[Magi reread] Night 28: The Fanalis Warrior Clan

Can't believe that out of all the possibilites, this is the bit we've got the backstory for in SnB.

Seeing this guy I'm reminded that he & his bros later open a casino in Reim & help Alibaba out just like that. I mean, I know they appear in the Balbadd Arc, too, & joing the Fog Troupe, but I actually don't remember if there's a specific reason or if they decided Alibaba was neat & they're gonna help him out. Anyway.

Ok, to be fair, it looks silly until

Also, Morgiana with this expression looks awesom. Ohtaka should've let her go wild more.

My brain strikes again. Fatima was a slave of Mariadel, same with Masrur, and treated like her "child", so it's like they're family, and Morgiana's like a little sister to Masrur, so it's almost a family reunion.

Very unfortunately, I have to give it to Fatima that he looks kinda good in here.

On the list of small things that I'm a little salty about, I wish the Fanalis' hair was actually drawn as, you know, red. They keep talking about them being red lions, and flowing red hair, red eyes, and then they're drawn pink. It's a small aesthetic thing, but still.

So ... hypothetically, if you open a portal to another world (Alma Torran style) and from there, leave the s / o with a hood and "apocalyptic" clothes (like a bad ass). What would be the reaction that Kouen, Muu and Lo'lo would have?Could you make a short scenario or only one thing at a time?

I’m not sure if you were sending this in as a request or asking me ~hypothetically~, but I’m gonna go ahead and answer this with reactions ^^ I also wasn’t sure if you were wanted the s/o to be pre-established and returning after disappearing, if you wanted it to be a future s/o meeting the boys for the first time, or something else entirely. I’m going to go with my first idea: The reader was already with their love interest when they disappeared, and they’ve just returned via cool portal. Hope that’s okay!To answer, I only do scenarios for two characters per request, any more than that and I’ll either chop off the last character requested or choose which ones I wanna write for. Kouen Ren

This would be one of the few times surprise and/or shock could be clearly seen on the prince’s face. He would be very caught of guard, not understanding what it meant or why they’d suddenly appeared in such odd clothes. He would quickly go up to their side, looking to see if they knew where they were, knew how much time had passed, knew who they were, and if they remembered him. Kouen would want to know everything about their time away from him, having them see medical attention before beginning his interrogation. He would pause every few minutes, holding their hand in his and telling them that he was glad they were home.

Muu Alexius

The Fanalis would be concerned about their safety and mental health before anything else, telling anyone who had questions to go away until he was sure his s/o was in good health. He would take them to a royal healer, making sure that they rested up before telling anyone anything about what had happened to them. He wouldn’t leave their side, asking them periodically if they needed anything, how they were, and if they were happy to be back home with him. Muu would sigh heavily, petting their head and telling them that they could tell him what happened and where they’d gone when they wanted to, and that he was just very happy to have them back in his arms.

Lo’lo’

As soon as his s/o appeared before him, Lo’lo’ would grab their arm and roughly tug them into his chest, wrapping his arms around them and promising that he would never let them get away from him again. He would take them away from prying eyes, getting down on one knee and holding their hands in his and resting his head against their chest, his vulnerability showing through the tough-guy skin. Lo’lo’ would ask them what happened, where they’d been, if they’d missed him, and telling them that he was overjoyed to have them back. He would prod at them after composing himself, wanting to know every detail and if they were hurt.

They were both walking through the town square, the streets crowded with people setting up stalls for the annual festival. It was grating on Lo’lo’s nerves, but he made sure to keep his temper in check, for (y/n). He knew she didn’t like when he yelled at acted out of impatience. But, these people were everywhere and loud and so freaking annoying. He looked down to his girlfriends to ask if she wanted to go somewhere else, but saw that her face was filled with panic and nervousness.

Without thinking, Lo’lo picked her up easily and put her over his shoulder, and started to walk away from the big crowd with (y/n) holding onto his back for dear life. Once out of the way of everyone, and in a back alley, he dropped her down and crossed his arms as she avoided eye contact. “What’s wrong, you’re acting shy all of a sudden, and nervous too.” he stated. She blinked up at him, then pouted, fiddling with her fingers.

“There were too many people looking at me.” she said to him. Lo’lo stared at her more, before sighing and crouching down to her height.

“How do you know they were looking at you?” he asked her, his voice gentle and inviting.

“I could feel their eyes watching me, and I’m just--really insecure okay? I don’t like when people stare.” she whispered to him.

“What are you insecure about?”

“Everything; my body, my face, my smile, how I seem to others, my humor, my intelligence, everything Lo’lo.” she responded, her voice shaking at the end. When she was finished, Lo’lo pulled her into a hug, and stroked her in comfort. He heard her sniffle into his chest, and held her tighter.

“You are everything I wish I was you know that?” he said to  her, voice low. She gasped quietly, no aware that that where this conversation was going to go. “You are kind and gentle. You are beautiful and smart and you give everyone the benefit of the doubt, something I can’t do. You are patient and willing to do what it takes help someone in need.” Lo’lo muttered to her. He pulled her away to look at her face, seeing that she stopped crying completely. “Do you feel better now?” he asked.

She nodded her and smiled a little at him and kissed him on the cheek, next to his scare. “Thank you Lo’lo, I needed that.”
