hi i’m back! i had to take a much needed break <3 trying to post every game when i was so behind got to me and it wasn't fun to watch anymore. because of this, i’ll only be posting special games (like when the guys play each other), record breaking games, and reslly any game i have the motivation to (like if it's chaotic and quinn/trev get penalties). i’m not pushing myself anymore i hope y'all understand🤍

and because there was a lot of tense feelings after this game for devils fans, i decided to make this post *mostly* about the millers

THE colin miller, number 24 on the devils, number 6 in my heart (his number on the stars iydk), scored not only his first goal of the season, 🚨BUT HIS SECOND GOAL, TOO🚨 pop OFF step dad!!! congrats on being third star of the game!

and OUR miller, mr. jt, ceo of shaking his head at my nonsense (he loves me), scored two goals 1 minute and 4 seconds apart!

WE GOT A MILLER DICK TRICK EVERYBODY! two from jt, and two from colin! 2 + 2 = 4!!

✨now for the accomplishments✨

my best friend, my lifeline, loser of the postgame mario kart competition, quintin jerome hughes, has best the canucks franchise record for most multi point games by a defenseman last night with his 69th (😏) game! I'M SO UNBELIEVABLY PROUD OF YOU, HUGGY BEAR! this is the second record (that isn't his own) he's broken this season, and we're not even halfway through! he also has the most points from all defenseman in the league currently! (10th overall!)

and demmer had his 100th career win tonight! we love a milestone!

and luke played, too! he was definitely there!

i’m so proud of the valiant effort and fight everyone on the ice put into the game tonight! especially colin! i love colin! go colin! i’ll be mailing jack your first goal trophy!

yourusername hi! the devils put in an insane amount of effort and came back from a three goal deficit at the beginning of the third. the canucks basically doubled their amount of offensive zone time and yet the devils still pushed through all their adversity and was so close in the end. you're dismissing all of the other players great work and play by claiming that just jack alone would've changed that. yeah, he probably would've made an impact, but the canucks have been in the top ten of the league all season and nico daws still held his own pretty well and stopped a good portion of their shots against a team that was top of the league for a hot second and was 5th coming into the game. every devils player played to the best of their abilities and there were some unlikely heroes, another thing you're dismissing. jack is my brother and i love him, but he is not the only player on the devils. it's a team. a team that came so close in the end with almost half of the amount of sog. don't dismiss the rest of the team. be proud of them all.

so the reader has been working at the canucks for a few years now and has become good friends with the team and great friends with quinn, quinn is definitely head over heels for her and has been trying to give her hints for a while that he wanted to be more than friends, maybe they finally get together maybe luke or jack who have become good friends with the reader as well but maybe they end up slipping up and telling her that quinn is in in love with her and she had no idea thinking he only thought of her as a sister, and maybe she goes and kisses him or something and they tell each other their feelings

yes! I love this. (she'll be one of the media girls) I changed it a little but it's good I promise!

Y/N's POV

so for a little background here, my name is Y/N Y/L/N, I'm 24 and do social media for the Vancouver Canucks. I'm born and raised in Vancouver so working for the Canucks is a dream come true. I've worked here since I got out of college 3 years ago.

I've formed close relationships with a few of the players like Elias Petterson, Brock Boeser, JT Miller, and Thatcher Demo. Quinn Hughes and I have formed a very close friendship. I'm the closest with him out of anyone else.

over the years of being with the canucks, I've grown very close to Quinn. we often find ourselves hanging out with each other after practices and games just getting dinner and watching movies at whoever's apartment.

the more time I spent with him, the more I realized that I have grown to have romantic feelings for Quinn.

we're very similar people, the quiet, observer type. very family oriented and driven in what we do.

this season, Quinn was named captain for the Vancouver Canucks which is a huge honor. the guys decided to throw a little party for him at Thatcher's house. they graciously invited me which I was quick to accept.

as soon as I get there, I go looking for Quinn. I bump into Elias and ask, "hey Petey. you seen Quinn?"

"you're boy is in the kitchen. he's about 2 minutes away from disappearing for hours and being a recluse. go rescue him."

I blush, "thanks."

they guys noticed my feelings for Quinn in the middle of last season, insisting that he felt the same. I denied it and said that we're just friends regardless of how I feel.

true to Petey's word, Quinn was in the kitchen, presumably hiding form everyone. he hates being the center of attention. it'a a trait I've grown to love about him. I smile and make my way over.

when he sees me, he smiles too. he pulls me in a for hug and says, "I'm so glad your here. save me please. these people are crazy."

I smile into his chest and say, "Petey sent me to rescue you. come on, let's get a drink and relax q."

he nods and leads me over to the drinks. he has his hand on my lower back, guiding me through demmer's house. we find ourselves some drinks and just stay close to each other for a while finding comfort with each other.

the guys call Quinn into the living room and do a few speeches in congratulation before we all break off and hang with our own people.

Quinn and I just stick to each other and giggle softly about random things we tell each other. many many many drinks later, Quinn and I are dancing together to whatever song is playing and he just looks so good. so happy and handsome. I can't seem to resist the urge I've had for a while to kiss him anymore so I go up on my tip toes and press a soft kiss to his lips.

it catches him by surprise but he kisses me back once he realizes what's going on. if it ends badly, I'll blame it on the alcohol. he pulls away and smiles, "I've wanted to do that for months. looks like you beat me too it."

"I've wanted to do it for months too." I say back in a whisper.

he smiles softly before leaning back in and kissing me again. there's a bunch of hollers around us causing us to pull away. we realize that everyone just saw us kissing and so I blush and hide my face in Quinn's chest. JT yells, "Huggy finally got the girl!"

Quinn says back quickly, "That's captain huggy to you millsy. anyways, we're gonna head out. thank you guys for this, it means a lot and I love you guys. I'll see you at practice tomorrow."

and with that, we graciously make our exit. neither of us are ok to drive so Quinn calls an uber to his place. his hands have not left my body since we kissed. we end up in the back of the car kissing the whole back to his place.

it's peaceful and quiet.

once we get in the privacy of his apartment, neither of us hold back. one thing leads to another and we end up in his bed, with no clothes. we wake up the next morning around the same time, tangled in each other. Quinn pushes the hair out of my face and smiles, "morning beautiful."

I blush and whisper, "morning q."

"so about last night?"

"yea?"

"what do you say me and you give this whole relationship thing a try? I've wanted this for months but I didn't wanna ruin our friendship or lose you." he says softly.

I nod and press a soft kiss to his lips. I say back, "me too. I'd love to see where this goes. there's only been you Quinn, even though we were only friends, it's always been you."

he nods and just pulls me into him and kisses me again. let's just say our morning was as late as our night...

Like it’s Penny’s biggest competition so everyone is in town her parents, siblings, her uncles and cousins came in town, Ellen and Jim, and the Pettersons everyone is there. And Penny’s in the middle of her routine and she gets really dizzy and she falls and breaks her ankle maybe she gets a concussion too. Everyone is freaking out. And when they get to the hospital they realize Penny hasn’t been eating. She’s been starving herself because her boyfriend told her she needs to lose weight. And Quinn and Elias are the most angry because those are both of her dads. Everyone is ready to to murder toxic boyfriend. But that’s also when everyone realizes she’s not ok. She’s mentally and physically exhausted.

The nurse has never seen a waiting room so full.

Penny’s mom was the only one allowed in the room so she went in to see her daughter, spoke with her doctor and came back out to report to the family.

When she emerged from the room everyone noticed her face covered in tears

“What’s happening?” Quinn asks, taking his wife into his arms.

“She- she’s not been eating? She wouldn’t speak to me but her doctor said the psychiatrist spoke to her and she’s malnourished, she said something about her boyfriend made her do it?”

She felt Quinn tense up and everyone else in the room got uncomfortable looking around at one another.

Everyone knew they didn’t like her boyfriend already but what they heard made their blood boil.

Her parents are crying, trying to make sense of what is being said.

In the silence Milo stands up, brushing his hands on his jeans

“Well if nobody else is gonna…” and walks towards the exit. On a typical day Luke and his wife would’ve stopped their son from acting on anger. He was six and a half foot tall and built of pure muscle.

Ryder, Otis and Ozzy all stood up too. Following behind the Hughes boy.

With her parents so upset and confused Mrs Pettersson took it upon herself to coordinate everything with the doctors.

“She’s just our little girl”

purely self-indulgent filipino!bobby + the rest of sunset curve headcanons cause taylor kare :

he was first reluctant to ask the band to remove their shoes but bobby didn’t end up having to. they saw the pile of shoes by the front door and instantly removed theirs without being told because “dude! we can slide around the house!” alex and reggie pretended they were figure skaters for almost two hours before hockey player (not) luke and bobby tackled them onto the couch.

reggie knows more tagalog than bobby and would smugly use his knowledge to his advantage. bobby reminds him that he only knows how to say horse in tagalog which reg counters by saying “mahal kita bobster!” bobby’s brain just logged off.

bobby pointing at things with his mouth and saying “ayun”, a habit luke ended up with too.

meals are eaten together, no questions asked. they made that mistake when they tried to sneak a box of pizza upstairs. mama wilson was not happy and reminded them that family meals are important. the band always eats together because of it...so imagine the night that he didn’t join them and alex, luke, and reggie died.

sunset curve would always add po at the end of their sentences when speaking to bobby‘s parents. his mother absolutely adores it even though it often sounds weird because it’s not always added at the end of a phrase.

bobby introduced the band to eraserheads, a filipino rock band. they did a cover of the song manila, which was part of the hotdog tribute album by eraserheads.

he ended up learning how to make turon because reggie and luke would demand their weekly dosage. he doesn’t understand how they’re not sick of it. alex preferred sapin-sapin and was willing to wait for his dosage because bobby doesn’t know where to even start with that thing.

there are three labelled boxes of pancit canton in the garage and luke has to keep reminding reggie to stop taking his share + whine to bobby about needing compensation for it. alex was the one stealing luke’s share.

bobby taught them what tf an asian squat is and they turned it into a game of who can stay in that position the longest while they attempt to push each other. bobby is always the first one out which ends up with him trying to tackle them all at once.

After winning her competition. Penny has a interview and they ask why her family wasn’t there and her smile drops a little bit and she’s like my older sister had a game they decided to go to it instead. She’s like it’s ok though the Pettersons are here to support me.

The interview is everywhere. All over social media and fans are seeing it people are wondering why none of her family showed up for her. The video comes back to Mama and Quinn. And when they see the video their heart breaks cause they didn’t even realize she had a competition let alone won it.

All the Hughes see it and their hearts break for her. Grandma Ellen and Grandpa Jim are not happy.

No because there is a difference between friends and family thinking your shit to an entire fan base.

The way the rest of the family sees it and it’s just sad.

Okay but I am in love with all of the creative ways that they showed that willex and juke loved each other though! Like I feel like a lot of media targeted to kids puts way too much emphasis on kissing and saying I love you until romance to kids look like teenagers getting engaged (looking at you descendants 3) but with BOTH of the major Jatp couples the emotional climax of their s1 stories is hugging!!! Like that’s so cute! And other ways that love is shown is through being willingly to make sacrifices for one another, and confessing love by saying that you care for someone! So tender, such good relationship modeling for kids.

Like even for the minor couples or romantic moments that we see like Carrie and Nick breaking up privately rather than the show going for gross public drama, like that is such a good thing to teach kids! And Nick being accepting and continually friendly after Julie turned him down! Like yes little girls and boys and Nbs if someone likes you and cares about you feelings they shouldn’t attack you for not liking them back. You shouldn’t attack someone for not liking you back!

Anyway I love Jatp! But I REALLY love Jatp as children’s media!
