Precious moments ✨
As the evening sun sets over Wayne Manor, Bruce Wayne finds himself in the cozy confines of his study, engrossed in his work as the Dark Knight. Suddenly, a soft knock on the door interrupts his concentration. He looks up to see his granddaughter, Theresa Wayne, standing there with tired eyes and a sleepy smile.
"Grandpa Bruce," she whispers, her voice filled with innocence and trust, "I can't sleep. Can I stay with you tonight?"
Bruce's heart melts at the sight of his beloved granddaughter seeking comfort in his presence. He sets aside his work and opens his arms, welcoming her into an embrace. Theresa snuggles into his arms, feeling the warmth and security that only a grandfather's love can provide.
Gently, Bruce carries Theresa to the plush armchair by the window, where he often finds solace in the quiet moments of the night. With Theresa cradled in his arms, he sits down and begins to softly hum a lullaby, the same one he used to sing to his own children.
As the lullaby fills the room, Theresa's eyelids grow heavy, and she succumbs to the peaceful embrace of sleep. Bruce continues to hold her, his heart swelling with love and gratitude for this precious moment with his granddaughter.
In the stillness of the night, Bruce's mind drifts to memories of his own childhood, the lessons he learned from his parents, and the legacy he hopes to pass on to Theresa. He whispers words of encouragement and wisdom into her ear, knowing that even in her dreams, she can feel his love and guidance.
As the night unfolds, Bruce remains in the armchair, cherishing the weight of Theresa in his arms and the bond they share. The moonlight casts a gentle glow on their faces, illuminating the love and tenderness that exists between them.
In this quiet sanctuary, Bruce Wayne, the legendary Dark Knight, finds solace and peace, knowing that his greatest role in life is that of a grandfather. In the embrace of his sleeping granddaughter, he finds strength, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose.
And as the night gives way to the dawn, Bruce Wayne continues to hold Theresa, knowing that their bond will forever be unbreakable, and that he will always be there to protect and guide her, both as the Dark Knight and as her loving grandfather.
Just as the first rays of sunlight peek through the curtains, Bruce's phone rings, breaking the peaceful silence. It's Damien Wayne, Theresa's father, calling to check on his precious daughter.
"Hey, Dad," Damien says, a hint of concern in his voice. "I was just wondering how Theresa is doing. Is she with you?"
Bruce, still holding Theresa in his arms, assures Damien, "Don't worry, son. Theresa couldn't sleep, so she's spending the night with me. She's safe and sound, fast asleep in my arms."
A sense of relief washes over Damien as he hears Bruce's words. "Thank you, Dad. I know she's in good hands with you. Give her a kiss on the forehead for me, will you?"
Bruce smiles, his heart filled with love for both his granddaughter and his son. "Of course, Damien. I'll make sure she feels your love. Take care, and we'll see you soon."
As the soft morning light filters into the room, Theresa stirs in Bruce's arms. She blinks her eyes open, her gaze filled with curiosity. Sensing something is amiss, she looks up at Bruce and asks, "What's wrong, Grandpa? Why did Daddy call?,,
Bruce gently brushes Theresa's hair away from her face and smiles reassuringly. "Don't worry, sweetheart. Daddy just wanted to check on you. He loves you very much and wanted to make sure you're okay. Everything is just fine, my little angel🩷,,

George Harrison and John Lennon
Sean Lennon and Dhani Harrison
My mom says that when her kids grew up it was bittersweet because we weren’t little anymore. But when she became a grandmother and would see her grandkids, it was like “having a visit with her own young kids”, because she could clearly see me (and other aspects of other family members) in them.
I wonder if Paul and Ringo sometimes look at John and George’s boys and feel like they’re having a visit with their old band mates?
I know when I look at my friends’ kids I feel similarly.

days don’t get much nicer
Yesterday was a keeper!
Because our move is in a week, the grands wanted to see where we were moving, and to help with a bit of cleanup at the new place, so we got to play show-and-tell, and had a bunch of help to make the job easier for us. All for the price of a dozen donuts! 🙂
Our grandkids were down from Minneapolis for an early anniversary celebration, their 7th year married. They brought…
