humanity and no one ever claimed that it wasn't. The Bible doesn't claim that it’s not part of the story. In fact, it assures us that endurance in fact is a major part of the story. It's a necessary part of life. We hate that but it's a necessary part of life. You don't grow strong without resistance. Like…like you can't grow more muscles for your body without resistance. You can't grow strong mentally without facing cognitive dissonance and wrestling through. You can’t grow spiritually strong without having to contend for it. And we’re well far enough into the Bible to have experienced stories of people who just completely caved, melted, buckled and fell apart. And we’re also privy to stories of people who were willing to endure until the very, very last nanosecond of their very very last breath.
So, I know like that…I know this has been a challenging year and it's a challenging time but when is it not? Like when are we not facing some sort of challenge? And mostly we’re like praying for God to make it go away. And maybe we’re just missing the point altogether. Maybe we shouldn't be praying for God to make it go away. Maybe we should be praying for God to make us stronger…like stronger in this, that like…like that what seems like it's going to bowl us over today is going to seem like nothing a year from now so the things that once terrified us we just see as kind of normal because we endured, we have mastered, we have overcome, we are stronger than we were because we endured whatever was necessary. So, this resistance is not purposeless. Like it's not just a waste of our time and a diminishment of our experience of life. It is actually making us wise and strong and resolute and confident in our God and bold in the message of faith. If you've endured and you've lived through it, then you have convictions that…well you have moral authority to speak about it in ways that are totally different than if it's just a theoretical concept. What we have actually lived through and into is who we are. And, so, what story are we telling?
Prayer:
Father we invite You into that. Even as we see a couple of examples in the Scriptures today of endurance of difficulty of squirming even, trying to figure out how to navigate, how to navigate being compared which is so unhelpful. And, so, we take these lessons that we see in the Scriptures, these examples that we see in the Scriptures, and we realize they are Your guidance. These are examples. This is where the roads go. Holy Spirit come, open our eyes that we might see the path that we are walking and make the adjustments necessary. Make us stronger Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:
Hello DAB family this is a Prayer Warrior from Tennessee I’ve been listening for three years but this is the first time that I’ve called in. And to be honest I’ve I felt a little prompt in me to call for a while and just have been pushing back against that. Thank you, Brian and all the team that…that puts this thing together. It’s been such an encouragement to me, and I’ve been praying behind the scenes for this. I desperately could use prayer and my wife. My wife has been battling, what we’ve recently found out to be a chronic illness for the past nine years at least the nine years of our marriage and…and I’m worn out and she’s worn out and we’re struggling financially and there’s a lot that is weighing on my shoulders and I just need prayer is a restoration for me, for her, prayers for wisdom and for focus, prayers for provision for our family and protection from temptation to…for me to fall back into some past sin habits as coping mechanisms for everything that we’re going through. So, we’re just…appreciate your prayers for us during the season. I’m lifting up the…the prayer requests that come in and I’m trusting God is going to…to answer and hear but just feel so weary and I know he’s there but don’t feel Him at times and just I know I’m supposed to reach out to you guys. So, I thank you for your faithfulness and lifting up the prayer requests and know that I’m…I’m praying for you. God bless. Thank you.
[singing starts] Hallelujah He has one the victory. Hallelujah He has one it all for me. Death could not hold you down. You are the risen King. See what a Majesty. You are the risen King [singing stops]
I received a full day’s pay for one hours work and a lot of people got upset and called the boss a jerk but I’m thankful for his mercy his generosity’s great because there’s nothing I’ve done to deserve such a fate the earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof he says I am that I am when I give out my love I rain on the righteous I rain on the thief both of their problems and I give both of them relief it’s not about them or the things that they do my grace is sufficient for them and for you I am the potter in you are the clay complain all you want it will still be my way nothing you’ve done is deserving of love when I look what I see is my son from up above his blood is your garment it’s his blood I see he gave up his life to bring you to me so sit back and relax secure in my grace because if you know my son then you’re in the right place complaining and grumbling are what humans do some folks are happy but those folks are few the prize goes to those who endure to the end but all of you are my children and I love you Amen thank you dear Lord I could never repay I worked for one hour and got paid for the whole day
[email protected] I’d like to give a shout out to my buddy bighearted Ben and his mother from Pennsylvania and I’d also like to give a shout out to Drew from the Bay Area haven’t heard from you in a while hope you’re still hanging in there brother. Know you’re all loved and prayed for daily. And once again Brian and the Hardin family thank you for this wonderful podcast for God’s Holy Spirit to flow. Keep it flowing y’all. All right. Bye-bye.
Hi DAB community I’m calling in I’ve been a longtime listener. I’ve been feeling more led that I should be calling in more frequently. I’ve only called in three times in 15 years. So, I wanted to come up with a name though that was fitting based on what the Lord thinks of me and not what I think of me. So, I’ve thought long and hard. I reviewed…actually I spent some time reviewing journaling that I’ve done over the past two decades and really the themes are, you know, longing to live into and through my identity in Christ, really to understand who He says that I am and not living under condemnation because it’s so easy to just be myself up, and to stop turning to food instead of God in times of stress and all times. That’s my vice. So, the name I’ve chosen is Princess Warrior Karen. So, let us pray. Lord God I pray that I and all in the Daily Audio Bible family, not only come to know our identity in Christ but we will walk and live into it and out of it. Help us to truly live as forgiven in love sinners made whole by Christ. Help us to know that we are warriors. You have and will prepare us for every battle. O Lord so often we walk around defeated not because we are but because we failed to armor up. Today Lord help us to live as the prince or princess warriors that we are, protect us from the enemy, help us to walk away from the idols whatever they may be – food, drugs, lust, alcohol - that bind us Lord and help us to walk in Your freedom. This is Princess Warrior Karen saying armor up all.
Hey family this is Work in Progress here in California. Please pray for our state. It’s on fire. My parents just evacuated the…my childhood home up in the mountains. Fire’s kind of pressing in and there’s already been some little communities, little town called the Big Creek, I don’t think there’s anything left of it. I think the fire swept through their and fire’s…communities like Shaver Lake are also like…well…they’re burning and…and people are fleeing. And so far, it sounds like people are…are safe for the most part but I just pray that these fires are extinguished. And, so, if you could do that, I would appreciate it. We would all appreciate it. We still got a lot of fire season left and we do need…we need the Lord’s miraculous hand to put these fires out. So, thank you.
Hey, DABbers this is Slave of Jesus in North Carolina. Alright Holy Spirit was roll. So, I’m gonna maybe finish testimony but also give some praise reports. I don’t do that very often. You know, hard-core atheist and I’ll…I’ll take the title prayer warrior. But, you know, coming to the DAB as an atheist I had never prayed. I mean…I think I’d only heard a few graces from the Catholic family across the street when I ate dinner at their house, but I just listened to the DAB and we had, you know, some old-school prayer warriors like from Maryland and Oklahoma City and we had a cop from Georgia and this guy Drew from the Bay area and a teacher in LA but there are whole bunch of others but they were calling in praying for people. And, so, I just kind of emulated them and I just started praying for every single caller as many people do who don’t even call in and I would just ask before, you know start praying, I’d ask the Holy Spirit and just what do I need to say about this and I’d start my prayers and I pray alongside with those. So, those are my first couple years of the DAB. I’ve been able to see my younger daughter come to Christ and even got baptized last year. I stopped calling my wife and oldest daughter atheists and lo and behold within a year they both had medical steers and they told me face-to-face they are not atheists but I can’t even tell you all the changes that have happened in my life from not having the having a single Bible to theirs Bible Daily Audio Bible everywhere Bibles everywhere in my house and again it’s not your outward appearance it’s…it’s your inward but all the DVDs that were R-rated are gone. I mean here’s the best example or praise report. The other day my wife who would normally make me shut off all my Christian music asked Alexa to play “you say” and she started singing the song “you say” and then my younger daughter started singing with her “you say”. And for those of you who know the long story that is a huge praise report. So, love you all. Have a great day.
Good morning DAB family this is Summon Solomon from Hydro Bird India. I pray the sister who has…she has…one her of her sons lapsed into drugs. My son only the most-high can give you the most high and look to the most high for your highs. And there is nothing so rewarding as to have the favor of the Lord and you can feel the favor wash over you. And I pray the anointing of God be strong in your life so that you don’t relapse into drugs ever again. And I can give you my yes, my word, that…that the life in which God is there, whose God is present is in ever present reality is far far better than that…than that which drugs can give you. Please don’t take the drug you get a little used to it and you need more of the drug each time. If not each time after some price you need some more of the drug to give you the same high. So, I pray you stop using drugs and I pray for meaningful relationships to come your way so you can be bolstered by the relationship…
