No Future “SOLO” Films

There had been demands for a sequel to the 2018 STAR WARS movie, “SOLO”.  But filmmaker Lawrence Kasdan has nipped the idea in the bud by claiming that Lucasfilm and Disney Studios have no plans for such a sequel.

You know, this is why I have such little respect for the suits at Disney and other studios.  I thought "SOLO" was a great film.  I had seen it in the theaters about three times.  After it was released on DVD and streaming, many had expressed regret for missing it in the theaters.  And there have been demands for a sequel.

But it will never happen.  Instead, the Disney suits are trying to pretend that the movie had failed due to its own merit, instead of acknowledging that their fuck up over releasing the film FIVE MONTHS after "THE LAST JEDI" had led to the film’s failure at the box office.  Which was a stupid move.  And they did this so they could release the godawful Mary Poppins sequel for the Xmas holiday movie season.  Disney Studios ended up with two box office flops in 2018.  One flopped due to a poor release date and the other may have simply been terrible.  I mean . . . the stupidity of it all.  

Someone had told me that Bob Iger was the only Disney official who had admitted the studio had released the movie too soon after "THE LAST JEDI".  The studio has a chance to redeem itself with a sequel and release it at the proper time.  But they refuse to do so.  Instead, they're talking about projects featuring supporting characters from the film.  FUCK Disney.  I am really this close to being through with its mishandling of the Star Wars franchise.

- I love star wars - I still love star wars - TROS was reylo - TROS was a very lucasfilmy movie - TROS was the hero's journey - some people just look into the sunset instead of riding into the sunset. That is the way. - I'm gonna see it again tomorrow ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have spoken.
