So as for now, they are good with Wukong being the little spoon. Both bc Wukong is the the one who constantly craves for touch amd bc Macaque feels more comfortable in a position of "control" let's say. He can decide how much closer or not to get to Wukong.

Then in the future they would be more comfortable to switch (and the bicker about who should be the big or small)

He is opening the door for Mac to come closer, so that it's his choice how much he can get closer. The last thing Wukong wants is to rush things or do something that would make him more uncomfortable.

hi listen i just had a divine intervention or smth lmk if you don't like it but

what if your team Ro time travel au + my time travel Tobirama

Team Ro would have memories of the canon and they got to this different timeline and there's Tobirama actively trying to seduce Uchiha fucking Madara. They didn't teach THAT in the Academy

They got in the time when Tobirama still orchestrated meetings, but Butsuma is already dead so if everything goes well, Tobirama would get Madara and peace soon.

And then there suddenly spawn a Hatake with a sharingan with 2 Uchiha kids and a Mokuton user. Political nightmare.

Later Tobirama recognises Kakashi and was like "The fuck? It's that Hatake from the war. What is he doing there, he should not have been born yet!!"

OHHH THATS SO GOOD THO???

I'm gonna be real I love the concept of "team ro time travel au but they time travel into someone else's time travel au," that's so good

If we go with your au, there's a really interesting immediate aspect of like: hey ! Tobirama might recognize Kakashi or maybe even Tenzo from the war, but these guys are way fucking younger than when they met !!!

Idk what exactly can be done with that but it's interesting to consider. Also Tobirama talked ab Itachi and his crimes before I'm p sure? So like he knows what happens to the Uchiha and that it was Itachi who did it for the village. I wanna see him faced w the kid who he once praised for slaughtering his own clan to prove his loyalty.

I wanna see him feel the consequences of the stress Itachi is under when he (and possibly Shisui) attempt to kill Madara.

Stop interfering with his fix it fic you brats!! He's already got it covered!! You're just causing a mess!!!!

They get zapped in, like, in the middle of Tobirama's happy ending epilogue too. Tobirama is peacefully eating dinner in his house w his new husband Madara thinking "well. Alls well that ends well." Then BOOM Kakashi Shisui Itachi and Tenzo crash out of fucking nowhere directly onto their table, getting covered in food and breaking the table in half

Immediatley arrested !! I feel like Tobirama would instantly understand what happened by recognizing their uniforms + potentially Kakashi + he's already a time traveler himself so it's really no stretch for him to go "oh fuck I didn't think we'd get a double jepordy in this bitch but I guess not"

But like it's not like he can just SAY that ? Or he could but it would bring a lot of questions he probably does not want to answer.

Now another problem arises in like. I don't think Tobirama is especially attached to any of these guys. I can see him maybe having a lingering "pay it forward ig" feeling just bc they're "loyal konoha soldiers" and it'd be a waste to let that resource just burn. But also like. Under no circumstances can Tobirama have these guys share certain aspects of future knowledge.

Tobirama worked so hard to get here !!!! Literal years of planning !!!! He got his happy ending and it very much rests on Madara staying safe and sane and NO ONE IMPLYING HE WILL BETRAY KONOHA EVER !!!!! Tobirama does not even wanna RISK that becoming a rumor, he will take no chances.

Anyways I think his best course of action would be to reveal himself as a time traveler specifically to team ro, then position himself as their hokage who they should remain loyal to, say that it is for Konoha's best interests that they do not reveal certain things, and play it by ear from there.

Tobirama deciding he can't risk team ro going forward in time again and potentially fucking up the time stream or smthn. They need to stay here. He can not risk losing this shit. Sorry guys it looks like your trapped here <3

Anyways team ro being scary loyal to him bc he is the closest approximation to their (current?) Hokage and only person w the knowledge to enforce that power over them (at this time)

In my original post, like, all of team ro are already established to be kind of at their worst and most loyal to the village at that point to. They are at THE age(s) to be manipulated like that tbh, rip

It's not too bad tho. I think Itachi would feel relieved but also very guilty. Shisui too. Tenzo is violently neutral bc hes still in his "learning to be a real boy" phase from root, but it's all positive for him tbh. Kakashi is tricky bc his mental state is the equivalent of someone rapidly bouncing a ball on a thin pane of glass trying to prove it's bullet proof (it's not) and has like MOUNTAINS of complexes around the words "konoha authority figure" and what he's leaving behind. He's probably the most determined to go back

Anyways uhh. Izuna gets Itachi to help him be skeptical of Tobirama and spy on him. Itachi only agrees bc he violently reminds him of Sasuke (this will develop into a complex if not stopped. Shisui is working on it.)

Oh my god I woke up this morning and my Stardew Valley meta post had almost 150 notes????? Hello?????????? Anyways I started writing this last night because @moon-is-pretty-tonight left nice tags on the original so thank you so much!!

We know from the starting scenes of the game that the farmer's grandfather loved Stardew Valley. So why did he leave? Pelican Town is a good place to grow old; George and Evelyn are just fine. It's a fine place to raise a kid, but maybe he just wanted to raise his child closer to real schools and other children.

Or maybe, just maybe, he understood.

Was there a day when he was in his thirties where he looked at his friends and realized they weren't like him? That he could run faster than them, work longer, explore deeper into the hidden places of the valley?

Was there a day when he went to the wizard to ask him for help, for knowledge if nothing else? Did he learn then that his family was different? Special? Chosen? And how did he react? He couldn't possibly raise a child in the valley if they would be as strange and fey as him. He had to leave. There was no other way.

But years later, on his deathbed, did he regret that choice?

Is that why he gave the farmer the letter?

Is that why they went back home?

When the farmer steps off the bus that first day, the valley is still on the cusp of winter, just barely tipping over into spring. The flowers are starting to bloom, but a chill still hangs in the air. As soon as the farmer's boots touch the soil there's a change. The air gets warmer. The trees get greener. Not by too much, not all at once, but it changes.

The junimos watch the farmer as they do their work. They're new to farming, but take to it with frightening speed; their first batch of crops is perfect. None of the townsfolk tell them that parsnips don't normally grow in less than a week, that cauliflowers don't grow to be ten feet tall, that fairies don't visit when the sun goes down and grow potatoes and beans and tulips overnight. The junimos talk amongst themselves in their strange, wild language, and agree: this is the one. They're back. The valley recognizes its own, even when they've left for a generation. The farmers have come home.

Things change fast in the valley. The community center, empty and decrepit for so many years, is rejuvenated. (Lewis says it was abandoned only a few weeks after the farmer's grandfather left. Strange coincidence, he says, that it both came and went with the farmer's family.) The mines and the quarry, similarly abandoned, are explored for the first time in ages. The town becomes cleaner, brighter, more vibrant, happier.

And it is happier. Not just the environment, but the people. It's the talk of the town for weeks when Haley does her first closet purge. Leah's art show in the town square is a huge success. Shane's smiling for the first time since he moved to the valley. All of them, when asked, say it's all thanks to the farmer.

People love to ask why Lewis didn't fix the community center on his own. Why Willy never repaired the boat to ginger island. Why Abigail or Marlon never went down to fix the elevator in the mines, or why Clint didn't fix the minecarts.

But isn't it so much more interesting to ask how those things were there in the first place? How they got so broken down? If the stories the townspeople tell are true, the valley was once a beautiful place, flourishing and full of life; why did that change? When did it change?

Was it when the farmer's grandfather, the locus of the valley, its chosen representative, left town?

And if so, what happens when the farmer comes back?

in which alex gets his hands on henry’s hair for a change. post-canon, brownstone era. rated e. ~3k.

Alex tilts his head back into his pillow, taking in the view—Henry, all smooth, bare shoulders and skin, his hair adorably sleep-mussed. The morning sun strikes gold where the strands stick up at odd angles, and yeah, Alex can’t wait to get his hands on that.

He actually groans a little, the sound coming out half-strangled.

Henry pauses, looking down. “What?” His mouth is red, lips slightly parted. It is, frankly, one of the more obscene things Alex has ever laid eyes on.

“Just get back here,” he says, half-rising, half-tugging Henry down with a hand on his nape, his fingers threading through his hair. It’s soft as fuck, and fuck does he love him, the way his mouth opens on a small gasp as Alex gives his hair a tug, fingers grazing his scalp.

“You like that, huh,” breathes Alex, taking Henry’s upper lip between his teeth before soothing his tongue over the bite.

“Mm. As much as you?” asks Henry, lifting his gaze long enough to let his smirk to sink in, spreading heat through what feels like Alex’s entire fucking bloodstream. “Debatable.”

in conclusion im enjoying myself mightily. it’s so silly but it’s got so much heart to it. also shen wei has a pair of the most expressive eyes ive ever seen. good for him bad for future me i guess. will continue to watch apace

rules: List five things you never get tired of writing. It can be tropes, themes, characters, phrases, whatever brings you joy. Then tag five people!

(1) Canon Compliant: I write a lot of fanfic about miscellaneous scenes that capture my attention -- moments where I think there's a lot going on behind a character's reactions, or where I can visualize the connective tissue between events so clearly that I want to retell them with the prettiest words I can.

(2) Emotional repression: I've discovered my favorite narrators are those with a slightly unreliable POV -- not because they're intentionally lying, but because they're not being honest with themselves about their emotions. So, Arthur Pendragon telling himself Merlin is just a servant because he doesn't want to admit he's in love, or my D&D character Basil understating things as part of his characteristic dry humor.

(3) Physical description of emotions: I'm not the only person who does this, of course, but I feel my own emotions so intensely that I like to describe them that way in my writing. Fear tightening its claws around someone's windpipe, or adrenaline sparking down their arms. Several of the fic writers I admire the most do this too, like @queerofthedagger and @the-pen-pot!

(4) Introspection: For the characters that aren't repressing their emotions like crazy, I like to get deep into their heads!! It can be a challenge to include all those thoughts and still keep the story moving, though.

(5) Easter eggs: I love throwing in tiny phrases and lines that reference other stuff, whether that's canon dialogue, an appropriate song lyric, or a specific line from a published book. I usually credit them in the notes at the bottom of the page, of course.

First ship (ever): lol... kyo/yuki from fruits basket or sasunaru. i was nine.

Three ships (+ a bonus):

1. maul/din. i’ve talked about it all over my blog, but tbh if you’re looking for a sales pitch, check out @panthermouthh​’s Sith Apprentice Grogu AU. it’s excellent, and is re-stoking my maul/Din flames. also, their ship name would be maulin, which is just... so appropriate for them.

2. din/arthurian romance. i discussed as much here, but it’s hard for me to get on board with popular din ships because i don’t like how they treat his religion or culture. my man needs the slowest burn on the planet, with someone who respects his religion and Creed, while also being competent in their area of strength. so... din/rex, din/cobb, din/padme or din/meera, maybe. hell, under the right circumstances, even maul/din could apply. i used to like dinluke but the fanon portrayal irks me so i’ve moved away from it.

3. platonic or romantic maulsoka. i think they’re interesting, they both have a lot to learn from each other, and they both understand the importance of choice because of their background. i don’t enjoy when ahsoka is written like a diet nightsister for this ship, however, so i haven’t read much of this ship. but conceptually, i’m into it.

4. anakin/din.  for a ship born out of two (2) silly time-travel/AU fics of mine, this one really grew on me. here’s my explanation of why they do (and don’t) work as a ship.  here’s a link to all the anadin content.
