Investigating some suspicious doings in the basement of a kitschy-looking house in service to the Clue Club
WHIMPER, in his rather incredulous stylee, on noticing some glue mouse and rat traps on the basement floor: Is it just me, Woofer, or are the glue traps there for serious purpose?
WOOFER, getting to the point with his pupil: It may surrpise you to learn, Whimper, where such were set by the owners of these premi for logical reasons--especially, as I understand it, mice cut through some cable-television lines in this basement some years ago, and what's more, these lines are now the fiber-optic sort!
WHIMPER: Meaning, I presume, that mice can't chew or gnaw on them?
WOOFER: At least the mice in question here aren't Pixie and Dixie, by any stretch!
