Are you listening to lead?

Last year I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Mike Perk of World Wide Creative as part of a series of videos they are making on Future Fit Leadership. We chatted about what I see in organisations I work in and the key characteristics are that I observe in really great leaders when it comes to driving change and innovation. You can watch it here..

Bottom line, is that time and time again I see that the leaders who listen to their people, are the leaders who get great results. Do you allow people the time to think when they are in a meeting with you? Could you ask more questions and listen more in order to tap into the creative potential of people in your team?  In a world so full of noise, the greatest gift we can give to people is the opportunity to hear themselves think. Sometime we just have to remind ourselves to sit back and listen.
