BRIEF: Research Centre/Bird Hide

The brief for this project was to design both a bird hide and a research centre in an island opposite Kew Gardens located in Brentford, West London, on the River Thames.

The bird hide was to be there to allow for the public to observe the birds in the opposite island which contained a bird sanctuary.

The research centre proposal is to be  dedicated to the study of fluid mechanics, therefore, its main space will be a laboratory. It will be in partnership with Imperial University, as it is a prestigious university, specialising in the sciences. There will be both a gallery and event space to show the evolution of fluid mechanic research over the years such as that by Da Vinci and Newton.

İmarı 80 rezidans nitelikli 2 ve 3 yatak odalı dairelerden oluşan projeyi 120 dairelik imara çıkarabilmek için çalışmalar yapmaktayız. 3,500 m2 lik arsa içinde olan projemizin yaklaşık 6,000 m2 lik satılabilir alanı vardır.

Bölge

Kent’in tarihi bir ilçesi olan Gravesend, Londra Merkezine uzaklığı 21 mil olup, tarih boyunca sahil kasabası olmasından dolayı stratejik bir önemi olmuştur. 105,000 nüfuslu ilçede, proje şehir merkezinde olup Gravesend istasyonuna 2 dakikalık yürüme mesafesindedir. Bu yıl faaliyete geçen hızlı tren sayesinde ilçenin önemi gittikçe artmakta olup Londra’ya ulaşım mesafesi,

Gravesend – London St Pancras International 24 dakika

Aynı zamanda Paris ve Brüksel’e hızlı trenle ulaşım yakında yapılabilecektir Paramount Theme Park, bölgede £3.2m lük yatırım yapılarak 2023 tarihinde açılması beklenmektedir. Bölgedeki Bluewater Alışveriş merkezi 330 dükkan ve yıllık 27 milyon ziyaretçisi ile Projeye 10 dakika uzaklıktadır.
