1. I would say my favorite football RPF ships are Thomas Müller/Manuel Neuer, Joshua kimmich/ Leon Goretzka, Martin ødegaard/Aaron ramsdale, Martin ødegaard/Erling Haaland and Antoine Griezmann/Lucas Hernandez.

Neuller was the RPF ship that got me into writing so that one is very dear to me, kimmetzka is one of the first ones I remember shipping, Martindale was the one that got me into writing long fics, I also tried non lineal narration for the first time for my Martindale fic, Martin/Erling is an anomaly for me but it has some pretty god fics, same for Antoine/Lucas. I also really liked Toni Kroos/James Rodriguez or Cristiano Ronaldo/James Rodriguez.

I would say my biggest unpopular opinion is that I dislike all ships involving Messi, but that's a me thing as I strongly dislike Messi.

2. My perfect F1 season would have George winning but not like Redbull is winning rn, I would like to see actual battles for the podium, this dream season would have Fred vesti on an F1 seat, less races (specially street circuits), I would love George to win his home race, same goes for Charles. Williams would get points more frequently, Lando would remain winless, Danny Ric would be fired, Liam would be back. Carlos Sainz would never touch a podium and George would be driver of the day a few times. In this season Oscar gets a win, zho gets points. And would end with George WDC as seb said, and constructors to Mercedes with a galex line up

3. I love watching video Essays! The last one I watched was about bio-power, bio-politics and homo-sacer, I love listening to people's opinions on either pop culture themes or something more related to my field ( I study poli sci and international relations) I also like cooking, reading and collecting pieces for my webs! Past days I've been ignoring my thesis so I spent a good amount of time on Pinterest plotting webs, I also like going to Malls and see new clothes, drink some boba and maybe have dinner with friends.

Santa Juana de los mataderos

Todos los que hemos leído alguna de las obras de Brecht sabemos que su dramaturgia buscaba “esclarecer, desenmascarar, enjuiciar la verdad” porque las obras de Brecht se contraponen a la idea de teatro copia o mímesis de la realidad. Y esto es, justamente, lo que el grupo Nuevodrama Teatro logra al presentar esta obra de Brecht: es decir romper la escena realista para que el público evite sentirse reflejado con los personajes o el drama de la escena.

Entonces si Santa Juana de los mataderos de Brecht es una reivindicación de la figura de Juana de Arco, la Santa Juana de Iñurrieta es una reivindicación de la figura de la mujer guerrera y combativa, de la esposa que se ve escindida entre aceptar un plato de comida de los verdugos del hambre y del cuerpo de su compañero quien fuera descartado como un pedazo de carne. Esta puesta de Santos Iñurrieta propone una Santa Juana donde la sociedad -y en este caso el público de la sala- se siente confrontado entre la supuesta deshumanización del obrero y la sociedad de un mundo capitalista. Entonces

¿QUÉ VEMOS EN ESTA PUESTA DE SANTA JUANA DE LOS MATADEROS?

Además del “comportamiento de los hombres durante esta crisis, la bancarrota de los grandes frigoríficos” observamos en la escena, una seria de dispositivos como cierta forma explícita de narrar esta historia o el uso de carteles o la música en vivo para cortar el efecto dramático o una forma distinta en el habla de los actores, todos procedimientos que, de alguna manera, generan cierto efecto de distanciamiento en el público. Estos mecanismos, además, se potencian con una escenografía en diferentes planos que enfatiza cierta idea de profundidad espacial; y un vestuario muy bien planteado y un maquillaje espectacular y unas medias máscaras que usaron unos pocos personajes como el complemento perfecto en esta puesta. Entonces

Santa Juana es UN GRAN MONTAJE

de escenas… de situaciones… de conflictos donde el espectador está todo el tiempo puesto a prueba en su quietud. Es

UN PÚBLICO INTERPELADO

Porque los actores van contando - mostrando su sufrimiento, nuestro sufrimiento y la mano que lo genera y la consecuencia que acarrea: el cierre del frigorífico y la desolación de setenta mil obreros que no pueden “vivir un día más con salarios tan miserables”. Y acá hago un alto porque creo -o mejor dicho entiendo- que esta Santa Juana no solo se torna actual por su temática de denuncia a un capitalismo feroz que arrecia con todo y todos, sino que además pareciera que esa denuncia nos remite como sociedad a cierta parte de nuestra historia local, es decir al cierre de la CAP. Entonces ya no hablo simplemente de una obra de Brecht, sino que hablo de una obra de Brecht que para la sociedad bahiense se vuelve palpable.

“Moonraker”:  A la Luna, desde Latinoamérica

Por Lucas Manuel Rodríguez.* “James Bond volverá en Sólo Para Sus Ojos”, prometían los créditos finales de La Espía Que Me Amó, en su momento la más costosa y más taquillera de todas las de 007. Pese a esto, ese mismo año Star Wars (1977), con una inversión levemente más módica, logró acumular una cifra superior a la de las siete primeras de Bond juntas, por lo que el productor Albert ‘Cubby’ Broccoli no se demoró en reconocer el potencial de la eventual franquicia competidora: postergó la secuela que había garantizado y se enfocó en una fábula que llevara a su espía británico al espacio.

El gran bombazo presupuestario

Con Moonraker (1979) se adaptó la homónima y tercera novela de James Bond (por Ian Fleming, publicada en 1955), la cual, paradójicamente, carecía de una línea argumental protagonizada por astronautas en ambientaciones espaciales. A esas alturas, los realizadores estaban enfocados en proveer una imagen que, en esencia, se sintiera lo más cara posible, al punto de que el presupuesto se alzó a 34 millones de dólares, una cifra insólita hasta para cada uno de los tres primeros taquillazos de la compañía Lucasfilm (las dos primeras Star Wars y la primera Indiana Jones). Esto se percibe en el film porque hay planos generales como nunca –incluso en los más claustrofóbicos aprovechan la contemplación de los enormes decorados-, como también dos extensas persecuciones en lancha y una secuencia inicial en la que Bond cae en picada sin paracaídas, momento que no terminó de agradarle a Cubby Broccoli ya que se montó sin efectos especiales, el equipo de rodaje cumplió su cometido con 88 tomas (para dos minutos de película), y esta hazaña costó más de un millón de dólares (valor similar al de toda la producción de El Satánico Doctor No y al de la base-cráter en Sólo Se Vive Dos Veces). Sin embargo, es una de las instancias pre-créditos iniciales mejor recibidas de la franquicia y además marca un primer gran acercamiento como director por John Glen: responsable de dicha secuencia por la que le brindaron el rol de director para los siguientes cinco largometrajes.

Operación Orquídea

No hay que hacer mucho rodeo con esto: Hugo Drax (encarnado por el francés-británico Michael Lonsdale) es el villano principal de esta entrega. Se trata de un industrialista que se apropia de una especia híbrida de orquídeas-amapolas (tomadas de la jungla amazónica) para componer un gas neurotóxico derivado de ellas. Similar a Thanos en Avengers – Infinity War (2018), Drax sólo busca la preservación pulcra de la humanidad con el motivo de equilibrar la naturaleza: incluso arma su propia “Arca de Nóe”, integrada por parejas de hombres y mujeres para elevar “una raza incorrupta con especímenes físicos perfectos”. El medio de transporte propuesto por este némesis de Bond son sus unidades “Moonraker”, naves capaces de ser lanzadas -desde una supuesta frontera entre Argentina y Brasil- por un cohete, de entrar en órbita, y también aterrizar como cualquier avión convencional. Así, las duplas son trasladadas a una estación espacial que opera como una ciudad entera gravitacional y es indetectable por radares militares terrestres.

Texas interviene

La agente y astronauta de la CIA, Holly Goodhead, es interpretada por la actriz texana Lois Chiles, a quien le fascinó la obscenidad de su nombre -inventado en la película y extremadamente risible por su significado literal “acebo buenacabeza”-. La agencia le ordena que mantenga a 007 con vida durante su misión de investigar el paradero de una de las naves “Moonraker” que había sido custodiada por los británicos. Chiles expresa una extraordinaria química con Roger Moore, pero es más que nada su participación establecida en el guión la que atenta con encasillarla como una de las Chicas Bond menos recordadas, puesto que la mayoría de las veces es alejada de los momentos de acción y siempre hay excusas para que no esté presente: atiende un llamado telefónico cuando James Bond está por ser asesinado en la cámara de entrenamiento de fuerza centrífuga, o es secuestrada por los matones de Drax.  El único elemento que siempre salva a nuestro protagonista de la muerte es el lanza-dardos pulsera servido en mano por la sección Q en los primeros minutos del film.

Frivolidad publicitaria

La secuencia del salto al principio marca también el regreso de uno de los antagonistas más queridos de la saga: Mandíbulas (protagonizado nuevamente por Richard Kiel). A la mitad de

Moonraker

, este es contratado por Drax para emboscar a Bond en sus –supuestas– vacaciones de descanso en Río de Janeiro, y no deja de ser una figura amenazante e imponente cada vez que confronta al agente británico en su camino. En realidad, esto es así en un comienzo porque justo después de un forcejeo en los teleféricos del municipio brasileño –captado a través de una puesta en escena fascinante, por cierto-, conoce a Dolly, quien se convertirá en su novia, pero inexplicablemente parecería que está distraído con ella mientras sí tiene tiempo para interceptar constantemente a 007 en las Cataratas del Iguazú (como si estuviera en más de un lugar a la vez), y hasta sus encuentros suelen terminar con despedidas penosas. No cuestionamos la decisión de establecerle un interés romántico, esa intención de humanizarlo no está nada mal, aunque el manejo de su presencia en la última hora se vuelve muy trivial, como si hubiera una obligación autoimpuesta de “más Mandíbulas” por el mero hecho de haber anticipado la participación de Kiel en los trailers publicitarios.

Dos despedidas relevantes

La undécima Bond oficial representa la despedida de dos de las más laureadas figuras de la franquicia. En primer lugar (quizás sea el caso más perceptible), tenemos a Bernard Lee, que interpretó a M, la cabeza del Servicio Secreto Británico, desde la primera aventura en 1962. Lee falleció en noviembre de 1980 a causa de un cáncer estomacal y fue reemplazado por Robert Brown, pero recién en Octopussy (1983) porque todo el elenco y los realizadores se mantuvieron de luto para la doceava película: Sólo Para Sus Ojos (1981). En la última escena que compartió pantalla con Moore, su M le aconseja al personaje principal que deje de seguirle la pista a Drax y se tome un merecido descanso. En segundo lugar, está la desvinculación voluntaria de Ken Adam, diseñador de producción de esta y otras seis entregas de 007. En esta oportunidad, Adam no se limitó a emular los diseños de 2001 – Odisea del espacio (1968) y Star Wars (1977), más bien tomó impulso a partir de ellos: incluso la técnica de la mesa y las sillas –muy inspiradas en la sala de conferencias imperial del film de George Lucas– que se hunden para despejar la zona de despegue de los “Moonraker” fue retomada para la elaboración de la oficina personal de Darth Vader en El Imperio Contraataca (1980).

Fue con Moonraker que, con algunos no tan notables altibajos, los presupuestos de cada nueva Bond se inflaron considerablemente. No podemos confiar en posturas basadas en monocausalidades, pero claramente el fenómeno de Star Wars marcó una pauta implícita con la cual la EON Productions no podía regatear. Esta es con frecuencia identificada como una de las peores Bond (si no la peor), en particular por el clímax espacial con dos ejércitos de astronautas disparándose con rayos láser, y aún así sostenemos que se redime en varios aspectos, fundamentalmente por su espectáculo visual. Como últimos dato de fan-fisgón señalaremos que el monto recaudado más de 210 millones de dólares, en el mercado mundial, no fue superado hasta que se vieron los resultados de GoldenEye (1995), y que en los créditos finales se agradeció al gobierno argentino –1978/79, durante plena presidencia de facto de la mano de Jorge Rafael Videla- por su asistencia prestada en el rodaje de locaciones cercanas.

Manuel wasn’t around for much of Luca’s early childhood, considering Luca was the product of his international love affair with his mother. Manny dropped in a few times, bearing presents and gifts, but it was mostly through Rocio’s storytelling that he became acquainted with his father. After Rocio passed, he and his sisters were tossed into his family dynamic in Spain. Luca is respectful toward Manny, but that is about as much acknowledgement that the older gentleman gets from his son. He heeds his father’s advice, taking any of his practical experience to use toward his future, but the two have a distant relationship. He hasn’t seen his father in about two years now.

Rocio was a rather bitter woman, but she cared for her children, and she wished to be a good mother despite all her shortcomings. She fell in love with the wrong man at a ridiculously young age, and held onto the notion he loved her back, never knowing he was married to a woman in another country. She raised Luca in hopes that Manny would return and they’re resume being a family together, though that never happened. She passed away when Luca was nine, and although he would never say it aloud, he misses her dearly. Despite all her flaws, Luca had always played the role of her protector, and he was devastated when she passed.

Unlike the other Torres siblings, Ximena is a no-bullshit, wry student with a chip on her shoulder. She has a big attitude, one which Luca was constantly undermining or poking fun at as they grew up. She chose to stay in Spain, where she is currently attending college for business.

esmeralda torres. half-sister. 19. aries. @cfesmes

Esme is practically Luca’s other half. The two grew up extremely close, and despite their different values, he trusts Esmeralda in a way he simply won’t allow himself to do with a friend. She is wild and sharp and reckless, but he loves her to pieces and would do nearly anything to make sure she was happy and safe.

Elena was a young, influential girl when Manny proposed to her for her family’s vast wealth. She is privileged and snooty, always preaching about her faith and the Torres’ sins. While she is vindictive and jealous, she desperately abides by the wifely role of obedience, afraid that Manny would move on to one of his other suitors if she pushed him too far. Still, she made it a point to make the Torres’ children a living hell, though most of it went under her husband’s nose.

isabela valiente. half-sister. 19. pisces.

Isabela is the most similar to Luca in terms of demeanor; she is lackadaisical and mellow, never having much to say besides a one liner here and there. She is an avid poet, and she constantly sends Luca cheesy poetry that he reads despite his lack of interest.

cristiano valiente. half-brother. 19. pisces.

Cristiano knows he’s desirable, and he owns it as much as he can. He is self-assured and charming, constantly using his demure personality to swoon suitors off their feet. He is noncommital and a tad insensitive, though his innately soft and romantic nature often lets his go overlooked.

miguel valiente. half-brother. deceased. 23. gemini.

Miguel was the most adaptable of all of Manny’s children. He and his father were close, though Miguel was self-aware enough to notice his father’s faults and even push the man to do better. He was goal-oriented and firm, though he was always patient with Luca, accepting him long before the other Valiente’s were able to. He had a dry sense of humor, though his temperament was something Luca respected. He was shot and killed about three years ago, and it had left Luca in a state of shock, taking him back to the unexpected and tragic loss of his mother as a child.

The most intellectual of Luca’s siblings, Angel is a lot more reserved than the others. He has the same aloof attitude as his siblings, but his focus is a lot more centered on his spiritual journey and intellectual growth than anything. He does not make an attempt to appeal to others, disinterested in most social interactions. Angel is incredibly self-disciplined, and practically all of his free time is used in an intentional attempt to elevate himself.

Arctic Hotel YAC competition

Young Architects Competitions is an international network of professionals aiming at enhancing architecture research and young designers’ skills. Since 2013 they have been organizing numerous competitions joined by hundreds of designers based in 100 countries.

The contests promoted until today have been supported by several international academic and professional partners with the likes of Automobili Lamborghini, Ferrari, National Geographic, Manni Group.

The competitions gathered prominent jury panels featuring, among the others, Eduardo Souto de Moura, Zaha Hadid Architects, Daniel Libeskind, Aires Mateus, Shigeru Ban Architects, Kazuyo Sejima.

YAC are currently promoting the Arctic Hotel competition inviting creatives to imagine accommodation facilities in Rovaniemi, Finland. From there, guests will be able to admire one of nature’s most wonderful phenomenon: Aurora Borealis.

There will be a total amount of 15.000 Euros in prize money for the awarded proposals and the jury of the competition gathers outstanding international personalities like Angelo Micheli (AMDL Circle), Rodrigo Duque Motta, Dagur Eggertsson (Rintala Eggertsson), and many more.

Arctic Hotel is expected to be a moment of significant international participation for combining extremely interesting and up-to-date topics and a well-esteemed Technical Committee.

Brief

Some places may seem straight out of a fairy tale, bu they exist in the real world. In some places, a blend of legends, landscapes, memories, creates something that cannot be described in words: something humans perceive but cannot express, something science explains but does not own.

Rovaniemi is one of those places.

Capital of Finnish Lapland, Rovaniemi is one of the few cities in the world located at a few kilometres from the Arctic Circle: legacy of people with colourful clothes and special traditions, reindeer farmers and sleigh builders. Rovaniemi is a place made of snow, perpetual dawns and dusks, and it is home to the dancing lights that shine in the sky during cold winter nights – the Aurora Borealis.

Home to Santa Claus- the Scandinavian myth that conquered the world through tales and folklore, the town of Rovaniemi had been considered inaccessible and remote for most of its history. Until last century, when it became the destination for visitors and tourists, who wanted to feel its magic and see the fascinating Northern Lights.

Today Rovaniemi is no longer a prerogative of expert travellers and explorers, and new hospitality models are necessary in order to protect the remote identity of this land.

An identity that is characterized by primitive beauty and harmony, and inaccessibility and the absence of humans greatly contributed to its shaping.

How can we make places like this accessible, as inaccessibility is a key part of their charm? What kind of accommodation facilities can combine hospitality and unspoilt nature?

This is the challenge of Arctic Hotel, the competition organized by YAC and Rovaniemi to create a place where people can experience the most authentic North, respecting its isolation and magic.

On Ounasvaara Hill, overlooking one of the most remote bases ever built, architects will have the opportunity to imagine a structure that blends with the forest, the snow and the sky. A place where visitors can find shelter from the freezing temperatures of the Arctic Circle, gather around a fire, and enjoy the rarest and most mysterious spectacle of nature: the Aurora Borealis.

Brief

Beer has always been a part of human history, from Ancient Egypt (where wages were paid in beer) to Ireland (where beer was the gods’ nectar of immortality), to name but a few examples.

Drinking a glass of beer does not simply mean drinking a beverage, but interacting with a millennium-old history, made of legends, religious beliefs and wisdom. It is a tradition that has been going on since time immemorial, that has come down to us through the work of the monasteries and that has now become an industry in its own right.

Although in the Modern era beer has been produced at an industrial level, today we are experiencing a shift towards artisanal production, in an enthusiastic celebration of taste and secret recipes.

In this spirit, Villa Zarri – one of the leading Italian breweries – wishes to follow the most recent trends of consumption by investing in an ambitious architectural project, which will create a top-quality space for craft brewery.

The centre that Villa Zarri intends to create, within a beautiful mid 16th-century villa, will be a sanctuary for all beer lovers – a place where beer tasting will meet delicious food, culture and entertainment, within the framework of architectural beauty.

Whether German, Belgian, British or Italian, every beer variety will find an ideal place here, a place for both fine palates and less experienced beer lovers. Architectural beauty, cultural events and entertainment will contribute to making the experience of drinking beer unique. Experiential Beer Garden will be a one-of-a-kind brewery, the world’s first centre dedicated to the age-old culture of beer.
