can a character I used to mock on turn into character I've written and theorized on a lot? Into a character I self project onto? apparently engel from the hit game pk2 can do this to me, and as one of the most mysterious character in the game engel gave me so much headache long time ago it's making me insane (still am) but worth it! but I can't escape now! i might be forever staying in this regalle hellhole! wow!

the above answer goes too here actually. i've ever mentioned somewhere they're like. a secret fourth thing to me. their love is something incomprehensible to the world it *can't* be classified as merely and only romantic. sure it can be seen as such but I don't rlly want to strict the two's relationship under a status.

but for other answers is of course the other two of the main 4, leif and especially evelynne

don't get me wrong I do am insane more about zefirengel and the writing I have about their dynamic is a lot more (yes i'm biased thanks to the past me and how I want to bring back that old spite. sorz), but

never forget that evelynne is canonically the only person in regalle that engel has positive relationship with. they're friends and lynne mentioned engel helped her since the early days she became a merchant and said multiple times they're nice despite that cold cover of theirs. how'd they get along in the first place? that's the question. there's so SO many things I thought of about their friendship story and her perspective prove a thing that engel isn't always a very quiet cold and meanie person and can be soft and nice if you actually get them right.

(though smth to note I see them as queerplatonic. I think lynne would shriveled up if she found out she's in a romance with someone for a second and. idk they fit better as that honestly I don't think they understand romance or want to aha)

and leif. goodness. if they interact more perhaps prism may fall into apocalypse they're too powerful. they could be a good student-mentor duo. Leif called them "librarian friend" and I believe he would ask for guidance to engel despite already have gwynelle. engel too would admire his bravery and determination to help everyone and just being so friendly with anyone. how's he's just. a contrast with the so-called arrogant and strict aegles. I can list MANY similarities they have esp like. their mindset. actually If i have to list what things are the main 4 share the same it would be uncountable since each second passes I would thought of a thing then another.

OH AND DON'T FORGET GRETTA THEIR SO-CALLED SISTER i can't even say anything here it would be a lot LOT. God what are you two hiding. what are your motives to hide on places? what. what. what. wh

(this one is [mostly] for me ->) also people mostly thought they're mean and "annoying" or just see them like "ok sure you exist but you're kinda nothing with that grumpy personality", which I get people see it that way esp when you aren't into the game deeply but you've got to know there's more than that about them and once you learned atleast their origins you realized you can make things up, interpret how they are this and that and how they act that and this, it was so much fun to figure out how their actual personality blend with the others. you can actually have so much fun with them considering the many things about them unrevealed. truly the character to self project onto. it's fun.

I know they really just seem really want to stay distance and unbothered by the people in regalle but. c'mon. can you develop more interactions of the main 4 with each other. hi! more stuff about finrey and the deep sea au!!!!!

note before reading this: go read the intro to this au!

the nihilanth is the big bad at the end of the game in this au, not benrey, though benny does end up being antagonistic at points

(quick side note: the nihilanth is probably going to get a complete fuckinv overhaul to make it more menacing and fit in more with the whole theme…. no giant space baby sorz..)

Xen has different “sections” most of it is water but there are air pockets and such, hence why there’s still “land” creatures from Xen (normal peeper puppies, headcrabs etc)

EMMET CALHOUN canon, and literally the only other remaining member of benrey’s species (the rest are dead blehghh). he escaped Xen a few years prior to black mesa capturing benrey. he ended up going undercover as human and actually applying for a security job at BM.

Benrey can still change size, noclip, shapeshift, etc.. BUT NO SWEET VOICE. instead he has the orbs on his tail, he can detach them and they’ll grow back (moreso just pop back into existence but egghghhhh) tehy have yhe same effects, and you can eat them lol :3

benny pulls all the bitches but the main one I’m gonna focus on will probably be evil Powerade (darnrey!) i think their dynamic would be really cute

after his tests, he’s sometimes allowed to roam around the facility, so long as he doesnt cause trouble.

also: the viewing window in his tank is at the top of the tank, the inside is very dark, littered with xen flora and fake rock structures, he has a sort of "den" almost, in a small cave near the bottom of the tank (its a very big tank) there's also an airlock near the window that he (and the scientists) use to get in and out of the tank, but he prefers noclipping through the glass. (this is very damaging esp because the room that the window is connected to doubles as Tommy's office.....)

Damien: duke of Maple Bay. Rides a horse into battle with hair as beautiful as his. Probably wields blood magic and taught hugo those spells. Vampire/Black Mage? Levelling him to max releases the puppies he takes care of at the animal shelter, adding them to the dog audience on the sidelines

Amanda: Kicks Ass. a ranger that HAS A PROBLEM WITH AUTHORITY. Consider: Finger guns shoot actual bullets. Can probably pull some Life is Strange business with her photography. Thus, is literally Tracer + Prompto. cracks equally hammy puns during battle. Always support our internet daughter

A big ol’ sketchdump I did for my original project Feathers and Flowers, with a big focus on Sakura! I was mostly exploring her as a character, specifically the aspect in which she’s a star athlete on her college team and some sketches exploring the relationship between her and Evangeline. uwu

ALLLLRIGHTY! Now that I've had some sleep I'm ready to share that lore and funfacts with ya, soooooo here we gooooooooo! ------ 1.) As a student athlete, Sakura is expected to train almost daily in order to keep herself in tip-top shape for the team. The training she goes through is pretty intense and ruthless at times, but Sakura actually really enjoys it; it gives her an outlet for the high amount of energy she typically has (she's basically an overgrown puppy). On "cool down days" she runs so she at least stays active, and in this instance Evangeline wanted to come along and run with her. She's never played a sport before and outside the occasional walk, she's never actually exercised before, and she asks Sakura to help her change that. Let's just say, uhhh... well. She couldn't keep up; barely was able to run a full mile (almost gave up half-way but Sakura encouraged her enough to do it) and afterward she's a puddle of goo on the track ground. By that point Sakura's already a few miles in, but she stops to scoop her exhausted roommate up like she weighs no less than a pillow and carry her to the shaded bleachers for rest. "I... I'm sorry..." Evangeline rasps through her gasping, feeling ashamed at her lackluster performance. "I-I should have been able to do more." "Whatdya talkin about? It's ya first time doing this, yeah? You did amazing!" Sakura says, but when Evangeline tries to protest, she shakes her head. "Nup up up! No beating yourself up; ya tried your hardest and that's all I can ask for." She cuts a crooked, sharp smile to her roommate and beams at her. "I'm so proud of you!" With the full force of that smile directed to her, Evangeline's exhausted flush deepens and she feels butterflies in her stomach. 2.) Sakura coolin' out after a hard workout. I was gonna give her a gatorade bottle but I didn't feel like drawin' it, so ya get a default waterbottle instead. Sorz. ;w; 3.) The concept sketch for her college uniform with their home colors. Another thing I'm kinda thinkin' about is, as a star player of her team, Sakura and a few others are often asked to pose and take pictures for magazines geared toward college-level sports. This one could very well be one of 'em; actually that might be fun, to do a sketchdump of Sakura on magazine covers. O: 4.) Towel in hand, Sakura's gearin' up to leave the gym and head on home for the day. Before she goes, she hears one of her teammates shout playfully "didn't know it was sheepdog season, Scruffy!" A cant in her hip, she laughs out,"shut up, Quincy, I look good like this!" Sakura often keeps her hair well maintained and cut in her usual style: long in the front, short in the back. But every now and then, she'll allow her hair to grow longer than usual, and this is what it typically looks like. I really like the look, actually! <: Also, Sakura is pretty confident in herself, but it isn't often she acts smug and cocky about it. o3o 5.) A doodle to show off a clash between Sakura and an opposing player as she tries to run the ball. Sakura's job as a power runningback is to... well. Literally power through anything and anyone who tries to stop her from advancing the ball forward. It's no secret she's strong, really strong, but she isn't the only one, and there are instances where she has to really put her back into bulldozing if she wants to get through. This instance could be a part of a super important game or somethin'; not gonna lie I'm highly considering maybe writing a short story surrounding this doodle. o3o 6.) Evangeline in Sakura's most favorite jacket (outside her letterman jacket). Maybe the two of 'em went out for a post-game party and Evangeline got cold, so Sakura just wraps her up in her jacket without question. Now would be a good time to officially state that, while I don't know the endgame of their relationship, Evangeline canonically does develop a crush on Sakura (this happens a little later, when the whole gang are friends). The football player doesn't actually know that, though, and she's entirely oblivious to it. 7.) Kaela: *knowing look* Evangeline: ... "Why are you looking at me like that?" Kaela: "You like her." Evangeline: What? No I don't. Kalea: ‘Ae, darling, you do. That blush isn't just from the sun, no? Evangeline: "I-! That's jus... O-of course it is! It's hot out and I'm gross and sweaty and... stop looking at me like that!" Kaela: E kala mai ia`u. But you look cute with your face red like that." Evangeline: *sputters and blushes harder* Sakura might be oblivious to Eva's crush, but Kaela certainly isn't. And she certainly isn't above some gentle teasing about it. >:3

8.) Just a quick doodle of Sakura being happy uwu One of the biggest aspects of her design is that her smile is always crooked (always favors the right side) and she always shows her teeth when she does, hence her signature sharp-ish grin. :>

JoJostuck Infodump: Lowblood Beta Trolls

sorz for no art (even though i rarely go on tumblr anyways-) but my phone is...... well, it was broken but now it's fixed, but i can't go get it rn unfortunately. if youve been on my insta you know i have a new drawing pad now (!!!), but im still getting used to the thing

ANYWAYS, that aside, as the title suggests, in this post i'll be infodumping about who the lowblood beta trolls are in the jojostuck au :D

Karkat: I like to think he's just a normal guy, but because all his friends are for some reason either Hamon or Stand users (or even both), he fakes having a Stand. He says his Stand is invisible to everyone but him, and its ability is so lame that there's literally no situation in which it can be used. Don't have a name for his "Stand" yet, maybe Don't Forget the Sun? Not sure why he follows the gang, maybe to prove he's a big boy who can take care of himself with his most-definitely-real Stand, maybe he just likes his friends that much. Not sure what he works as, or if he even has a job. Maybe he's one of the people who runs those advice columns in newspapers.

Aradia: She has a Stand! Their name is Creepy Girls, and they're a collection of ghosts that multiply over time. Their ability is to freeze a person in time for a minute when they "possess" them, and the ability can stack up (e.g. if you have five ghosts and five guys, you can either freeze all five people for a minute, or one guy for five). The ghosties can be killed and that brings pain to Aradia, but so long as at least one remains the user won't die with the Stand. She was the one who found Doc Scratch's pillar and woke him up, being an archaeologist and all that.

Tavros: Tav has a stand! Its name is Lost Boy. Its essentially just Tinkerbull whose size wanes and waxes according to Tav's confidence. Its ability is to control any animal it sees, and the amount of animals it can control depends on his confidence. Also not sure why he's tagging along with the gang. Probs works at an animal-related job because his Stand makes it easy lololol

Now, for Sollux I've actually split him into two, because Who Wouldn't, Amirite?

Sol: The elder of the captor twins. He has a stand AND Hamon!! His Stand's name is Lycoris Radiata. It looks like what Psii would look like if Psii was a plant man. Its ability is to give the user visions of imminent doom happening in 2 time units (seconds, hours, months, millenia, you get the idea). The time unit is never given, so it's kinda useless tbh-- his Stand DOES have a secret ability, wherein if you cut its face to form a mouth (it's mouthless, did i mention that), whoever hears its voice bar the user will be cursed to die in 2 time units. Probably works as like...... a programmer for some gaming company, or just lives off of money he steals from Bezos' bank acc. He's with the team because he received visions abt Lord English, and Doc Scratch seems sketchy af and rubs him off the wrong way, so might be worth following.

Lux: The younger of the captor twins. He has a Stand!! Not sure if he has Hamon like his bro tho...... his Stand doesn't have a name yet, but im thinking Body Electric? His Stand looks like Mituna fused with Ampfibian from Ben 10. Its ability is to generate electricity, and it can also travel through any electric current!! He definitely works in some gaming company, not sure as what though...... either a playtester or a programmer. He's here solely because he wants to tag along with his Bro

I see creatures and events that flit by one scene after the other in quick succession. They’re terrifying and very vivid. I usually wake up screaming and with sleep paralysis. Till now I’ve seen three of such distinctly horrific dreams and have even written them down, but I don’t think I will post them anywhere. (I think I watch too much horror movies lol.)

3. Is there a book/a movie that you’ve loved but couldn’t read or watch again? Citizen: an American Lyric by Claudia Rankine. I had a love-hate relationship with this book. It’s about racism faced by African Americans in America, and of course, I sympathize. However, the book is too serious and intense - it’s stressful. Of course, I suppose it’s supposed to impart such feelings, but still. The best thing about it, however, is her writing style: it’s one of the most unique I’ve come across - a blend of imagery, script and poetry along with dialogues between various photographs and artworks. It’s really an inspiration. But yes, would never read again, sorz Claudia.

4. If you could be someone else for 24 hours, who would that be? Can I be a happy eight-year-old kid thank you.

5. You can get your dream job in exchange for ten years of your life, do you accept? Nope. Time and youth is precious, I’d rather work and study the ten years to get my dream job. In the ten years lost, I feel like I’d miss out on a lot of things.

6. A meteorite is to destroy the earth in 24h, what do you do for dinner tonight? Be home with my family but they’re across the globe so this question stresses me D:

7. You can revive one human being, no matter how long ago they died, who do you choose? Someone of your family? Siddhārtha Gautama? Homer? Shakespeare? Jesus christ? Be wild (or not). Van Gogh. So that he’d get to see how much his art inspires people now. Poor guy was depressed most of his life and his art career was unsuccessful. I’m sure there are lots of artists/writers/activists etc whose works and deeds became appreciated only posthumously. Let them see that they touched people’s lives.

8. You can make one thing disappear from existence, what do you choose? (It has to be something concrete, not a concept, like the flue is okay, but not the concept of disease.) Mosquitoes lol

9. You wake up in the body of Quasimodo, what is your first thought? If we’re really talking about first thoughts then: I AM IN PARIS FFFF I WANT TO TOUR EVERYWHERE.

Because he’s intelligent and strong so my potato brain and unathletic body can rely on him ^^’. He’s also wonderfully optimistic and has a good sense of humor so he’d make the journey fun too.

What do you do? I wouldn’t be able to look at them the same way, but I’d be willing to give them a second chance for redemption (everyone deserves this I think). If even that doesn’t work out, sorry. i’ve been writing a lot on here, i think, whether it be accidental or not. but anyway i just... really dont feel okay. and thats fine. i feel rather small. i’ve been feeling that a lot since yesterday but more so now.  i contacted someone after reading a few of their tweets and it broke my heart even more. people go through so much and have to hold it in and that hurts my heart. like !!! very big things that i couldnt even imagine. all the pain they go through that they dont talk about publicly out of fear that people will think theyre crazy. i’ve felt that before, without realizing that other people might feel like that too. i want to help so many people but i am so small and i always fear that my words wont be the right ones. i feel like all i can do is listen. but sometimes that is all it takes. there are times when i feel like i’m talking to a wall. or talking to someone and pouring out my tears when they would much rather be doing something else at that moment. or like i cant talk at all. i dont want others to feel like that. i feel like there are or were times when i didnt listen, and i always regret it. i feel like i always hesitate to check on someone or follow up or to say something.    today my problems feel so small. everything hurts. it’s hard to do much of anything. but i still hope that those around me are okay. even those who i havent spoken to in a very long time. if they cant confide in me i really do hope that they dont hold it in and find a way to express how they feel. honestly, this is kinda dumb coming from me, i kinda dont even want to post this anymore i feel like a hypocrite but i’m trying this thing where i post my thoughts in the moment, but i’m not sure if thats a good route. i mean its good practice for when i want to express something to someone directly aka getting a “jUST DO IT” attitude. like damn the messages i type out to someone trying to tell them that i feel bad but ultimately dont send bc my lil brain goblin tells me not to, wow, but anyway yea sorz for rambling i hope no one reads this if anyone even reads my other junk ????

South Korea Trip 2k16; Day 2 (Seoul)

Hey!

Congrats, you made it to day 2! (LONG OVERDUE SORZ ITS THE 4TH WEEK OF MY SUMMER SEM IM DYING) (update: nah didnt finish it on my 4th week.... i finished this during my sem break... heh)

Instead of visiting historical places there’s one thing I’ve been wanting way before we arrived in Seoul..... Visit K-pop entertainment companies/buildings.

Yes. I’m actually a K-pop fan, probably one of the main reasons why we went there for a holiday djskhdjkhkdhsajkdkhsda. I told my parents that I at least need a day where I can visit as many companies as I can since one day is not enough tbh. My parents agreed that my bro can follow me to while hunting down these buildings while both my mom and dad went to visit other places around Seoul.

I initially wanted to wake up a lil early but as usual, we suck at waking up early so we were kind of behind schedule. We got ready asap and then had breakfast at the Italian restaurant in our hotel called 3 Birds. I would recommend this restaurant but I won’t because of their RUDE staff. They looked like they were forced to be there y’know? They also take away food tooooo quick right on the dot when the buffet is over.... When there are still people picking out food. I get that it’s over but it would be rude to take away all the food while someone’s still picking out their food? No?

Ok after we’re done with breakfast both of us separate. We bought our T-Money card to use for the subway stations a day before so we just went to one of the nearest stations and went to the first place on our list. Before we arrived at our first destination, we stopped by stations halfway to find advertisements of one of my favorite idols. I’m a huge fan of a group called BTS especially one of the vocalists, named Taehyung, stage name V (let’s just call him Taehyung plox). It was his birthday month so many of his fans (or just fansites) put up advertisements for his birthday at selected subway stations around Seoul. We found like 2 that day and wow I didn’t imagine myself seeing it with my own eyes instead of being behind the screen. I’ve always seen pics of Korean fans posting pics of them posing for the ads. It’s just surreal I’m there y’know,,,,, as a fan. As you can see in the photos, I was REALLY happy.

So after the mini photo shoot, we continued on to our first destination. The first destination is actually, Big Hit Entertainment, aka BTS’ company. I felt that I should visit the office at least once in my life since I’m a huge fan. I have realized that many fans are confused on where the hell is the building because it’s very low-key not like YG or SM so to those who need help, I can help y’all with this. However, it’s not very detailed and apparently, Big Hit already moved to a bigger office at Apgugeong??? If I’m not mistaken? But if you’re curious then:

The nearest metro station to the building was Line 3 Sinsa Station so that’s where we stopped.

1. You walk out of Exit 1 of Sinsa station and just walk straight and take a right after 5 blocks. There should be blocks of buildings on your right anyway with small roads going on a small hill.

2. Take the 2nd street on your left and on the 3rd block, you should be able to see Big Hit on your right. 

3. If you’re lost with all these instructions (LIKE I WAS PREVIOUSLY) Google Maps does wonders. I also used Waze but it is based on you using a car. So stick with Google Maps since you’re walking and search ‘Big Hit Entertainment’. Some of the locations they give MIGHT be false so prepare yourself for that.

*It might look lowkey scary going on your own so pls bring someone with you.

Tbh, we almost got lost a few times but eventually, we found our way. We walked a few places and later we found it. Shout out to Google Maps for saving our asses. I’m amazed how we didn’t need to ask anyone to find our way. Bles technology!

OH STORY TIME: I coincidentally bumped into BTS’ manager right in front of us when we were finding Big Hit. 

Yep, that’s right. He’s probably the reason why I could find Big Hit because he was heading that way dsjgdkhjsagydsgkdskks. When we were almost got to Big Hit there was a man with takeaway coffee on his hand. It was still the morning btw so I thought oh some random man going to work. But, I had a good look on his face and I freaked out. Once I saw his face my face just went blank because I recognize his face from somewhere and I straight away knew he was the manager. As an avid fan, I’ve seen HQs & press photos of BTS with their manager so I’m used to seeing his face time to time. So once I saw his face, I almost froze and stopped my bro. My bro was confused and later I explained to him quietly who he was. I kinda took a pic lmao:

So the smartest thing I’ve done after that is to go the other way, completely going to the opposite direction of Big Hit. I didn’t want to make him think of us as some international stalkers or sasaengs. Later when I thought it felt safe, we went to the direction where he went which leads to Big Hit. Surprise surprise, he was gone. He probably went in already so... 

ANYWAYS, as typical tourists we took photos.

What makes it more interesting, some Big Hit staff told us to go away when we didn’t even go in the building or anything.... We just taking photos.... But at the same time... I highkey feel like someone was inside... Possibly BTS? Whatever it is, wow.... I got shooed away by Big Hit staff LMAO.

Moving on, we went back to the train station and arrived at Samseong Station to visit SMTOWN! I feel that almost every kpop fan goes there when they visit Seoul lmao. Wow, I was shocked at how I was actually there and not from photos. Saw cool standees from Baekhyun (exo bias HI), Krystal, and lots more! I too took one of the photo booth photos!!!! leeet

One thing most stans go for is basically.... THE MERCH. I mean other than going for the live concert thingies (which I didn’t bother to go), official merchandise is the best next thing... So obviously if anyone wants to get their fave SM artists’ merch, going to SMTOWN itself is fine, more specifically, their albums. Their albums are reasonably priced so you don’t have to buy it outside in my opinion. Their official merchandise from posters, photobooks, phone cases, even the food are one of a kind. I feel if going to SMTOWN, and you’re an avid fan of EXO, Red Velvet or any other SM artist, just buy them. 

After looking around, we found a halal Indian restaurant called Luna Asia. Ngl, the food was alright. For Muslims, y’all could go for this!

We then took Samseong station again and arrived at Apgujeongrodeo station to go to The Mins! Some might not know, but this cafe is famous for treating some kpop idols, including BTS! (don’t @ me let me live i am an avid fan) So we took exit () and walked all the way down. The Mins was inside so you have to get into the neighborhood to find it. (Better descriptions are in the link I added @ The Mins)

The place was really cute from the outside and inside. OH, I forgot to mention, 2AM’s Changmin owns this cafe! Pretty legit. I also think I might’ve met his parents there too, because I heard that his parents do work there. I only noticed that once I got out of the cafe.... rip.

ANYWAYS, I ordered the Four Berry drink..... aka what BTS usually orders (yes shut up). It was really good anyway.

In the plus side, cool stuff on their walls! BTS posters, and signed albums from many other celebs like SISTAR, Gfriend and lots more! (you can also get to sit where BTS have sat before hehehehhehehe)

Later, we went to K-Star Road to visit all the big figures??? dolls??? idk what to call them. But yeah, we went and obviously had to find BTS’ one.

We were tired af and basically done all we wanted to do (except visiting JYP or YG Entertainment :(((() so we went back to our hotel.

After a few hours of rest in the hotel, we still had energy so we thought of not wasting time by going N Seoul Tower by using the Namsan Cable Car. It was a nice view from the hill but I feel it would be better during daylight?? Since it was winter I think it’ll look prettier during daylight. SORZ FOR NO PHOTO I WAS HALF DEAD THAT NIGHT KSKFKSHFJKSF

Anyways, we found this halal restaurant at this close knit neighborhood in Seoul called Yang Good (Yangguk) and boy...... they had GR8 meat. 11/10 recommended.
