Mañana mi bebé cumple 11 años🤯. Me parece que fue ayer cuando celebré su primer año. Hoy no quiere nada, ni video, ni zoom NADA de fiesta ni celebración. Ni siquiera fotos... Recuerdo cuando su cumpleaños era una ilusión de semanas donde elegíamos hasta la última servilleta... Hace tiempo leí este poema en inglés y me encantó pues resume lo qué pasa. Lo he traducido y se los comparto. ✨ La última vez ✨ Desde el momento en que sostienes a tu bebé en brazos, nunca serás la misma. Podrás añorar a la persona que eras cuando tenías libertad y tiempo y nada en particular de qué preocuparte. Conocerás el cansancio como nunca antes lo conociste, Y tus días se convertirán en días exactamente iguales Llenos de horarios y llantos, Cambios de pañal y alimentos, Lloriqueos y rabietas, Siestas o falta de ellas. Podría parecer un ciclo sin fin. Pero no olvides ... Que hay una última vez para todo. Llegará el día en que alimentarás a tu bebé por última vez. Se quedará dormido sobre ti después de un largo día, y será la última vez en que cargues a tu hijo dormido. Heading back to work has been an adjustment and will continue to be one. This baby boy is healthy and loved in good hands when I’m off teaching other people’s children. It puts things into perspective in a way I hadn’t thought of prior to returning to the classroom. I’ve had 2 students go home with a fever that past 2 days.
