Bank Security Guard Danny AU
So, the People of Gotham are extremely desensitized to Rouge Attacks at this point. It got to the point that whenever a person gets a job at the Bank, they have a whole 1 Hour Training Video on how to deal with a Rouge Attack right.
So, when they hire a New Security Guard from a lesser known Security Company, they don't even bother showing him the Training Video. They assume that he'll either Die or Drop them within a Week.
Danny, for the record, did not know how bad the Rouge problem truly was. All he knew was that some random guy in a Ski Mask had just walked into the bank like he owned the place and started showing off a Gun telling everybody to get on the ground.
Danny did the sensible thing and Knocked him the Fuck Out.
Then, the same thing happened the very next day, but this time it was an entire group of people. Danny had them dealt with before the first person had gotten to the floor.
Then the same thing happened the Same Day!
By the end of the week he had become a Legend among the Citizens of Gotham. There was only a single Bank in all of Gotham that had avoided being robbed for a Whole Week, and it was all because of this one Security Guard who was freakishly good at his Job.
By the end of the Month, most criminals don't even bother trying that Bank anymore. It got worse when he got loaned out as Security for another Bank, and the same thing happened again.
Eventually, he ends up rotating shifts in Every Bank in Gotham, and it becomes a Game for the Criminals to see if the Bank they try to Rob is the one Danny is in that night. And they can't even reasonably predict his next location, since he always moves around at Random!
No matter what Bank he is in, he always manages to beat the Crooks trying to Rob the Bank.
Then it gets weird. Due to a scheduling Mix Up, Danny ends up being scheduled for 2 different Banks on the same day, each across the city from the other.
One Bank reports that Danny stopped a gang from Robbing them at 6:00 PM, which really confuses the other Bank because Danny did the same thing in their Bank at the same time. Security Footage proves it, Danny was somehow in 2 places at once.
They decide not to confront him about it, but they do test a theory. They intentionally hire him at multiple different Banks at the same time for a week. He shows up to work every time without fail.
By now they have basically confirmed that he must be a Meta, but they don't really care anyways. Now he can protect multiple Banks at once with his usual perfect Efficiency, and he'll be payed accordingly as well. The Banks get protected well, and he gets payed Extreme Overtime by the Banks, everybody wins!
Well...except for the Crime Bosses of Gotham.
Before this, it was a Game for them to try and beat Danny. They didn't really care since a single Uber Competent Security Guard was still perfectly fine for business, sure they would fail a Job once in a while if they ran into him, but he could only be in 1 place at a time. It wasn't a Huge Loss.
But now it was too much. They needed to take care of him.
Assassination Attempts didn't work. He was just as competent Off the job as he was On it, so they could never get to him.
They tried attacking his Bosses, but then they hired themselves to protect...themselves. It was hard to kill his Bosses when he was constantly Bodyguarding all of them at once.
Attempts to get to him through his Family were...let's not talk about that...
It continued on like this for a while.
...
Soooo...I don't know how to end this one.
Go ahead and put your own spin on this Prompt! The basic idea is that Danny is using his Duplication Power to get to every shift on Time, and he is really annoying the Local Crime Bosses.
What do you think?

So this feels sort of obvious to me but Armand doesn’t wish to use or want any power he wants control. Specifically he wants to be in control of his sense of security, safety, stability, and attachments, his survival and identity. He controls what others are doing really only insofar as they threaten the control of any of that, cause he doesn’t really want power over them. (Except maybe Claudia, but I’d argue that is still a control thing). He will willingly forgo using or being in power for control. He manipulates and lies not for power but control. He makes grand displays of his vampire powers or strength not on the central intent of having power over people but for control. He doesn’t back down from Madeleine’s turning to have power over Louis he does it to remain in control over himself. He submits to giving up power for Louis’ power because it feels like it’s all in his control, and disobeys Louis when it’s not. He doesn’t take back power over the coven because he has more control if he does not fight it. His choice is a matter of weighing up how much control he has between the two. If the reasoned way to have control is to use power he will use it. If he doesn’t have to use power to have control, or there’s simply more control in not, he is not going to use it. Of course you will note he is simply very powerful, he has the position and means for it, and his ability to have and get so much control is a power in itself, that power is baked into having control. But he is not like Santiago, who is power hungry and wants and uses any power he can get his hands on. Or Marius who is full of himself on his power and has a sense of entitlement about it. Or even Louis who seeks and uses dominance and capital as power for a means of getting and having control. Armand is going primarily always for control as a means in itself for control, and the demand of it is a very high bar which tends to look like he wants or relishes in using power. But from all I can tell he quite hates it really, submission to power is a place of control for him, but he will use and get power if it’s the most in control means to control he has.
(This is at least as insofar as we’ve seen of him in the show. You could say Armand will have a sort of love with power but then some kind of disillusionment with it in s3, going off what I recall of tvl, that puts him back into this state of needing control being above power which would’ve also been his way of operating with Santino and Marius.)
(Added note: I should say I do believe Armand is almost always aware of his position to his power at all times, it’s not lost on him he is very powerful and can use said power if he so wanted, but it’s a question of his control if he does. He understands power and how to use it or he wouldn’t have such great ability to have and manipulate all this control. Of course he’s not perfect in this either, and I do think a strong sense of powerlessness, and total loss of control can override all his sensibility about power. Anyhow, Armand understands power extremely intimately, from all sides of it, and yet places attention not there but in having control, for the things I described above. Survival for him ranking above concerns like that.)

Eco-Friendly Load Securement: Sustainable Practices in Cargo Protection
Tumblr media
In a world increasingly conscious of environmental sustainability, the logistics and transportation industries are under pressure to adopt greener practices. One critical yet often overlooked area ripe for innovation is load securement—the art and science of protecting cargo during transit.
Traditionally, load securement has relied heavily on materials like plastic wraps, wood, and metal that, while effective, are not environmentally sustainable. Today, a shift toward eco-conscious solutions is reshaping how companies think about cargo protection. This article explores the latest in eco-friendly load securement practices, materials, and innovations.
What is Load Securement?
Load securement is the process of stabilizing cargo to prevent it from shifting, falling, or being damaged during transport. It's essential for safety, compliance, and product integrity across shipping modes—road, rail, sea, and air. A well-secured load can prevent injuries, financial losses, and environmental damage due to spills or breakages.
The load securement industry has evolved to include materials and strategies that not only provide superior stability but also minimize environmental impact.
Why Sustainable Load Securement Matters
1. Environmental Responsibility
The freight industry is responsible for substantial waste, much of it due to disposable packaging materials. Sustainable load securement aims to reduce this footprint by integrating recyclable, biodegradable, or reusable materials.
2. Compliance & Regulations
Governments and trade associations are tightening regulations on packaging waste. Adopting eco-friendly practices ensures compliance and positions businesses as forward-thinking industry leaders.
3. Economic Efficiency
Although sustainable materials may have a higher upfront cost, they often yield long-term savings through reusability, lighter shipping weights (fuel savings), and reduced damage claims.
Key Eco-Friendly Load Securement Solutions
Let’s explore the most effective and sustainable options for securing loads today:
1. Stretch Wrap Alternatives and Innovations
Stretch wrap, made from polyethylene, is used globally to secure palletized loads. While it's not traditionally eco-friendly, the rise of biodegradable, recycled, and pre-stretched variants is changing the game.
Eco-friendly practices include:
Using recycled stretch wrap to reduce new plastic usage.
Adopting pre-stretched wrap, which uses up to 50% less material.
Choosing biodegradable wraps that decompose under industrial composting.
Tip: Reduce wrap usage by combining it with other load stabilizers like anti-slip rubber mats or dunnage bags.
2. Anti Slip Rubber Mats from Recycled Materials
Anti slip rubber mats prevent pallets from sliding during transport. When made from recycled rubber (e.g., old tires), these mats contribute significantly to landfill waste reduction.
Sustainable advantages:
Reusable over hundreds of shipments.
Durable and chemical-resistant.
Reduces need for excess stretch wrap or tie-downs.
3. FIBC Bulk Bags: Reusability at Scale
FIBC Bulk Bags (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers) are used for transporting granular, powdery, or large-volume items. They're not only strong and space-efficient but also highly reusable, making them a staple for sustainable shipping.
Key eco-benefits:
Reduced need for cardboard or wooden boxes.
Easy to fold, store, and reuse.
Made from recyclable polypropylene.
See FIBC Bulk Bags: Types and Benefits for more.
4. Void Fillers Made from Recycled Paper & Cardboard
A void filler is a product used to fill gaps between cargo and prevent shifting. Conventional fillers (like foam peanuts) are harmful to the environment. Modern solutions include:
Recycled kraft paper void fillers.
Corrugated cardboard edge protectors and inserts.
Inflatable void fillers (dunnage bags) made from recyclable plastic and paper.
These options are lightweight and often fully biodegradable.
Learn more at Void Fillers: Ultimate Guide to Protective Packaging.
5. Custom Packaging Solutions to Minimize Waste
Custom packaging solutions are designed to fit products precisely, eliminating unnecessary voids and materials. This approach ensures:
Less stretch wrap and filler needed.
Reduced shipment size and weight (lower emissions).
Enhanced product protection (lower breakage and returns).
Sustainably designed custom packaging uses recycled paper, biodegradable plastics, or molded pulp.
6. Honeycomb Packaging: Strength Meets Sustainability
Honeycomb packaging is a paper-based material that mimics the hexagonal structure of beehives. Lightweight yet sturdy, it is ideal for:
Pallet-top sheets.
Edge protection.
Cushioning for fragile goods.
It’s 100% recyclable and often sourced from post-consumer paper waste.
7. Dunnage Air Bags: Reusable Inflatable Stability
Dunnage Air Bags (or airbags) are inserted between cargo items or pallets to prevent shifting. They are typically made from a plastic bladder and a paper or woven outer shell.
Eco-friendly benefits:
Reusable when properly deflated and stored.
Outer shell often recyclable or biodegradable.
Available in paper and poly-woven forms.
Read more at Dunnage Bags: Types, Uses & Benefits.
8. Airbag Inflators: Tools That Reduce Waste
The airbag inflator is used to fill dunnage bags. Advanced inflators use:
Less energy.
Automatic shutoff to prevent overinflation.
Modular components made from recyclable aluminum or plastic.
Check out How Airbag Inflators Work to learn more.
Putting It All Together: Building a Sustainable Load Securement Strategy
To implement a truly eco-friendly load securement plan, consider a multi-layered approach:
Need
Sustainable Option
Pallet Stabilization
Pre-stretched recycled stretch wrap, anti slip rubber mat
Gap Filling
Void filler, Dunnage Bags, honeycomb board
Bulk Shipping
Reusable FIBC Bulk Bags
Product Protection
Custom packaging solutions using recycled materials
Void Elimination
Eco-friendly Honeycomb packaging
Air Delivery
Efficient airbag inflator with low energy usage
Industry Case Study: How Going Green Pays Off
A mid-sized logistics firm switched from traditional foam fillers and shrink wrap to:
Honeycomb corner protectors
Pre-stretched recycled stretch wrap
Dunnage bags with inflators
Within one year, they saw:
28% reduction in material costs.
45% less packaging waste.
Fewer damaged shipments (down 32%).
Challenges in Sustainable Load Securement
While the benefits are clear, transitioning to eco-friendly practices is not without hurdles:
Initial Investment – Reusable and biodegradable materials often cost more upfront.
Training – Staff may need guidance to handle new tools like inflators or custom wraps.
Compatibility – Not all sustainable products are suitable for every cargo type or transportation method.
These challenges can be mitigated with proper planning, training, and vendor support.
How to Begin Your Sustainability Journey

so my thoughts on visions of gideon being such a lawlight song. in my mind, it's in the perspective of L who in my mind, has always been very head over heels in love with light, ever since the tennis scene. and he knows it, he is unashamedly in love with light.
now, this song, it's his final thoughts regarding light as he is about to die in light's arms. "i have loved you for the last time" and all of that, it's that finality. he is never getting again because like. he is dying. and then there is the repeat of "is it a video?" and for this, it obviously means memory. memory so vivid but distant you're not sure if you've actually lived through it or if it's just a "video". as he dies, it goes through his head, all of the memories with light. but for this lyric, i am also thinking. security footage of the headquarters. where L and light acted as they were, it's all in tape from the cameras in the headquarters. and it's just. a sad little thought i have that after L had died and light became the new L, light would just constantly watch those security footage of them together. was it just a video or had it really happened?
now, i am not sure about the "for the love, for laughter, i flew up to your arms" part. hm. there could be an explanation but who knows
