Yo so are we gonna talk about how Cells at Work doesn't make the immune cells "Super badass grr grrrr silent protector" as their default personality? And how amazing that is? We know they CAN and WILL get down to business when the time calls for it, but outside of that they all have their own personality and traits. Even Killer T and NK, who are a little gruffer than WBC, still have moments where they soften up and we see their thoughts and motivations. Also, I love the fact that while NK does fill one of the roles as a badass female character, they don't make her mean or malicious. She obviously isn't feminine in the way the macrophages are, but it's not an issue cause all of the female or feminine presenting characters are by and largely respected by the other immune cells. And while NK does fill the role of the rough around the edges character, she never goes out of her way to harm anyone, and is still polite, kind and even a little playful to the people she meets. And WBC has a quietness to him that borders on shy many times, not written as a way to say "look he's a super strong silent protector but we can redeem his scary violence", but just that THAT'S THE WAY HE IS. It's a wonderful way to give life to characters who can sometimes have so many similar visuals, character build, AND story build as good way to transition into how other cells may view the immune cells, and recognizing the "why" of that.
