Are you listening to lead?

Last year I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Mike Perk of World Wide Creative as part of a series of videos they are making on Future Fit Leadership. We chatted about what I see in organisations I work in and the key characteristics are that I observe in really great leaders when it comes to driving change and innovation. You can watch it here..

Bottom line, is that time and time again I see that the leaders who listen to their people, are the leaders who get great results. Do you allow people the time to think when they are in a meeting with you? Could you ask more questions and listen more in order to tap into the creative potential of people in your team?  In a world so full of noise, the greatest gift we can give to people is the opportunity to hear themselves think. Sometime we just have to remind ourselves to sit back and listen.

Presenting With Power

I’ve hit the ground running with various keynotes and workshops and have also just sent my first ever book to print! A guide on how to Present With Power  which is a big bucket list item for me. This is the first version that will be the manual for my six week courses, but the final version will soon be part of the Heavy Chef series, so I'm excited to nearly be an officially published author!

It's amazing to see how more businesses are realizing the value empowering their staff with presenting skills, because the ability to present your thoughts when it comes to landing ideas and getting results, can be a game changer. 

I’ve been working with teams and individuals for the last 8 years, helping to improve their confidence and impact when they present. There really is nothing more rewarding than receiving an excited phone call from a client after they’ve just nailed a presentation! If anyone in your business needs help to present more powerfully I'd love to help.

Hold the vision, trust the process

  I had an eventful year in 2019 with our son Dominic being born in August and    have found myself immersed in the magic of motherhood. As someone who      spends their life helping businesses and teams set clear and compelling    visions, having a child after many years of trying, has been my own personal success :)      

From having a vision board of a successful pregnancy on all my screensavers, to changing my diet and lifestyle, to calling in the fertility experts - we took relentless action in the direction of our  dream. This year I have discovered more than ever that a vision held  with intention and pursued with passion, can eventually become a reality.

I hope you'll take a moment to review your professional or personal visions and see how you can support yourself or your team to make them a reality.
