fanart competition!!

Yes, I am hosting a fanart competition, mostly because I can't draw for shit and I want the pfp of this to be something that isn't gacha club, it is from now till February 1st

I also want to see your interpretations of this story and these characters, keep in mind, 'legend of the Oracle' is a horror project, so horror art is highly encouraged.

Also rules

No NSFW (both main characters and mod are minors)

Ship art is allowed

Soulless or “Sergio” was just strolling through the woods after an “experiment” gone wrong.

He felt it SORTA help…but he disliked the scenery at times…because of HER.

He then froze at the sound of a mysterious voice.

He whipped his head around and saw the being who asked for a presence.

He stood still, but with class as he said, “hello there…what brings you here, my good…sir????”, he asked awkwardly.

Oh…a simple doll??? How quaint…

Chapter 1 "planning"

"some believe it, others don't. Either way, there's no denying the eerie nature of what the elders call 'the Oracle'. The story tells of a monster that roams the woods in the dead of night in search of a snack. Some say the last thing you hear is the flapping and rustling of it's huge wings before you go out, but we'll never know-" "Because it's not real!" Jack shouted at his friend from across the room "I'm tired of your conspiracy theory bullshit Atlas, can you just admit it isn't real already?" Atlas let out an annoyed groan in response "But it 𝘪𝘴 real, Jack! Why can't you see it?"

She closed her notebook and layed back on her bed, staring at her ceiling, her posters of alien ships, bigfoot, mothman, area 51. Her bookshelves of cryptids, Eldritch horror, serial killer deep-dive books, and she started to wonder "how can I prove any of this to him?". She was so deep in thought that she didn't hear Jack trying to get her attention "atty? Hello? Earth to atlas", but she wasn't listening, she had an idea of how to prove to him that it was real, but it would take some convincing to get him to do it

Atlas sat bolt up right, startling jack into shutting up. After a few seconds of staring excitedly at him, Atlas finally spoke "what if I prove that it's real?", jack rolled his eyes at the question "and how exactly would you do that?" "We could camp out in the woods to find this thing." He cocked his head to the side, thinking she was joking "At, you can't be serious." He laughed slightly, but she was dead serious. Atlas stared at him, waiting for his response.

Jack, as much as he loved camping and listening to Atlas's rambling, actually 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 with any of it would be COMPLETELY insane, but he figured this would be fun. He nodded, maintaining his casual, laid-back demeanor "yeah I'll go, when do you wanna meet me there?", Atlas beamed at his response "Tuesday work for you?" Jack nodded "sure, what time?" Atlas thought for a second "5:30! I've already done most of my research on the oracle, I just need a few days to finish it" Jack nodded again "alright, text me when I need to get over there". Atlas nodded, still grinning brightly

Redesign time

I'm redesigning the oracle, to make it more obvious it's a child of Apollo

Blotches of yellow and white will be added on its body to mimic sunspots

One of it's pupils will be a sun (the other will be a triangle cuz it's fun)

It's antennae will be arrow-shaped, and it will be given an arrow shaped tail

Fun oracle facts!!

I created it with my friend as a project in art class

It has no gender or biological sex

It's a demigod (if you want more info on that, just tell me)

It has the mentality of a child, except very intelligent

It gets very lonely on its own in the forest

It ADORES humans

It is aware of how big it is and how much it scares smaller beings

It can only reveal itself to whoever it chooses to

It knows that it's blind

If you leave it behind it WILL get revenge

Has BAD trust issues

It was the first character for loto

I created it before loto even existed

It loves when smaller creatures sit on its shoulder

It's not hostile to humans

It can and will get attached to you if it loves you enough

facts about the Oracle (kinda morbid)

Sorta spoilers under cut

As stated earlier, it has the mentality of a child, and in consequence to that it has no concept of death or mourning so it spends a lot of time wondering why it's dead friends won't come back

It'll befriend one of the constellation, but it'll call them Orion by mistake

It has natural healing abilities due to being Apollo's child, however, it cannot bring back the dead

There is an afterlife here, but the immortals don't have access to it, but oracle has glimpsed it a few times in visions and longs to be there itself

It can feel it's dead little buddies near it sometimes

My vc for it is somewhere between tiresies (epic ver) and divine maggot
