If we're talking about LPS with funny models I'm gonna show some of my favorites

Greyhounds just look like deer with paws

The only way I can explain that the chicks are funny to me is imagine putting eyeliner on a baby. Other than that I think they're cute

Hermit crabs just look like aliens with shells and claws

This open mouth corgie that looks so ridiculous that it's the only LPS thst has an open mouth that's this big.

I'm serious you can look up "open mouth lps" and this collie is the only one that pops up. I believe the utility of the design was to hold a frisbee (like this)

But without the frisbee it looks so silly.

Vet Med in Warrior Cats: Respiratory part 2: Nasal Disease (What’s up with Runningnose?)

Runningnose is a shadowclan medicine cat introduced in The Prophecies Begin. The other cats often joke that he is “a medicine cat who can’t even cure his own cold”. One possible explanation for his frequently runny nose is that he may have lymphocytic-plasmacytic rhinitis (LP rhinitis). This is an immune mediated disease that could be caused by frequent irritation, allergies, or a previous nasal infection, but the definitive cause is unknown. Cats with this disorder have frequent nasal discharge and sneezing and a reduced appetite, but no systemic symptoms. LP rhinitis can’t be treated with antimicrobials. Since it is an immune mediated disease, it can only be managed by drugs that modulate the body’s immune response (which is an explanation for why Runningnose could not cure his running nose). In a veterinary clinic, cats with LP rhinitis would be given steroids such as prednisolone or cyclosporine. Antibiotics like azithromycin are needed only if there is a secondary bacterial infection present. Other management practices like humidifying the air and avoiding airway irritants like dust and smoke can help reduce the severity of disease. Unfortunately Runningnose wouldn’t have much control over that. 

Another possible, but less likely cause, for Runningnose’s ailment is nasopharyngeal polyps. Polyps are benign, granulomatous masses that begin growing in the auditory tube and can travel down to the nose and throat. Polyps cause mucoid nasal discharge, but they can also cause more serious signs as they grow, such as difficulty swallowing, change in vocal sounds, and a respiratory noise called “stertor”, which is low pitched snoring sound during expiration caused by partial obstruction of the airway. Because of this, polyps can become deadly if not treated. In a veterinary office, a polyp can be easily identified and removed using gentle traction under general anesthesia. Provided a cat would be able to reach its paw into another cat’s mouth and retract the soft palate, they may be able to remove a polyp by hooking its claw onto the base of the polyp and pulling slowly and gently. Anesthesia would be preferred, but since these cats remove limbs with no sedation this wouldn’t be as painful.

Cryptococcus is a fungus that causes granulomatous disease in cats. Clinical signs of crypto include mucoid or hemorrhagic (bloody) nasal discharge and sneezing, and sometimes a “roman nose” facial deformity (which is basically a bump along the bridge of the nose due to the space occupying granulomatous mass in the nasal cavity). Crypto is treated by removing the fungal plaques and giving antifungal medication, usually fluconazole. 

Finally, another option for Runningnose’s runny nose is Feline Herpes Virus. I covered FHV in the first respiratory section, but essentially Herpes is basically ubiquitous in feral cat populations. Adult cats that become infected usually aren’t seriously ill or have lower airway signs, however the virus damages the upper respiratory tract which can allow for secondary bacterial invaders to cause more serious illness. The most common clinical signs include mucopurulent nasal and ocular discharge, sneezing, nasal congestion, conjunctivitis, and ocular ulcers. Runningnose is described as having “rheumy” eyes in The Ultimate Guide (2013), which could be taken to mean that he has ocular discharge. FHV is relatively self limiting and will resolve on its own without treatment, however the virus remains latent in the trigeminal ganglia and other peripheral neurons, meaning that when a cat becomes infected they stay infected for life. Usually, this doesn’t cause problems. However, when a cat is stressed, Herpes will recrudesce and cause the cat to show symptoms and shed the virus. If Runningnose is constantly very stressed (which is pretty believable) it is possible that his Herpes infection is always relapsing. Poor thing.

adeline wearing heavy goth makeup as a child is... kinda a mood

Here are all the LPS toys I'm keeping for myself (NOT selling) bc they have sentimental value to me. I will be displaying these on a shelf somewhere... probably near my g3 ponies I've kept. These all have been cleaned in a big batch in the sink but many need to be individually scrubbed again. Some of these ones look dirty and those are ones that will need some extra care before they are displayed. This goes for the ones I'm selling as well. Many of those need some tlc before they can be sold.

Okay so I'll go through all of these explaining why I'm keeping them and the sentimental value they have to me just cause I feel like it.

Here we go:

1st picture: purple ferret, unique multicolored dog with stars on its ears and other interesting details, a snow-themed husky dog that is light blue with some details in a darker blue. These 3 are very unique toys in my opinion. They are all very cute to me and besides the fact that I loved these as a kid, I also love them now and I think they'd look pretty on my shelf. Husky could use some extra cleaning for sure.

2nd pic: Pink Raccoon! Raccoons are my favorite animal and this one is reminiscent of albino raccoons, something I was very intrigued by as a kid and even now I find albino animals to be something really awesome and intriguing! I actually have another raccoon LPS toy I have yet to find that is black and grey, like a more traditional raccoon. That one I am keeping as well.

3rd pic: green eyed panda. This one has some visible marks on it and chips in the paint. That is because I LOVED this toy as a child and brought it with me to elementary school very often. We had an after care program at our school for kids whose parents worked later and we were aloud to bring toys so... I'd very often bring LPS toys with me and this one was definitely brought with me the most. This one has a lot of sentimental value. I did have another panda with blue eyes, but my lil sis wanted that one. She's 8, so perfect age for these toys :D

4th pic: hermit crab with some interesting details on shell, eyes, face and claws. I just thought this one was cool and would look nice on my shelf. I am actually open to offers on this one as I have another hermit crab that I was more attached to in a box somewhere.

5th pic: My chihuahuas!! These I'm very attached to because I played with them a lot as a kid and I would pretend they were sisters... So because they are sisters they are inseparable and will be on my shelf next to each other!!

6th pic: beige bulldog! I always loved this wrinkly little guy. He's got a very adorable face and I find him to be unique since I don't often see bulldog LPS toys (I may be wrong tho ... These may be more common than I think) and he has a lot more detail to his mold than most LPS toys I've seen. I love the quality of this toy, too. It's very well made and there's no visible mistakes in the paint on his eyes and paws. Also, he's in very good condition. Aaaaand I was attached to him as a kid (he has a gender for christs sake).

7th pic: brown cocker spaniel looking dog. Love the details in the mold on this dog. I've seen a lot of LPS dogs with the same mold but different colors and I'm always very fond of these bc ...they're just pretty. Well made toy and in good condition. It's def one of my faves.

8th pic: bunnies! Love these two but mainly the one on the right. Keeping bc I just really like how these look and I want some bunnies on my shelf!

9th pic: little yorkie with a lil bit of doll hair sticking out from its head! This one was one of my first LPS toys I remember getting. It came with some accessories that have since gone missing but the toy itself is in good condition and is one of the more detailed molds I've seen on an LPS toy. A lot of LPS toys have detailed molds, but some more than others I'd say. This one's a personal favorite of mine and I'm definitely keeping it!

10th and last pic: little orange kitten! I don't know how common these kitten LPS toys are tbh.. I had two of them: this one and a gray one. I kept this orange one and my sis kept the gray. We kept em bc we thought they were cute.

A little lonely panda finds a patch of berries. They're sweet and juicy and LLP eats a paw full, leaving red stains around its mouth. LLP looks down, noticing a tiny pink snail sitting on a rock trying to reach a berry on a low hanging branch. LLP extends a claw and pushes the branch down for TPS to grab, its tentacles wiggling in delight. They eat together in silence, LLP still pushing branches down for TPS reach. After half of the bush is cleared of fruit, LP - no longer lonely - sighs happily

probably Soulbound and Paws & Claws!

Soulbound just. just has absolutely gorgeous sets and the customs are so cool, and I’m just generally a sucker for fantasy and characters who learn to get along on a big journey.

Paws & Claws has the whole familiar, nostalgic “popular girl vs. new girl” setting, but as the episodes go on, the plot deviates from what is to be expected and the characters reveal a lot of hidden depth. I also just generally like the writing and voice acting

anyways funfacts!!

- i def mentioned this in his ref but he smells like banana popsicles! (specifically popsicles vs generic banana smell bc of a few intense childhood memories hehe;;)

- he does! wear clothes! m actually thinkin of commissioning an outfit sheet of him from an artist on twitter — here are a few good examples of his fashion

- he collects LPS animals! his favorites are a little hamster that eats an almond when u push its head down + a 2-pack of kittens in a cardboard box

- he rlly is a werewolf in that under certain conditions he can transform into his “real” form. otherwise he’s just a Marketable Plushie ~

- not only does his stomach glow when u press it, but he has a “heartbeat” — think the kind you can get in build a bears. when u hug him, u can feel it beat

- he LOVES music!!! anything upbeat he can dance to (he is very bad at dancing) (that will not stop him ^w^) Roll With Me by The Orion Experience is a gr8 example of his music taste!! (he’d also rlly like Nelward! esp fizzPOP + Hopscotch)

- it’s on his ref sheet too but Kass uses neopronouns! he uses he/him/his for convenience + bc he does identify as a boy in general, but he also uses wer/were/weres and 🐺/🐺s, so like: “that’s weres sweater, wer leaves it here all the time” “��� uses emoji neopronouns because they make 🐺 smile”

- he’s made of fake fur, cuddle minky, a soft flannel (his patterned paw pads), faux leather (claws, teeth, nose) + a sort of soft rubbery plastic for the glowing stomach — the main fabric is th cuddle minky; he’s made of an embossed minky w lil dimples, like this!

+ fr the last part of yr question, yea he does!! hes always “found,” in a garage sale where no one remembers him + the boy gets him for free, in the lost and found when a girl comes to look for her hat and, well, he’s in the lost and found for a reason isn’t he? couldn’t hurt if she took him home. he stays until his current owner outgrows him naturally, whether it’s a couple of weeks bc a newer, better stuffed animal came along or years and years and years— but when they forget about him, he’ll wander off n let a new kid find him.

as far as th dream thing works, well, he’s a werewolf! nothin scarier than that! it works on a sort of Lions, Tigers and Bears logic— nightmares are real creatures, and when a person is sleeping their plushies come alive and fight them off! adults are naturally less susceptible than kids, but it works the same! Kass has definitely come out w/ a couple of battle scars that usually get lovingly patched up (a mysteriously split seam, an ear coming off, etc) and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. his knee was from a really nasty fight, a kid who was going thru a very difficult patch nd therefore was kind of a beacon for bigger and badder nightmares. to th kid’s delight (and Kass’s surprise), when the hole in his knee was discovered, th mom was able to track down the same fabric as his paw pads online to make a patch for him! Kass wears that lil blue heart with pride!
