I did this rant elsewhere so I’ll put it here regarding COVID-19 in the UK and Facemasks in general

I'm ASTHMATIC, but I wear a facemask! I know people are exempt and have reasons, but Anti-Maskers, what is your excuse? I have struggled to breathe my entire life. But yet I can wear a facemask to keep myself AND others safe. Why can't you?

And YES, I am being genuinely serious. Do not give me the reason “I’m healthy”, just because you are healthy does not make you immune. What? You are healthy so you can’t get coronavirus? Sure.

I’m not throwing a dig at those who are exempt from wearing facemasks either, I completely understand! But all I’m meaning is for those of you who cannot wear a facemask or those of you who cannot wear a facemask properly. Wear a visor, at least, ANYTHING! If not for yourself then PLEASE wear something for other people.

I took this photo sometime during Lockdown 1. I kinda lost my photo mojo during lockdown, hardly surprising when I was indoors for 47 days. Going to try to do better this time round. It doesn't surprise me we're going into #lockdown2 The UK government messaging has been appalling, leading lots of people to believe they don't fall under the mask wearing recommendations and guidance. But here's the thing, vulnerable people, people with disabilities and underlying health conditions still exist. That magically doesn't go away. We all need to be a little less selfish. As someone with an autoimmune disease, I'm glad lockdown is happening. It currently feels like Russian roulette every time I leave the apartment. englands second lockdown is really tough. i struggle with ptsd and every November gets really hard. this year my bf planned for us to go away to scotland but now there's a second lockdown literally lasting all of November , we can't go. I'm all for a second lockdown , we need it. But I barely coped in the first one 😓 this second one during the hardest month is really unlucky for me. I have a few counselling sessions and meetings to attend next week in regards to this all but its tough guys.

got very mixed feelings about matt Hancock’s comment about sick leave because yes he’s correct that brits are ‘peculiar’ for insisting on working while sick, that phoning in or wfh when you have flu symptoms or what-have-ya stops viruses spreading in the workplace, but he obviously hasn’t thought hard about why people go into work anyway
