@loyalandroid
"Shotgun!" He was always down for shopping with his friend. "What are we shopping for?"
“Clothes and tacky Christmas decorations to put in the fake HOA’s yard to piss her off” Caleb laughed at the otherwise harmless prank. “Anywhere else is up to you.”

for @loyalandroid / starter call.
combat training was important to the criminal detective android-- mainly due to the fact that he always pushed himself to be better and better. always grow and continue. you aren’t at the top of your game if you don’t continue to best yourself. maybe it was because all combat training was against PC and PM androids. Obsolete. they were trained to be police. not deviant hunters. not the wolves that would track down and kill the very beings that they were. hell, if he tried to spar with connor, it’d just turn into what connor considered ‘ bonding ‘ ( over his dead body ).
“It’s all I’m asking for. I want to see your combat skills. I need something -- someone -- i need a challenge. ”

SQ800.
That was how Heidegger wanted this project to be named – and the outcome of it. Something that was so brilliant and unique, that Loqi often spent far too much overtime in the laboratories. Far far too much. And he always left late at night with a skip to his steps – just to return first thing in the morning again.
But it was these late evening hours that he enjoyed most. When he could try the first tests with SQ800.
It was a dream come true – because surely nothing as incredible had been made yet. Artificial intelligence in a form that was almost too human. Sitting across from SQ800 Loqi marveled at the android for a moment, before he started his work.
The android had been placed in a metal seat, still connected to several screens and devices through cables and tubes that provided the android with mako energy and equally gave Loqi feedback on the screens about his parameters.
During the work and updates he was turned off for now. Safety protocol. But now it was time to see whether the new functions were implemented correctly. Leaning forward, Loqi mustered SQ800, waiting for the blue light on his temple to start spinning and for his eyes to open.
“SQ800, can you hear me?”

@loyalandroid asked: [shaken] 13
𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕟 𝕄𝕦𝕤𝕖 𝕄𝕖𝕞𝕖
13: was suddenly attacked
It was late. Not completely unusual for Connor, but he really should have taken a taxi. Detroit is a dangerous city even during the day, but it was even worse at night. Gang violence and seedy deals down back alleyways. Drunks leaving the bars, just looking for a fight. However, it was the start of Spring, the weather warming and the atmosphere feeling peaceful. It’s a path he has walked many times before, and he was more than capable of taking out any potential dangers.
It just seemed like such a waste to try to speed home to an empty apartment, preferring to just work through the night, but if Hank or Fowler found out he worked all night again, they would not be happy, to put it lightly. Apparently, he was an ‘HR Nightmare’. It does not look good if the DPD has their detective android working all the time with no breaks after a revolution giving them equal rights and freedom.
Connor knows it was his choice to move out of Hank’s home, and he doesn’t regret that decision. Since the revolution, he has lived with the lieutenant, and while he enjoyed his time there, he wanted to develop a sense of independence. He is considered one of the Jericho leaders, not that he likes labeling himself that, and the RK feels the need to show that he is more than capable of handling himself. Still, his apartment is quiet. He opted out of any pets since his hours are so erratic and it wouldn’t be fair for the animal to be lonely all the time like he is. At this point, he should have gotten used to the quiet. It’s been nearly a year since he moved out, yet he still makes excuses to himself as to why not to go home.
While that was all swirling in his mind, Connor had been too distracted to notice the men down the alleyway had seen his LED. It wasn’t until one of them tried to punch him that he turned and caught it, throwing the human back. There were three men, and a quick scan told him all he needed to know. They’ve all been arrested for some form of ant-android crime.
“Gotta lotta nerve walkin’ ‘round here, plastic,” one of them sneered.
Connor raised his hands backing away from the group, “I’m just out for a walk. There’s no reason this needs to escalate further,” he tries to reason. If he can avoid it, the RK doesn’t like to fight. He knows he could really hurt someone.
However, it was a trap. As he was backing up, another man was waiting in the next alleyway. At the last second, Connor turned and seen as the taser came into contact with his body, a garbled, static-filled scream emitting from him, his systems going haywire, unaware as the men moved in and started their attack.

@loyalandroid | starter 💐✨
There were few times in her life Aerith could be accused of snooping on her little brother. She only ever invaded his privacy when it was a matter of safety, from the mysterious cuts that amounted to him handling metal scrap with his bare hands to that time she thought he was screaming but actually it was just some stupid video on his PHS.
To find her creaking open the door to his room in the middle of the day was absolutely unheard of. It went against the code of siblings, not to mention there were a infinitely more places she would rather be in the world than her family’s private spaces.
Though on that day she was the first to arrive home. Incredibly early, all alone... so, the fact she heard some heavy footsteps coming from upstairs was the first sign that something was incredibly wrong.
It took her some scrambling to find the perfect weapon. A baseball bat belonging to one of her brothers. Probably Reno, and probably not the first time it had been used to threaten someone. Gripping it tightly in both hands she inched closer and closer to where she had heard the noise. Gathering all of her courage she finally made to fling open the door, busting into Loqi’s room like some hyped-up maniac. “WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!” she shouted, looking more terrified than courageous upon seeing the sheer size of the one who had been skulking about.

"I don't have to go back to the Empire?" That seemed to almost concern him. "But where would I go? What would I do?"
“You could stay with me, explore and see what you’d like to do best,” He answered. “But it all depends on what you choose of course. I shall stick by you regardless.”

Plotted Starter | @loyalandroid
Brigadier General Ulldor had been kind to the twins. More-so than that he opened his home to them, welcomed them into his family. They had only been small sprouts when he rescued them from an underground laboratory. The official version of events were that Lucian agents besieged the facility and the children needed to be relocated. Though that was largely the reality, it omitted why they were in the laboratory and what business Research Chief Verstael Besithia had studying them.
It had created a lot of extra stress for Caligo. He opened his life up for intense scrutiny, though he was an honourable man. Not once had he thought to take the easy way. To surrender Ariadne and Vergil to another’s care. He kept them close... kept them safe.
In that safety they found a new normal. One where they were permitted to be children. Their curious, inquisitive nature fostered by an education system that was new to them. Their adoptive father not only helped them, but he ensured they flourished, ever-encouraging them to hold onto their spark to acquire knowledge.
There was, however, one glaring secret.
Caligo’s own workshop.
It’s existence was known to them. Though they had been forbidden from joining him there, a secret space, one they never managed to budge his opinion on. No meant no and it was simply somewhere they weren’t allowed to go.
But their father couldn’t always be home. In fact there were plenty of times he had to travel away. And the twins had been more watchful than he was prepared for. Over time they puzzled what his security code was. Followed him right up to the door, asking again and again why they couldn’t go with him. While one asked, the other watched him input the code.
That was how they ended up finally stepping inside his workshop. The code had worked and their carer wasn’t any the wiser about their sneaking around.
Ariadne took the lead. Honestly, she didn’t see the big deal. This place was full of a lot of equipment and parts... in fact, it was a little upsetting, that he didn’t trust them enough with this. Then the biggest discovery happened. “Whoa.” the eight-year-old muttered, stopping dead in her tracks. That looked like a human standing there. But they were hooked into a station, like a machine. She crept up, startled a little when Vergil brushed her arm. She turned and gave him a shove, one that he returned, siblings being siblings — only, she stumbled into the idle man with a heavy bump.

The android gently set a plate of food and a glass of water down on the desk Barry was working at. "Hey big guy. I noticed you were hard at work on your script so I brought you some lunch." Which roughly meant that CC had been monitoring him and noticed he wasn't eating or drinking enough.
Hey, big guy.
Barry turned his head with an inquisitive eyebrow already raised, a smirk slowly forming to go with it. Aww, what? A sandwich, for him? Barry blinked at it and for the first time that day was starting to feel the chasm that was his belly.
“Didn’t have to do that,” Barry muttered boisterously, already reaching for the ham & cheese with his left hand. He did have a script open, page 4 of 15. 15 fucking pages, they’d given him. That was so much. “Thanks,” he said before taking a bite. Perfect, as Barry had grown to expect. Calculated, or whatever.
Barry pressed the back of his hand over his mouth to clean it before swallowing and speaking up.
“You really come in here just for that? You need anything, er…?”

“I'm sorry they’re like that.”
@loyalandroid
Simon shrugged, not having the energy to deal with the situation anymore. Humans were difficult to work with. Being declared sentient beings hadn’t changed that fact and it never would.
“We’ll get through to them one day.” He told the other with a sigh. “It may take some time - possibly years - but we will.” At the very least, PL600 hoped so.

@loyalandroid replied to this post:
He just plucks a hair out of Cloud's head and lays it on his tongue to run an analysis. "Actually it's a coconut scented shampoo, but your statement is not false."
“Okay... and you really had to literally eat it to come to that conclusion...?”

@loyalandroid asked: The androids LED turned blue as he was suddenly turned back on again. Having been previously shut off, he lacked awareness of where he was or what was going on. He stepped out of his container and looked around, taking in his new environment. His eyes landed on the stranger beside him then. He assumed the man was the one who turned him back on. "Sir." The android's head tilted curiously. There were no orders in his HUD. "Am I supposed to follow you?" (John Shepard)
It was moderately strange, having this android along on the suicide mission. John didn’t really know what to do with it. To trust it, or not. That was the question. Tali was no doubt going to have some issues with this. Hell, he might.
Instead of answering right away, John circled the figure, trying to piece it together. All the little pieces. “Er, unit, what is your designation? I’m Commander Shepard. I suppose you belong to me?” Oh, yeah, no. That didn’t feel right to say. Not to a machine that looked so distinctly human.

CC liked hanging out around Caleb's place. There was always something happening. He himself wasn't very familiar with cooking so when Caleb told him he was baking a pie, he figured he would lend a hand. Who knew? Maybe one day CC would need to bake a pie. It could be fun and he was more than willing to learn a new trick or two. Caleb had the recipe out on the counter, the two large androids standing over the small slip of paper to read over what they would need.
He burst out laughing at Caleb's comment though. "I think that's a recipe for a different kind of pie, Caleb. We're not making that kind of pie." Unless. "Wait. Are we?" He grabbed the slip to look at what kind of pie they were actually making.
“I know exactly what kind of pie a deep 9 inch is aiming to make, and I’m not starting on that one until Gavin gets home.” Caleb continued laughing and joking. “But you and I are making a sweet potato pie until then.”

“ i don’t trust anybody else. not the way i trust you. “
To have such a trust... from a mind that was so new and innocent, it rivaled a child, it felt... bad. It was an honor, of course, Loqi felt proud. And he would never do anything to hurt CC. But there was the potential to hurt him. Even when it wasn't his intention. Because trust was so extremely fragile.
“That's... good.”, Loqi said, trying to smile, as he shoveled another layer of the soft packing chips onto CC. It was time.
“Alright, CC... I will shut you off for a bit now. Alright? It is just like... sleeping. It needs to be done, so they don't detect your system working. As soon as we are on the ship and in safety, I will come and find you. And turn you back on. Okay?”

@loyalandroid, continued from here :
He almost couldn't believe it. CC had to re-scan the android just to be sure it wasn't some kind of mistake. It was no mistake though. It wasn't another model that looked like her or a mix-up in his scans. It was her. It was Chloe.
"Chloe!" CC immediately ran to meet up with the other android to make sure she was ok. She seemed to be a bit shaken up. "Are you alright? What happened to you?" She had disappeared seemingly without a trace. CC had asked around but no one had seen her at all. It worried him, but he had no way to get in touch with her, so all he could do was keep asking around and waiting.
After the march, the raids around the city started getting more intense than ever before. They weren’t just taking androids now, instead it was kill on sight. The streets were a warzone, but despite this Chloe still didn’t stay at the safety of Jericho. Just like in the beginning, she only came by when necessary, something she hoped wasn’t seen as selfish but regardless the few others that seemed to know her seemed happy to see her nonetheless.
Chloe went where she was needed, so to speak. While still on the search for her lost friends, she helped any deviant she came across, which is what often led her back here, to Jericho. This time, she brought back two with her, both slightly injured but would survive. That’s when she heard the voice call out her name.
Turning towards the noise, Chloe was more than relieved to see a familiar face, especially after today. “CC? I’m so glad to see you’re okay!” She’s already seen more bloodshed today than she would’ve liked, even her own. Whenever she had a few hours somewhere safe then she’d self-heal, but right now she couldn’t stay in Jericho. “I found a couple of androids caught up in one of the raids, I bought them back. Josh is with them now, he said they’re gonna be okay. I have a couple of scratches, but I’ll be fine.”
SYSTEM ERROR: CRITICAL THIRIUM LEAK. 74% THIRIUM LEFT AVALABLE. It was enough, for now at least, enough to get her back on the streets again.
She didn’t have the heart to tell him she killed a human today saving those two. She didn’t have the heart to admit it to herself...

Aerith knew the slums like the back of her hand and when she witnessed that first shove from a distance she knew exactly where she had to go to come to CC’s defense. She couldn’t have possibly heard all of the confrontation but the pieces that were loud enough, yelled by the Shinra officer, rang loud and clear. Her friend was in trouble and he was too bound by his own protocols to be able to do a damned thing. The way he still spouted propaganda whole heartedly and without any pause was more than enough for her to decide that he needed her help.
The company he worked for was a beast. It had teeth and claws and a dark rot grew from deep inside, anything good was something to be devoured and she had already lost one good man to those depths. Never again.
“You leave him alone!” she shouted, bodily shoving the officer away in warning. He had stalked close enough and the threats about putting CC in the scrap yard were a little too real considering the gun that the officer had. “Don't you talk to him like that. If you want to put him in the scrap yard you will have to go through me!”
Her head turned and Aerith threw a quick glance over her shoulder to CC who appeared to be too shocked to move or to speak. Her simply being there had probably thrown his system into chaos as he worked out how he should be treating her in this situation and what his next route of action was. For both their sake’s she hoped he wasn’t about to be forced into turning on her, she didn’t fully understand how he operated but she believed they had developed a strong bond.
She looked ahead to the gathering officers, three against one though there were likely more on the way. Her lips parted and she bared her teeth in anger when she was threatened to stand down and not throw her life away over from scrap. That tipped her over the edge and she acted before she could fully realise what she was committing to.
A metal pipe stuck out of the scrap beside her and she made quick work of pulling it free. The one in charge laughed and waved his gun, clearly amused that a girl in a pink dress was about to threaten him with a thin pipe. Her arm raised. “Thundara!” The laughter died out with a scream and barrage of curses. That spell cast had cemented the battle and she had one pissed off officer and two grunts falling into a line to prepare their own attacks.
