“Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in installments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.” ― Israelmore Ayivor

I don’t like crying anymore  I feel so weak I dont close my eyes anymore because I’m afraid to sleep My out look on life use to be so unique but now I’m lost and have nothing to say because I realized life is kinda … cheap I stopped caring about what’s around me because it will just be gone I tried feeling emotions but I’m still fucking numb I trust too fucking easily and always end up   hurting. Give people my all and sometimes end up burning but I guess thats the way things work it’s an endless cycle of hurt

Heather Benning (2007) - Life Sized Dollhouse.
Dollhouses are interesting because they represent optimistic versions of what we believe homes (spaces that people spend their lives in) should be.
Benning plays with this concept by re-enlarging that representation - putting it under a microscope. It forces us to look deeper at how we interpret and represent something so important and so... well, human.
---
Using an abandoned farmhouse acquired in 2005, Benning; reshingled the roof and worked to restore and refurnish the interior to the era when it was last occupied. Benning then removed the north façade, replacing it with massive sheets of PlexiGlass.
Due to the farmhouses age and continued decay - in 2013  the Dollhouse was deemed unsafe, and set ablaze
