First, I have to backtrack- I obviously needed to catch up on the last volume in order to meet the loml, and I have two things to say about it:

It was as icky as I thought it would be 😣

Hayden (your LI of choice) keeping a jar of memories this early in the season was too much🙅🏻‍♀️

Isadora is pretty 😍 I’m a bit surprised she’s not coupled with our OG LI for more drama. But then I guess we wouldn’t have to pay to hear about some other girl grafting him 🤑🙄

Dude, it’s been two years since I joined the fandom! I’m not doing any special giveaways this year, but I decided to celebrate it doing a few things. Tonight, I’m oversharing a little 😅

A Few Details:

I first played Choices back in 2016 (I think TF book 3 was being written at the time) and I uninstalled the app several times until I started to play RoE and TC&TF. But I only searched for Choices fanfiction after TRR3 was released

The first Choices fanfic I've ever read was one of @mrswalkerwrites's Drake fics. I don't know if she is active in the fandom, but I still think her prose is outstanding and her writing inspired me to write my own view of TRR, D&D and PM.

The blog was named Choices By Jade because it was supposed to be Jade's journal in which she'd write all her story. Once I wrote a fic through Liam's POV, I thought writing in third person would be a better approach. After I began to write fanfiction for LITG, I decided to change the url.

Making edits reminds me a lot of playing with dolls when I was a teenager, but I rarely do it because it takes me forever to choose an outfit for the characters, especially if I feel like changing colors of clothes or making body swaps between characters 😄

heavenly fire | noah [litg]

description: sometimes, it felt as if the heavenly fire still burned inside him.

“Everyone, please give a warm welcome to Noah Rushforth!”

Smiling wide, Noah entered the stage, waving to the huge, clapping crowd that had gathered in this university auditorium for him. He would never get used to this, to the crowds, the recognition and the presentations and talks. 

Four years had passed since his time on Love Island, and his life had only gotten better since his departure. He returned home, and the heartbreak he experienced inspired him to finally follow his dream: to write his own novel. It took him two years, but he succeeded, and soon after his dystopian novel,  critiquing love and loss was published, becoming an instant smash hit. Since his success, Noah has lived what most would consider a happy life, yet the golden eyed man had trouble finding true happiness. 

It was ridiculous, really. So much time had passed, and Noah had achieved all his dreams. He had found love again, he had traveled and he had laughed. He should be happy. Yet, happiness always felt within reach but never to be grasped, all because of one woman. He truly couldn't believe himself, as he lay awake at night, whether he was accompanied or alone, thinking of the big, doe coffee eyes that longingly gazed at him under the Spanish moonlight. Of the fire that blazed inside of that one woman, that had completely consumed his body and mind. 

That woman had truly started a heavenly fire in his soul, and Noah’s loss of her heart had left him scorched forevermore. 

Alba.

When he closed his eyes, he could still see her; her gleeful and mischievous brown eyes glinting, the dark waves of her hair blowing softly in the wind and her delicate hand reaching her angelic face to brush the stray strands slowly away. Etched in his brain was her, carved into his brain with a Misericorde blade.

Alba.

He had watched her win Love Island on TV, her joyful smile unforgettable, and use her half of the money to forward her work in rainforest conservation. He had followed her on the news when she fought alongside the Indigenous communities of the Amazon forest and started a political revolution in Brazil. He had heard of the PM nominating her for a Nobel Peace Prize for her work, and she refused to even be considered, redirecting the attentions to the communities she had worked with.

Alba.

He had witnessed her get married, Chelsea to one side and Bobby in front of her, and heard her vows of undying love and commitment. Everyone in the audience had cried, murmuring about true love. Noah had let a tear fall.

Alba.

He had read on the group chat of the Villa Bobby’s announcement of the birth of their son. They named him Jude Irvine. Jude, after the Beatles song. The wind had been knocked out of him, and he wondered despite himself what Alba and him would’ve named their son. He knew. Caleb. She had once told him that was the only name she ever would name her son.

Alba. Alba, Alba. Alba.

His Alba, that was never his.

In another life, Noah would redo everything, every single choice he ever made as soon as he stepped foot in the Villa. He would have been brave, he would’ve been selfish, he would’ve been Alba’s. In another life, he would have been better for her, he would’ve prevented everything that led to him paying the ultimate price: a life full of what ifs.

He had loved before Alba, and loved after her. Yet, there was one universal truth. He was in love with Alba, and he would be for the rest of his life. All he could wish for now is that in the next life, he finds her again.

There was a woman, Professor Adler, waiting for him at the middle of the stage. He shook her hand firmly, and took his seat next to her as the crowd calmed down to let him speak. The conversation flowed, as he answered the more academic and philosophical questions that raised from his work. Eventually, Professor Adler took a deep breath, and stayed silent for a short moment. 

“Tell me, Mr. Rushforth. What truly inspired you to write this novel?”

A knot formed in his stomach and Noah chuckled, taking a deep breath. Something inside him screamed, and almost as in answer to that call, he looked at the crowd, eyes darting left and right, almost as if looking for something. For someone.

And just as had been so many times before, his eyes always found her.

Alba.

In the darkness of the auditorium, his eyes found hers, and he could’ve sworn that a halo illuminated her and her surroundings. She was so tragically beautiful, so hypnotizing. In that very moment, Noah would’ve traded all of his tomorrows just to have one yesterday with her.

In the darkness, she smiled, and God came rushing back.

I’m two volumes behind in litg. Doesn’t sound like I missed much of anything interesting 😭😩

New Litg season, same shit show yet here I am🥴🤷🏾‍♀️🫣

Pros:

1. Enemies to Lovers route:👀 intrigued…

2. Default nemesis seems to be more balanced than before.

3. Solid choices/personalities and routes ( Basic 3 so far but I mean expected. )

Cons:

1. Weird timeline especially regarding the twists (surprise dumping, no coupling yet, )

2. The inevitable merge of li personalities 👀🤷🏾‍♀️

3. Personal con, I can’t decide between Kane and Callum. I love both for different reasons. I had Callum as a front runner it something deep down is saying restart and focus on Kane

P.S. I love the alliteration of my Mc and Kane. Kane and Kahlúa is fucking cute so that’s a big motivator too.

Also I want to say I feel like FB writes solid foundations of Li lately and I really find them memorable and enjoyable it’s just the fact that they become one note and all the same that ruins it. Like I’m already enjoying Kane and Callum for different reasons even if they are a bit regurgitated versions of previous islanders.

I.e Kane is a rehashed version of my baby boy Oakley and James with designs inspo of Theo and Caleb.

Callum is obviously a mix of Jude and Ethan but personality/background is Rocco with dashes of like Evan (just with the passion and charitable bckgrnd. I know most forget about Evan since he’s apart of the most forgettable season imo, S7)

I caught up to now in LITG and why is everyone tripping? The only person who should is Milo. Nyah was being a goddamn Bird and for whatever reason gave Dean’s gross ass some play. When she had the fine ass chocolate drop in the villa. Like GIRL😵‍💫🥴

Ava, girl why are you being messy about Leo. He clearly wants to be in your drawls.

Yash is about to talk himself out Lisbeth for being weirdly petty and purposely obtuse about being “second choice”.

And Caleb, well yes babe I should’ve had this conversation prior that I WILL be cracking on with Ethan but you can’t be shocked. Like Mc didn’t give you no play and barely a kiss during challenges. The kitty wasn’t ever gon be yours. I’m sorry boo.
