JAckASS party~These dorks are really cool, honestly I never followed them at all before this shoot, didn’t know they were so mischievous, in real life, it’s not an act. It was supposed to be the whole gang, Knockville never showed up, I guess that’s why we had the gorilla-ass. Five year anniversary of the first movie?? The morning was mellow, Mcdonnals and Budweiser at 9AM, I think that was all Steve-O really. It was after we were done that all the fun happened. We were shooting at Quixote in Hollywood. The shots were done, then the dudes really started throwing all the prop cake and food all over the place covering Wee Man, who was now in just underwear. Well the all were in just tighty whities, covered in cake, beer, snot. They were directed to a shower on a different stage, but Wee Man ran into the big stage where Steven Meisel was shooting on a huge set of blk plexi floor… WeeMAn ran into the studio and across the set, slipping and falling all over the place. All the models are screaming, Meisel and crew loses their shit, everyone from the studio is yelling at me, in a nice way. I had no idea what was happening… I just loved the fashion crew's looks of disgust, at the punk rockness of it all. I will always be grateful to the team at FHM crew for giving me so many gigs. PLUS- I took Star to the new movie and after the bee’s on penis stunt, he could not handle it… we left. Swindle MAgazine FIRE STARTER party~ Shepard Fairey’s hard cover magazine. I was given this assignment, 5 pages of fashion over an xmas break in 2006 while I was in Green Valley AZ at my mum and dad's place. This old chevron gas station is right by their home. I would spend late nights while the family slept shooting background plates of the station. Not hassled at all, the station attendant only waved at “Hi”, at me as he closed up for the night. This only happens in Green Valley...never in the big city of NYC. Magic. Look, there is a little 1 year old Nomi Star crawling around on the cement. ALL MODELS WHERE SHOT IN STUDIO AND ADDED IN POST. I was lucky enough to have these two fantastic humans work with me on dorky Manson videos and Insane Clown Posse shoots. They made those images really pop. We had a lot of fun on those projects and I still and cannot thank them enough for putting up with me. USA TODAY + SUPERFANS PARTY KesselsKramer Agency, thank you so much for the amazing gig. Our assignment was to gather 4 REAL NFL super fans from 8 teams spread across America. Superfans are part superheroes, part cartoon characters, keeping their fave team and fans cheering..screaming and rioting...at these games. I have never been into the sports thing so this was all new to me. White background set lit by walls of LITEMAT LED panels. Video and stills shot all at once with 4 Cannon 5R’s, set in an amazing cage rig set-up. Two full dazes of shooting the screaming and yelling superfans, prop eating dogs, cute children, and full on jock jams. (“Eye of the Tiger” is now seared into my brain).
