This morning, I heard an excited, frustrated yip from Stella. I walked out in the living room to find her staring intently at #BiscuitMcGillicuddy, who in turn stared intently up at the top of our drapes. On the curtain rod was a little white-footed mouse! You've got to picture this. . . . My husband and I chased that little mouse back-and-forth across the spam of that eleven-foot curtain rod three or four times. My husband said, "Buddy, this is your best option. With me, you get to live!" . . . We finally caught it in a box and I kept my husband's word, taking the little guy out away from the house and letting it go. Cute little things. Usually, because they're so destructive indoors, they get the mouse trap (or the cat!).
