Hiii I love your blog! What music do you think Lockwood and Co listens to at Portland Row?

oh my days hello! thank you so much, this is such a good ask! i feel like, if spotify is around during the problem, they have a group spotify account for sure! but i definitely have a lot of thoughts about their personal music tastes :)

lucy is probably a fan of artists like lizzy mcalpine, phoebe bridgers, taylor swift, olivia rodrigo. sweet hibiscus tea (post by my mutual that i adore) is such a lucy song, as well as iris by the goo goo dolls! her favourite taylor swift album is speak now all the way, and maybe midnights too! when she first met holly she made an angry girl feminine rage playlist about her with all sorts of feral taylor/olivia rodrigo music. she's the kind to listen to pop rock music on full volume in her room screaming every word of it and i am so here for it :D

george would listen to conan gray for sure! he also listens to lizzy mcalpine but he's more of a mitski, arctic monkeys, rex orange county type of listener. kid krow is one of his most loved albums, and his favourite taylor swift album is red! i also feel like he would listen to classical music sometimes, especially george cubbins! piano hits the sweet spot, and he plays it in his earphones while he's at the archives on a case / reading comics while curled up with tea. (RAAHHHH i can imagine it so well somebody write a fic)

lockwood definitely bullies george for listening to classical music, but theres a hc floating around tumblr that he plays piano -> he probably plays a few of george's favourite pieces for him! but as for music taste? he listens to taylor swift (for sure). he claims his fav album is reputation but it's actually 1989. he listens to lana del rey and his favourite album is norman f*cking rockwell or ultraviolence, and he probably dabbles around with the weeknd and older drake music! i feel like he also listens to coldplay!! he probably has a subtly named playlist with songs that remind him of lucy (first song on there is lucy lucy by betcha)! during the famous grocery store incident lore, a shitpost involving a lot of locklyle, one of the many hcs is that he played his lucy playlist instead of the group one time and was just like 😳

the skull probably asks lucy to play peaches by jack black just to see lockwood dramatically leap to the piano and sing along "soulfully" to it, saying lucy instead of peach every time LOL (he is belting awfully and hitting all the wrong notes and it is pissing EVERYONE off)

but as for a group playlist, just a blend of all their music tastes really. a lot of taylor swift, and they would listen to the radio often! (english people will know) they listen to radio 1's morning podcast with greg james while doing up breakfast!

idk that image is so nice to me, quiet mornings at 35 portland row with the radio on, humming to a random song. music is literally integral to so many things imo, and i love the idea that l&co play a lot of it! thank you so much for the ask <3

How diid they gst into this mess?

A fight lead by some conflits on opposite yakusas from the past week has lead on the kidnapping of Overhaul's most precious treasure on this earth.

The event has somehow ended up being on the top of some still on construction building, one of the future largest buildings in that entire city for that manner.

He just wasn't having a good evening.

"Ah." The main leader spoke, back towards him and the three man he trusted to hekp him get you back "I see you came then Overhaul. Such an honour." He looked over his shoulder with a smug look. His own subbordinates snickering from where they were.

"Save your fucking words, it means nothing to me. I hope you had a good life befofe regretting to even mess with the Hassaikai." He growled between tedth as he prepared to slip his glove off before the man turned his front to him, shaking his index finger.

"Ah, ah, ah! No need to use that power of yours or any of tge rest of your gang, well... unless of course-!" He smirked at one bald wearing sunglasses guy who had a grin that came from one ear to another...

His arm, that was a freaking tentacle lifted up a bit, showed you, hanging by the ankle of your left leg as you squirmed in fear of falling from that place.

"(Y/n)!" He shouted, extending one hand of his before retreating when your captor treatened to drop you, make you scream at the action... Chrono and Mimic had to hold back Chisaki if they didn't want a pancake of you or Overhaul losing his shit.

"So is true?!" The leader laughed before looking between you and Kai "Overhaul has someone?! Oh what a glorious day! Wr should celebrate even, am I right boys?!" The whole group laughed as Kai gritted his teeth under his plague mask, some hives threatening to show up due to how angry and nervous he was.

"The hell you want pUNK?!" Mimic yelled as the man chucklex darkly and paced around for a bit at the top of the building they were currently at.

"Well, I do know of this new "product" of yours. Is a very well selled bullet on the underground, and I think I might even take some advanteges of it." He stopped, crossing his arms behind his back with another laugh of his, extending one of his hands, shooking one finger at Kai "You're pretty good at what you do my pal!"

"Spill it out." Overhaul growled as hos rival smirked, giving a sigmal to your captor to hold you up even higher as he made gis point very clear.

"Give me the antiquirk bullets formula and Shie Hassaikai's leadership unless you want to see your little angel crash into a pile of concrete on the floor." He widened his eyes as Mimic shriked, pointing at finger at him.

"ThE fuCK YA ThiNk yoU Are BasTARD?!"

"Overhaul, we can't." Chrono murmured as he fell his body start to tremble.

"You have thirty seconds mister boss." The man snapped hsi fingers, and the guy with a tentacle holding you hostage was starting to loose his grip on your ankle.

His eyes widened in horror as he slowly lifted his hands up enough to shown his rival he wasn't planning to use his quirk neither attack.

"Have anything. Just don't hurt my partner." He spoke through teeth with furrowed eyebrows as Chrono and mimic widened their eyes at their boss.

"No! Kai!" You shouted as the main leader laughed, as if you had spoken a hilarious joke...

He frowned at yojr words before widening even more hsi arms when you showed a hidden knife on your hip that miraculously didn't fell.

"Kai? Is that his name?! Oh so romantic. But enough with that!" He shouted witha sick look at Chisaki, who gave a silently signal for Chrono, Mimic, Rappa and Tengai to get ready to fight "With the power of the bullets and the status of the Hassaikai I can take over the whole Japan in less than two months! Ohoho! Is not even close to dinner time yet, it is indeed a beautiful day." He smirked at his companions as you gave Kai a worried yet determined look.

You snatched the knife from your hip and stabbed your captor, making him let go of you as well curse out loud in pain as you luckily held on to one of the ropes of a crane that was in front of the building.

"ATTACK!" Kai shouted as he finally used his quirk and his subbordinates did as they told.

In the middle of the fighting, the leader scoffed before smilling maniacly as he saw you getting your balance back, using his quirk of metal manipulation he was ready to make that crane kill you.

That was his intention if it wasn't for Kai coming with a heavy punch on his jaw.

"(Y/N)!" He shouted as you screamed, holding for your life at the metal bar wuth your legs swing on the air "Hold still!" He shouted before he cursed when something sharp enough cut what was holding his mask on his face and cheek, he looked up in guard to see his rival yelling and knocking him on the ground.

"You think you're powerfull HUH?! Just so FUCKING full of yourself!" He smiled sadically as he pressed further more the bar of metal on Chisaki's throat. For some odd reason he wasn't able to use to his quirk on that damn bar neither reach for the fucker. "is no use kai! WITH ME USING MY QUIRK, YOUR CONTROL OVER THIS BAR IS EQUAL TO NOTHING!" he laughed as he narrowed his eyes before managing to overpower his strenght to snatch the bar of metal put of their grasp as he choked with one hand his enemy.

"Gove me one fucking reason to let you live now your damn pest." He hissed as the guy laughed brethless, slowly lifting one of his finger up towards you

"Because I am the only one that is controlling your little plaything's life!" He said in a breathy and pysochotic tone before snapping his fingers, he widened his eyes at that and immediately looked at your direction. The crame suddenly started to move and you weren't able to hold much longer.

You looked at Chizaki with teary and desperate eyes before shouting his names as your safe bar contorned, makung you fall.

"NO!" He shouted, all of the enemies down as the time seemes to go slower. His subbordinates tried to stop them... but his body seemed to move on his own as he jumped from the building.

Extending his arms and shouting your name, he saw the look you gave him. frightened by her life and his, which in less than seconds could end in a terrible death in this fall, making a little more effort, except for one arm he managed to take her hand and pull it to his chest.

"KAI WHAT DID YOU DO ?!" you cried, gripping on his clothing while he and you were getting closer to the floor. By the speed, his mask completely loosened and leaved his face, showing you that he was also seeing death coming closer and closed by any minute or second.

Seing him moving his eyes as if he was calculating someyhing he craddled you to his chest.

"Trust me." He said suddenly.

"WE ARE CLOSE TO DYING WHY ON HELL DID YOU JUMPED ALONG?!" Your tears flew from your face as you looked at him. His golden eyes that were once wide turned back as he frowned.

"If you're going to die by me, then the least i could do is be with you my dear." You sobbed as he screatched his arm next to the parts of the building that were already done with the concrete and glasses for the windows.

Accspting your fate you just burried your face in Kai's neck as you heard him counting numbers.

One finger, he just need one damn fi ger to touch that place on less than 40 seconds-!

"39, 38, 37-!" He tried many times but he was mere inches away from touching that damn construction!

"27, 26, 25, 24, 23-!" He heard your sobbing how much you loved him, wetning all of his shirt aa he cursed between couting, franquily trying to brush one of gis fingers on the building.

"13 fUCK-!" He finally managed to brush his middle finger on the concrete, shouting a "YES!" in glory as he embraced you closer, creating some type of slide to prevent you guys from falling.

Your screams didn't vanished as he used gis quirk, he only tightened gsi grip to manage to put you two safe on the ground... and he was relieved after who knows how long finally.

You peeked and gasped at seing you were still alive and still on your boyfriend's arms as you and him tried to catch your breaths.

He cupped your cheek, making you look up at him and it shockedd you enough to see that he also had one or two tears on his terrified golden eyes.

He breathed out your name before you succumbed to relieved crying as he crushed you in a tight embrace that you most gladly retribuited becofe he pushed your face away amd kissed you.

His lips crashed on yours as it grew wet by yours or his tears. Every time you paused a bit to breath, it didn't even lasted one second before yoh two were at each other again. Chisaki claimed your mouth and needed to feel everything about you.

A shout from beneath you two made you guys finally stop and look upward to see the mans looking down worried at you both.

"ARE YOU TWO OKAY?!" Chrono shouted at the top of his lungs as you simply gave him a thumbs up, not mindfull that the man couldn't see it or not as Kai chuckled at your reaction before peppering your face and lips with mofe kisses than you ever could hope for.

"I thought I lost you dammit.." he breathed out befofe letting a soft chuckle escape his lips as he craddled you in his arms and lifted you both up, not willing to let go of you anytime soon.

"Me too." You nuzzled onto him, not willing to let go of the safety feeling only Chisaki could provide "I was so scared." You whimpered as tears threatenes to spill befofe Kai wiped them away, touching forehead with you.

"... me as well." He breathed out befofe his look turned dark. You went to question it befofe he looked up and made you crouch down on the ground as well with him "Hold onto me."

One simpel command and you took it without questions, Wrapping your arms around his neck as he slammed his palm on the ground, creating a huge plataform to make you two get up on that building.

Right on top, you let go of his neck and somehow manage to fall on his arms in bridal style as he jumped from the made up plataform to tge building.

"You fuckers still fucking alive???!!" Rappa shouted as the guys surrounded both of you as Kai slowly and gently put yoh to the ground, holding onto you in your waist still as you hugged him.

"Thank godness..." Tengai sighed in relief before all of them grabbed their guns, excluding you and Kai and Rappa, because he fight with his fists duh, as the main leader got shkly up before being beated not only by Chisaki but by the others as well.

Immediately darknening his amber eyes, he went for him before your gentle hand on his chest made him stop before yourself got to him and kicked him... on his lowest areas.

All the man hissed in pain, yes, even Kai, as the guy fell on the ground hissing on pain before Chisaki put a hand on your shoulder and looking down at the leader.

"What now...? Going to kill me?" Even beaten up, the guy still had that cocky attitude.

"No. Much worse." Chisaki growled before tje poor soul's vision saw the last Overhaul's hand blocking their view before everything turned dark.

You sipped on your cocoa as Kai sitted besides you with a sigh.

"Long day?"

"Experiments and all that shit." He allowed himself to curse one time, hearing you giggle besides him and letting your drink down on the coffee table to snuggle up to him.

Lifting his arm awkwardly on the air he arched one eyebrow at you as you almost purred in delight.

"Do I make a good pillow now?" He asked sarcastically before slowly lowering his arm to bring you closer despite his harsh and cold tone of voice.

"The best..." you murmured, sleep taling over you as he pondered over his plan again, seing you were distracted "Kai?"

"What?"

"Why were you willing to kill yourself along with me that day? Crazy man." You giggled as he furrowed his eyebrow, rememberihg the events as he craddled you on his arms, resting his cjin on the top of your head with a sigh.

"Because... I-" He arched one eyebrow at hearing your snore, getting a glimpse of your face befofe chuckling aoftly, brushing one strand of your hair out of your face before lowering his black casual mask to peck your lips.

"Soon, we will be on a safer and cleaner world angel... I promise you. And I will never let go of you, my dear. Ever."

The Greatest Blessing

Hi, I am Mark Anthony T. Adlaon, my friends call me 'Ton'. My fraternal twin brother Mark Angelo and I were delivered on December 22, 2000, at Quezon City - which is also the place that we were raised. I am an eighteen-year-old visual storyteller for I am into photography and skillful in utilizing cameras. I finished my secondary school at Dr. Carlos S. Lanting College with honors. Back when I was in elementary, I was a special science class student at the GSIS Village Elementary School. Now, I am currently studying at the National Teachers College taking up a degree of Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Social Studies and is also a student assistant in their human resource department. I strive hard in my academics. Each every one of us has our own different version of our stories on how we achieve victory. It was in the year 2016 that my story of victory transpired: God saved my mom from an ovarian illness.

           It was a prosperous new year for our family. My dad, uncle, and grandpa were outside our house drinking alcohol, while my mom, aunt and grandma were having a conversation in the living room. My cousins whom I didn’t see for a long time, went to our home as well. The people around us seemed so happy, I can hear the loud music from our neighborhood. The cold wind feels so good. I can clearly see that everybody misses each other because of the laughter. There was also food that my mother prepared, there was lumpiang shanghai, fruit salad, rice cake, carbonara, ham, barbecue, menudo and friend chicken. My mom and dad prepared for this day to come, because they knew that there will be a lot of visitors coming. I smiled as I looked to my family. I enjoyed every moment that my family and I shared together during the night. I even prayed for the continuous happiness. I wish that what happened that night will bring joy and luck to our family. I thought everything will be okay. Until, my mom discovered last January 2016 that she has ovarian cyst.

         January 2016. My father just came home from work. My mother on the other hand was preparing food for our dinner when she held onto her tummy. We all looked at her, and asked her to sit down for a while. My mom complained about her menstruation. “These past few weeks, my monthly period wasn’t normal. Sometimes when I pee there’s blood in my urine. There are also times that the side of my tummy aches. That’s when I’m alone.” She told us. We were so worried because I can just recall few times that my mom gets sick.  I felt afraid. I don’t want to lose my mom. We advised her to see an ob-gyne immediately, in order for us to know what causes her pain. She went to Dr. Manansala at FEU-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, she went to see the same doctor hat gave birth to us. They ran some tests, Ultrasound, ECG, SGPT. After a week, the results were out, Dr. Manansala said that my mom had ovarian cyst and it need to removed her ovary immediately, in order to avoid of affection on her other organs. They informed my mom that the operation will costs 50,000-60,000 pesos. My father asked help to my aunt and uncle, which they did immediately. With the help of our relatives, the money needed for the operation was completed. My mother and father went to the hospital regularly for check-ups needed before the operation.

          It was Friday night, me and my twin were walking on the way home, when I suddenly felt a strange feeling like there was something bad happening. We walked fastly so we can reach our home immediately. I felt uneasy. When we were close to our home, we heard a commotion from our neighborhood. I was really nervous and thought of my mom. I prayed to God “Lord please not now.” Gie and I looked at each other and ran. We saw our uncle packing things for my mom. The doctor didn’t allow my mom to go home because she was getting weak. Days have passed and mom wasn’t still home. The house was so quiet and sad. We would do things on our own like preparing for food because our mom wasn’t around. We don’t have a mom to depend on, a mom that will care for us. By that time I realized that we need to treasure every moment being with the people you love because you wouldn’t know what will happen the next day. We need to show our love while they are still with us.

          It was Sunday when they allowed us to visit our mother. It wasn’t easy entering the hospital as they have a policy of “one visitor at a time.” Aunt Bebing helped us to go in our mother’s room. She asked favor at the nurse in the lobby. While we were in the elevator, I can’t help but to shed a tear. I missed her. I missed her rants. I missed saying “Where’s nanay?” whenever I got home. I missed the way she cares for us. Mom was always beside me. She always prepares and provide what we need. She knows what will make me feel calm. I missed here sweet chicken adobo. I can’t imagine life without her. Before we enter her room, I excused myself to the comfort room so I can fix myself. So, she won’t notice my sadness. We brought her We brought her a basket of fruits and her favorite chosuey. I saw her lying in her bed and looking at us like she was expecting us.

         When I saw her, I flashed my sweetest smile. I hugged and kissed her. I also told stories about how was school, like we used to. I told my rants about school. I told about how was the house without her. I can see in her eyes that she already missed us. We ate, talked and laugh together. When the time came that we need to go home, I can’t hold back my tears again because I won’t be able to be with my mom whom I considered as my best friend.

          Before we went home, we passed by the Good Shepherd Cathedral, near the hospital and prayed to God to give my mother a guidance and guide the people that will do her operation. I was so scared that time. Negative thoughts were clouding my mind. Suddenly, a nun came near us and said “You will surpass all your problems. Just talk to him and he will provide.” Then she handed me a paper. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. " - Jeremiah 29:11. That time I felt goosebumps, I felt the presence of almighty God.

          Wednesday, the following week, my mom undergone a surgery. It started at 10 PM. That night I couldn’t sleep, all of us couldn’t sleep. I was praying so hard to God to save my mom. It was around 1 AM when we got a call from grandma and dad telling us that the operation was a success. We felt relieve. The negative thoughts in my mind vanished. I thanked God for saving my mom. Dr. Manansala told us that the cyst was not malignant, therefore it is not cancerous.

         February 12, when my mom got discharged from the hospital. They rode a taxi to our home. That tine we were about to leave the house to school. Mom wearing her bestida and I can see in her eyes that she was happy because after almost 1 month of her struggle, finally we surpass it. The doctor gave her prescriptions for her hormones. For me that was the greatest gift that we received, yet the most challenging one. As J.K. Rowiling puts it, “We are strong as united, as weak as divided.” A problem will be solved as long as you will stick together in fighting it.

Chapter 1: Mystery of the Half Demon (Disclaimer! I own nothing of Nintendo or Inuyasha except for the original characters!)

 (A year after the events of The First Peacekeeper, a new government decides that enough is enough. Their leader creates a new law that super powered half humans, will no longer continue acts of heroism and will only act when called on. This rule divides the team of heroes right down the middle. Meanwhile Nicholas meets a new friend who happens to be a half demon, and wants to do what he can to help her, even if it means he has to turn against his own friends. Who's side are you on? Read and decide!) I was doing my usual laps around the Seattle square to warm up. I do this every day to lose weight because I feel like I’m getting fat. Someone was running right by me and got past me. “On your left,” she said. It was Colleen. I made it to a library and Colleen was there as well. “On your left,” she said. “Yeah,” I said, “Got it, on my left.” She came near me again. “Don’t say it,” I said, “Don’t you say it….” “On your left,” she said. “Come on!!” I said. I was getting tired and decided to rest. “Break time,” I said. Colleen stopped where I was. “I see you’ve been overworking yourself again,” she said as she giggled. She layed by me. “Its been years since we got to hang out ever since… you know,” she said. “I know right,” I said, “But duty calls and we gotta do what we gotta do.” “Good point,” said Colleen. I was thinking about all the memories I had with my friends. “So what do you do for a living?” she asked. “I decided to go into the bounty hunter business,” I said, “I hunt down criminals and sometimes fight them for money.” “I actually ran into one during one of our missions,” she said. “That so?” I asked. “Her name’s Samus Aran,” said Colleen, “And she is no joke when it comes to bounty hunters.” “Well hopefully I don’t run into her,” I said jokingly as she laughed. “Thank God for you Colleen,” I said, “You’re the only family I have left.” “No problem,” said Colleen, “Someone had to stay with you.” I got a message from Luna. “Mission alert. Meet at GSI to discuss.” “Well, duty calls,” I said, “Looks like they might have finally found the guy I was looking for.” “Good luck with that,” said Colleen, “I still gotta do some more laps.” I ran off to GSI to discuss with Luna. “So it looks like those punks are hiding in this location,” said Luna, “If we send you down there to interrogate them we might be able to find Monty Mole.” “So what gear do I have?” I asked, “You’re always making new stuff.” “Glad you asked, you’re gonna love this,” said Luna. She gave me some kind of thing. “What’s this?” I asked. “See those red buttons?” asked Luna, “Press them.” I did what she asked and suddenly two blades came out of them. “Radical!” I said. “It’s a double bladed beam sword,” said Luna, “One of a kind.” “So when do we start?” I asked. Later I was on a plane heading to their hideout. I said. I transformed into Power Man and grabbed my beam sword. “How’s it looking?” I asked. “The thermal scans are showing hostiles on the third floor,” said Luna, “There’s a lot of them, so why don’t I drop you off down a floor?” “Ah, the element of surprise,” I said, “Good Idea.” The plane came close to the floor and u jumped through the window. It was the Spiny Shell gang lead by the infamous Monty Mole. “Alright boys, its time we put an end to Power Man once and for all,” said Monty, “You are equipped with the greatest weapons we’ve got. Your task; use them to waste him.” I was down at the bottom floor. I attached a bob-omb to the ceiling. It ticked down and exploded and I jumped into the fray. “Its Power Man!” said Monty Mole, “Waste him!” They tried shooting me but the armor was too strong for the bullets to impact. “Now that’s rude,” I said. They sprang at me and I started fighting them. I may have gotten old but I still got it. Hell I’m still 23 years old. “Get the beam swords!” said Monty. I got out my beam sword as well and fought them. I remembered the techniques Link gave me about the sword and used them to my advantage. Soon most of them were stunned. “Stand back men, I’ll deal with this boy myself,” said Monty, “I’ve studied the art of swordplay.” “Bring it on old man,” I said, “My blade has double the blade as yours.” “Bullshit,” said Monty. A beam appeared on the other side of my sword. “No shit!” I said. We clashed at each other and engaged in combat.  He used all his techniques he learned to block each move. He kicked me and I fell but quickly got back up. I spun my sword around and hit him with the metal part of my blade. He managed to stab my metal arm and I screamed in pain. I jumped up and attacked and he blocked it again. Someone shot a stun shot at Monty Mole and he fell to the ground. “What the….” I said. It was Samus Aran, another bounty hunter. “You’re welcome,” she said. “I had that covered,” I said. “Yeah I know but, the hell you did,” said Samus, “Looks like your job’s taken care of.” She gave me some of the sharing’s of the money. “Your days are coming to an end,” said Monty Mole, “The half-demon will rise and destroy you.” “Who is this half demon?” I asked. “No one knows,” he said, “All I know is that your days on this world are numbered when he finds you.” “Not this time,” I said. “Come on Nick, let’s go,” said Luna. “I’m getting slow at my age,” I said, “But at least my arm’s doing ok.” “You’re lucky it didn’t break otherwise I’d kill you,” said Luna. “Yeah, yeah,” I said. As I powered down I saw Colleen. “You’re lucky I recognized you,” she said, “Looks like the jobs already done.” “Yeah, sorry you missed the ass-kicking,” I said as I laughed. Later we were at the convenience store buying some things. I saw the girl again at the stand. She had a black jacket and purple t-shirt, and long purple and red hair and freckles. When she wasn’t looking I managed to get a picture of her. “Gosh she’s cute,” I said, “Luckily I got this picture without anyone looking.” “You do know I’m right by you right?” asked Colleen. I looked and freaked out. “What the hell?!” I said. She laughed and said, “Sorry I had to do that. So who’s that?” “This girl I saw,” I said. She grinned at me. “What?” I asked. “You like her don’t you Nicholas?” she asked as we left. “Yes,” I said giving in. “Like a fish caught in the mouth I figured you out,” she said poking my forehead. “That obvious huh?” I asked. “I’ve watched anime,” said Colleen, “I know how things work when someone takes a secret picture.” “Please don’t mention this to anyone,” I said. Who was I kidding? I was the only guy in Seattle, and all my friends moved out. Colleen was the only one who stayed with me. Luna was walking around town when she heard punching noises. The Biggest Celebrity Stories to Come out of Coachella

While “Beyoncé gives birth to twins onstage at Coachella” would have a been a helluva headline, that ain’t happening now that she’s bailed. However, the music festival held in Indio, Calif., which is overrun with celebrities (and celebuspawns!), will go on. In fact, the stars are already descending on the desert — via private plane, of course — to get the party started.

Because it’s a popular event for the Hollywood crowd, it’s also been the backdrop for some good gossip through the years. Think: drug drama, hot hookups, and — gasp — dad dancing. We look back at some of the most memorable celebrity-related headlines here…

Vanessa Hudgens and White Chocolate-Gate

The Disney Channel alum has become one of the faces of the fest through the years. In 2011, the queen of hippy chic found herself in a scandal when she was photographed sampling a “strange white substance” from a “zippered pouch” as she soaked up the Cali sun. Bloggers went wild speculating what it was — ranging from cocaine to Fun Dip — and her publicist actually issued a formal denial that the High School Musical star wasn’t using drugs, claiming she was licking “white chocolate” instead. Perfectly logical, right?

Much like her nude photo scandal, ole white chocolate-gate has followed the actress for years. She was asked about it in 2013 in a Marie Claire profile and said, “I couldn’t do anything but laugh. It’s amazing how people like to create something out of absolutely nothing.”

Rihanna, the Great and Powderful

Rihanna’s love of the ganja is well-known and there were many photos like this of her in 2012.

However, one of the photos she posted herself showed her sitting on her bodyguard’s shoulders as she poured a white substance on his head. Commenters speculated that she “rolled a blunt on that dude’s head,” but others suggested it was cocaine. In this case, there was no publicist trying to suggest it was chocolate and she later told Vogue that year people should have known it was marijuana. “I don’t do cocaine,” she said.

Three years later though she found herself in a similar position at a Coachella party. Video footage showed her sitting at a table fiddling with something and then rubbing her nose. That time, the Barbadian beauty took to Instagram to rant, “Any fool could see that’s a joint that I’m basing with cigarette. Who tF snorts tobacco??!! FOH witcho ‘never been to a rodeo so someone squeezing their nose means they’re doing coke’ lookin a**!!” OK then.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Dancing King of the World

Not all the stories are drug-related. Remember when Leo danced like this in 2014? It remains one of our favorite thing on the Interwebs.

Speaking of Leo, he also made headlines last year there when he met up with Rihanna (when they were romantically linked) at the Neon Carnival. Whatever may have been happening soon fizzled though. After all, he’s a tried and true modelizer and has been dating Nina Agdal since last year.

Robert Pattinson: The Dad Dancer

The world also had a chuckle over RPattz’s dance moves in 2015. What lit the Twilight alum’s fire that night, alongside FKA twigs, was a Drake performance.

But, hey, at least he was having fun. A few years earlier, in 2013, he was there with then-girlfriend Kristen Stewart. Interest in them was at record levels (the cheating scandal was the year before) and it seemed like every photo of them was overanalyzed by Twi-hards and us. Justin Bieber Gets Bounced

The Biebs really wanted to dad dance himself at the Drake show in 2015. But when he arrived with his entourage, the venue was at capacity and they weren’t allowed in. Needless to say, that didn’t sit well with the shirtless selfie lover. Security was called and he was put into a chokehold before they were tossed from the event. Bieber threatened legal action against the security guards. No word on how that is going (but we can only guess nowhere).

Gerard Butler Did What in the Porta-Pot?

The Scottish actor was fresh outta rehab in 2012 when he went to the fest, which is definitely a temptation tester. While he reportedly stuck to his sobriety pact, he couldn’t resist the ladies. According to Page Six, he was dancing all up on one brunette (not necessarily the one below) during a show before they headed out to a porta-potty together to … draw your own conclusion.

The Time Lindsay Lohan Planned Rehab Around Coachella

LiLo has done so many rehab stints that they blend together a bit, but in 2013, she was facing a court-ordered, 90-day stint. Because she was such a royal mess, she planned it around going to Coachella because she couldn’t miss the big party. So that year there was a big focus on whether or not she would stay sober there — or do something Lindsay-level stupid. She even had her people deny that she was drinking and drugging there. As for that stint in rehab — number six — she ultimately completed it, no doubt going in kicking and screaming.

A Disney Kid Gets Arrested

This sad face belongs to Disney XD’s Lab Rats actress Kelli Berglund, who was arrested at Coachella last year. The brunette, who was busted for using a fake ID, brought the tears for her mug shot. All that said, it didn’t derail her weekend. After she was cited and released, she continued to enjoy herself at the fest — and document it all on social media. Good news for her if she goes back this year? She’s 21. Party on.

Aaron Paul Meets His Future Bride

As the story goes… Boy met girl at Coachella. Girl was involved with someone else. Boy vowed to get girl to fall in love with them. The next year, Boy and then-single girl shared their first kiss on the Coachella ferris wheel.

The Path actor and the Kind Campaign co-founder have been married since 2013 and are now talking babies. The music loving pair also regularly hosts jam sessions with emerging artists at their home. What do they call it? Paulchella.

What will happen this year at Coachella that will be added to the list? Time will tell. Coachella, with Lady Gaga stepping in for headliner Bey, kicks off today and runs through Sunday, and they’ll be doing it all again next weekend.
