Open Starter: @lunarcovestarters Option 1: Outside the Police Station
Tumblr media
Once the verdict had come in, Anna heaved herself out of the uncomfortable holding cell and collected her belongings from the front. At the door, however, she seriously considered just going back inside. Her sentencing might have been light--she'd been told she 'got off easy'--but she was starting to think she'd prefer to be in jail than face what was coming to her. The version of 'community service' she'd been given was, frankly, humiliating, and that it was for a crime she had not committed was just salt in the wound. There were plenty of things Anna had done that would have resulted in far worse than community service, so it had an ironic sort of sting to think some petty vandalism--that looked it had been done by school children--would be the thing to do her in. She had come to Lunar Cove 50 years ago to stay out of jail. This was the town where she'd gotten to start over, to finally stop running from the demons of her past and the many, many mistakes she had made. But now? The instinct to head straight home, pack a bag, and skip town was nearly overwhelming.
She blinked against the bright sunlight as she stepped out of the station. She'd taken two steps down the street when her purse ripped and her things went scattering across the sidewalk. "God fucking damn it," she hissed, bending to pick up her wallet while a few coins rolled toward the shoe of a passersby.
Option 2: Paradise Juice Counter
"I've been looking into spineless," Mateo was saying, his notebook in one hand and a juice in the other. "And I've got three suspects, right?" He flipped open the notebook--a cardboard, bound notebook shaped like a red couch and made to look like the Handy Dandy Notebook from Blue's Clues. On the first few pages, he'd drawn what were actually very detailed and impressively realistic sketches of invertebrates--though they were all done in brightly colored, glittery gell pens. "We got the octopus. Prime suspect. They're super smart, you know what I'm saying? They can wiggle out of anything! Masters of disguise and sneaking around. Real cool stuff. And they got eight hands so they could have held hella knives to destroy that couch with, right? But then--" he grammatically flipped to the next page. "There's the butterfly. They're small. They're flighty. Like the fae. Maybe they're mini fairies. But I don't know if they could have held that spray paint. their hands would just be real small, you know?"
Mateo passed his 'crime notebook' over to his companion at the table and waited seriously for their input. Ever since he'd spotted the vandalism and been involved in the arrests, he couldn't think of anything else. Of course, his investigation might have gone in slightly the wrong direction, as he was taking the word 'spineless' left on the crime scene a little too literally.

Baby, it's all I know That you're half of the flesh And blood makes me whole I need you so So take these broken wings And learn to fly
TAKE THESE BROKEN WINGS - PLOT DROP
TW Violence, Gore, Blood, Physical Assault
It was the first truly warm day of the year. The temperatures had reached the mid 70s (that's around 23°C for those who use Celsius) and, as the sun began to set, the warmth wafting in from the water brought along a thick mist that clung in the air, casting an eerie sight over the small Rhode Island town that only grew eerier as one Aiyla Baysal began her walk home.
The banshee had worked late and, now, a quarter past 10, the fae wandered the lonely streets of Sunny Harbor back to the small cottage she called her own. But, as she rounded the bend, the banshee found herself overwhelmed with the urge to scream. Collapsing onto her knees, a desperate and soul shattering cry rang out into the night. A warning that someone was about to die and someone almost did.
At the same time, across town, over in Celestial Hills, a doorbell rang for the past has a way of repeating itself and, as Meena Raja descended the steps of her manor, she found herself stopping short at the door. Her stomach dropped at the sound of a rather distinct thud and the faintest murmur of her advisor who was now coughing up blood. In less than a split of a second, Meena was at Aaliyah Rose's side. But, the damage had already been done. The Clan Advisor had been attacked. Aaliyah Rose's chest had been carved away at with what appeared to be a stake of sorts. Her now exposed heart still beating, but slower now than before, within her chest. Someone had attempted to rip Aaliyah's heart out the way Meena had once received Theodore's supposed heart in a box. But, rather than finish the job, they left her advisor on her doorstep with a note that read-
Your husband and his Council let me take the blame for their misdeeds and now your advisor will take yours.
But, if that wasn't bad enough, Aaliyah Rose would not be the only attack that night. For as the Fae Queen and banshee screamed, a masked figure made their move. Grabbing the fae from behind, they slashed at Aiyla Baysal's wings with an iron knife. Another blood-curdling cry broke from her lips as her knees gave out from under her. Her sight flooded by an illusion her attacker wanted her to see.
Rather than the misty streets of Sunny Harbor, Aiyla found herself on the Town Green back in 1992. A crowd was beginning to form around the coven advisor of the time, River Cassidy, who stood up on the front steps of the Town Hall, watching in silence as the crowd shouted obscenities and questions at her. How could this have happened? How could the hunters have gotten in?
But, rather than answer them, River's gaze locked onto that of the Supreme and Mayor, Yasmin Badawi, who was attempting to push their way through the crowd. "Either you tell them or I will," River warned. But, before River's could utter the truth, the clan leader, Theodore Moore, began to usher the crowd back- Everyone stay back. Stay back- while Yasmin acted as if River had gone mad. River, it's okay. I know you didn't mean to let them in. Just stand down. But, River hadn't been the one responsible for the hunter attack. She had been the only voice in the room who had urged them not to go through with it. The sharp pains in her head from all of the town's peoples memories she had absorbed for her Coven leader mixed with their shouting became too much to bare and, before anyone could stop it, River lunged at Yasmin. But, before the advisor could reach the other, Saskia Alders intervened. She grabbed onto River, using the strength of an alpha to hold her back, as the Fae Queen, Hazal Kaplan, casted an illusion over River to subdue her. They dragged her away. Aiyla watching through the vision as River Cassidy was taken into a backroom as the others decided what they should do with her. The truth, they all decided, would result in anarchy and chaos. A vote was cast and a verdict unanimously made to save their own skin. River no longer stood with them and, while they didn't feel that it was right to strip the witch of her magic given everything she had done for them (and the fact that she was currently holding all of the other residents forgotten memories of the attack in her head), they banished her. She was to leave Lunar Cove and never come back. The Alpha, Saskia Alders, would later announce that River Cassidy was the one to let the hunters in and had tried to attack them all. But, out of self defense, they fought back. River Cassidy was no more and would be pronounced dead the following day in the papers. While, the real River Cassidy lived on, out there, somewhere, having been sacrificed as a pawn in a much bigger game the leaders had been playing.
As the illusion came to an end, Aiyla's vision went dark. The fae leader collapsed on the street as her attacker vanished into the night, leaving behind a note of their own-
Your kind created the Catalyst and now every supernatural will pay the price.
REMINDERS
This will be the last plot drop before the event which is our masquerade event starting on 5/4. These plot drops are completely optional for your character to react to. We also hope these plot drops will inspire starters and different threads to be had between your characters. Please feel free to continue any plot drop threads before this and react to what you would like.
For the fae: There have been multiple attacks tonight. Any banshee in town likely spent the whole night screaming, having either found their Fae Queen through sleepwalking or woke up the next morning with a sore throat. If you are in the Fae Court, your leader has now been attacked. Also, written in the blood of the Fae Queen on both the outside of the Daily Drip & the Selvi house in Sunny Harbor is a note that reads "If you thought you saw the last of me, think again". A message from the Fae Queen's attacker who has been working with the Catalyst.
For all Vampires: Your advisor has been brutally attacked and is currently recuperating at the Moore Manor. Feel free to have your characters react in any way you'd like.
For the Council: Feel free to HC out the Council Meeting and discuss where the remaining leaders plan to go from here. As for Aiyla & Aaliyah, it’s up to you if you feel they’d be released from the Hospital to join the meeting or if they’d call in or sit this one out. Royce may be still out for this one as well.
For everyone else: Feel free to react to both the attacks and the foreboding message you may have stumbled upon in blood outside of your local coffee shop.
And, as always, we hope you have fun!

Oh. Oh no. Oh no, no, no. This wasn't happening. Technically, Rangi knew this was a possibility, but she'd never thought it would actually happen. This shouldn't be happening. She did not want to be confronting the leader of the vampire clan right now, not when there was a very rude word spray-painted with her can of spray paint and the very public verdict that she was guilty of the act of vandalism. But even after she blinked and stared for what felt like hours-- and was probably juts mere seconds-- the woman before her did not disappear and so Rangi attempted a smile but felt it twist into a grimace on her face. "I'm doing-- I'm o-- it's not that ho--" Sometimes not being able to lie really sucked. Like, really sucked. "There's-- yeah, yep." She gestured to the spray-painted word. "A lot to scrub still." She could feel the nervous words bubbling up in her throat, trying to pry her mouth open and work their way out. She bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from blurting them, but she was a fae and she was a banshee, and thus bad luck was inevitable, right? "I didn't do this, I swear!" It came out a lot more garbled than she'd hoped, but she couldn't help that, either. She was getting sweaty and her chest felt tight. "I mean I'll still clean it! Of course I will! But I didn't-- I don't think I-- I don't remember doing it, if I did. I'm pretty sure I didn't, though. I only sleep walk when the visions get really bad and I haven't had a bad one in like, a few months!"
Tumblr media
"You're alright, love," Meena promised Rangi, helping to steady the other as she lowered the parasol she had brought out for the fae to the ground. "I was just going to offer you some lemonade is all. That and a parasol. We have a bunch laying around the Country Club and it is a hot day out and it seems you do have a decent bit of more cleaning to do," She noted, motioning her head back up to the spray paint that still needed to be painstakingly scrubbed off.

Turn around, every now and then, I get a little bit terrified And then I see the look in your eyes
TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART- PLOT DROP
TW Physical Assault, Violence, Gore, Drugs/Drugged, Knife/Weapons Rohan Persaud, a Lunar Cove coven member, put all of the Coven witches in town's lives at risk to bring back Todd Miller. With the coven witches magic out for the next 24 hours, a Council meeting was immediately called by the Supreme, Poppy Reed. After briefing the other leaders as to what had transpired, the Alpha, Nico Castillo, wolfed out mid-meeting, leaving his advisor, J.C. Carvalho, to represent the wolves on his behalf. The Council then came to the agreement that on top of whatever punishment the Coven felt fit for Rohan, the necromancer would be kicked out of Coven and would be banned from joining any other organization, if they were to change species, as punishment for breaking the accords and as a show of good faith on behalf of the other leaders. The Clan will provide vampire blood to any current witches whose lives are at risk who would like to take it as a precaution, but it is not mandatory for any witch to take. The vampire blood is only an option presented to those who are willing and would want it. After the Council meeting was held, the leaders dispersed. The supreme called a coven meeting to deliberate on Rohan Persaud's fate, with the question as to whether the witch should or shouldn't be stripped of their magic being posed to the rest of the coven to vote on. Meanwhile across town, J.C. Carvalho headed over to the Ice Skating Rink to get out some pent up energy before he was needed back at the Wolf Den to prepare for the anticipated Eclipse. But, what J.C. was not aware of was how his protein shake had been spiked with wolfsbane. Midway through a coughing fit, a figure shielded behind a black ski mask came at him with a blade. J.C. fought back before the perpetrator could make a move towards his throat. The perpetrator slashed J.C's clavicle instead before running off with the blade still in hand. J.C. never made it to the pack meeting later that day. He was found an hour after the Eclipse, still in wolf form having passed out due to the severity of the injury. He was immediately rushed to the Hospital and it seems likely he will make a full recovery.
REMINDERS
In anticipation of our next event, we will be dropping plot drops like these every other week or every week. These plot drops are completely optional for your character to react to, but will be dropping crucial tidbits that will be building up to the event to come. We also hope this new series of plot drops will inspire starters and different threads to be had between your characters.
It's a Solar Eclipse!: With the moon covering the sun, werewolves, you will be required to shift. You will only be in wolf form for the hour timeframe the sun is blocked, but the pull of the moon will be far stronger and very few wolves will be able to maintain control in this state. All wolves are advised to head to the Wolf Den for the allotted time frame whether you are part of the pack or otherwise for your own safety and for the safety of others. Likewise, for sirens, you will also need to shift into your mermaid-esque form. You will struggle with control and have a desperate desire to sing and lure any unsuspecting individuals in the surrounding area into the water. All sirens, whether they are part of the Fae Court or otherwise, are advised to head to the Fae Ring so that they can safety sing within the Fae Ring's pools. Banshees will be prone to sleepwalking, so be careful not to dose off. Non-coven witches with water manipulation will feel the pull of the moon and will have an urge to use their water magic (also dark magic witches who want to perform blood bending, now is the time). While the sun is blocked out, vampires will be able to walk around outside without needing protection from the sun in the form of daylight rings or parasols, but the moment even a partial amount of sun is showing, the sun will be 10 times stronger and be able to burn a vampire's skin even with the use of a magic ring (daylight ring vampires will get sunburnt, none daylight ring wearing vampires will be at risk of catching fire). While humans, will be advised to stay inside or head over to the newly opened Interstellar Planetarium where they can safely watch the Eclipse without staring directly at the sun or risk being attacked.
Calling All Coven Witches: On top of the eclipse, your magic is still temporarily out and you have now learned that, your life may be at risk and one of you, because of Rohan's actions, may die soon. It is up to you how you want to proceed or who you'd like to inform. You will also need to all vote to deliberate on Rohan's fate.
You can have your characters react to any aspect of the below IC. There is the fate of the coven witches, the fate of Rohan Persaud, Todd Miller coming back from the dead, the chaos of a solar eclipse, and the mystery of who attacked JC. The perpetrator seemed to follow JC from the Council Meeting. But, was JC the original target? Could this attack be the Catalyst's doing? Silas? Or someone else entirely? and, as always, big plots should be discussed with the admins before playing them out on the dash, so if you have any big plots you want to do, please let us know.
If you have any questions on the above please feel free to reach out.
Last by not least, we hope you have fun!

M-I-C- See You Real Soon K-E-Y Why? Because We Love You. M-O-U-S-E.
TODD OFF THE PRESSES- SNOW IN PLOT DROP
Perhaps presumption or hubris alone had allowed Rohan Persaud to consider himself a beacon—a torch for wayward spirits to follow home. But Lunar Cove needed more light, he had, by now, decided, and emerging from the shadows of the New Year, the witch had resolved that light was the very thing on which he would focus in 2024. Maybe, then, he could strive to follow it himself toward brighter days, toward celebrations of the mundane, toward genuine friendship, toward love, toward happiness, and most of all, toward forgiveness, a true letting go of anger, of fear, and of bitterness. He was only having intermittent success at this endeavor, but as he sat that night at his dining table, surrounded by candlelight, casting flickering orange slats on a faded Mickey Mouse hat, he tried, even now, to focus on this resolution. He could forgive Todd Miller for taking up residence temporarily in his body; it was, after all, not the guy’s fault. And being bound to a Halloween costume for eternity was a more hellish fate than anyone deserved. At the very least, Rohan supposed, he could try to undo those bindings rather than add the ghost to the array of other haunted objects sitting on his shelves. He might not be able to free Todd from this earth, but he could let him experience the adventure that was the astral plane. The raising of spirits was not a complicated matter. But this spell was. It was new. It was different. It was unpracticed, foolish, reckless in all its good intentions, as though he could really simply order Todd to be free the way he had ordered the Crackling Man to freeze and do no harm that Halloween night. But Rohan had found it in his own research, hidden in a dusty old book, an untying of undead knots. But such tethers were strong, he was realizing, stronger still surrounding an object worn at a death itself. It was not until Bustopher yowled, it was not until he could smell the familiar hint of ashes at his nostrils, a tell-tale sign of a more a vile ghost always watching, it was not until he felt a rush with which he was too familiar and strove to never attempt again that Rohan wished he had approached Poppy first. Everything was quiet. He stumbled through his apartment, overwhelmed, landing in the coat closet he had fashioned into a mirrored psychomanteum to see, in the dark, that his eyes were blackened. Bells chimed somewhere in his apartment, a telltale sign of a door opening on its own. And all at once, standing there was another young man, frazzled, wide-eyed: Todd Miller himself, back from the dead.
Hot off the presses- Rohan Persaud, a Lunar Cove coven member, used dark magic without having any of the coven members consent to bring Todd Miller back from the dead. As you all know by now, dark magic requires a cost and, for a coven member to bring the dead back to life, a life must be paid in return. You won't know when or how, but at some point, one of the existing coven members will die. Leaving the coven will not exempt you from this fate. New members who join the coven will also be safe. This will ONLY affect current members who were in the coven at the time of the spell.
Calling All Witches: Your magic has temporarily gone out once again. For the next 24 hours, you will be unable to perform any spells or magic and will be unsure why. Poppy Reed, the supreme, will need to deliberate Rohan's fate with our new Coven advisor, Royce Van Doren III. If you are part of the coven, be prepared. A meeting will likely be held to decide/announce Rohan's fate (plot drop for this to come).
Calling The Council: A member of the dead has been brought back to life. In turn, the accord #1, no killing of any supernatural creatures or humans unless proven without a reasonable doubt of being in an act of self defense, will be broken. A meeting will be held to discuss (plot drop for this to come).
For everyone else: Your characters may or may not be directly affected if they happen to have interacted with Todd in the past or have interacted with Rohan. For now, we ask that your characters are unaware of what happened until informed as such IC, though a plot drop will occur in a week where it will become public knowledge so please hold off on having your characters find out till then. The other species aren't affected as of yet given that their lives are not on the line or at risk, but feel free to react and interact with threads as they unfold.
If you have any questions on the above please feel free to reach out.
Last by not least, we hope you have fun!
(Also, shoutout to Ted who wrote the top two paragraphs - the unbold part - of this plot drop. You're an MVP and we look forward to seeing how this plot you brought to us plays out).

We didn't start the fire It was always burning Since the world's been turning
WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE - PLOT DROP
TW Fire, Violence, Injury, Weapons, Burns A week had past since the Coven & Council both deliberated on Rohan Persaud's consequences for performing dark magic. The Coven decided to strip Rohan of his spirit raising inherent ability and kick him out of the Coven, while the Council agreed to ban Rohan from ever joining another faction as a show of good faith and as a consequence for the breaking the accords. A ceremony was held privately with Rohan and the supreme, Poppy Reed, when the witches magic was restored. Rohan is now a non-affiliated witch who is left with only two inherent abilities as opposed to four. But, things have hardly calmed down for this not so quaint seaside town. The time was clocked at 2:52am when a fire broke out at Starlight Bar. The only patron at the bar at the time was one Royce Van Doran III. The advisor to the Coven had swung by the bar as it neared the end of the night to check in on the Supreme and discuss revisiting the ruling for Jasmine St. Claire who had performed dark magic to bring Poppy Reed back to life the previous year. While the two witches were chatting, Poppy decided to pop across the street to pick up another pack of cigarettes and some snacks for the both of them to take up to her apartment upstairs. Royce hung back to keep an eye on the bar. But, during the fifteen minutes that it had taken Poppy to pop across the street and back, a mysterious black van was caught on security footage parking in the back alley way of the bar. Minutes later, the building was set aflame. The alarms called the fire department to the scene and they were able to rescue Royce from the building and put out the flames before the damage was too bad. Though, Royce was quickly rushed to the hospital and is now in urgent care to access his burns. This is the second advisor to be attacked in the span of a week. Though, the authorities have reason to believe that the primary target wasn't Royce Van Doran III but the Supreme, given where the attack occurred and how the previous two attacks seem to be mirroring the 2022 murders of the previous Council Leaders. Another Council meeting was quickly called into affect. But, as the leaders who were able to attend began the meeting, there was a knock on the door from the Town Clerk. The Council had received a letter cut from newspaper clippings of articles dating back to 1992 which said- This is not the first time an advisor has taken the fall for their Supreme. If you think what has happened is a tragedy, you'd be right. The advisors were a catalyst, but how many witch hunts will there be until the true sinners pay the price? If one thing is for certain, the Catalyst is back and is hellbent on making sure that the past doesn't stay buried in the past.

For the Council: Feel free to HC out the Council Meeting and discuss where the remaining leaders plan to go from here. As for J.C. & Royce, it's up to you if you feel they'd be released from the Hospital to join the meeting or if they'd call in or sit this one out.
For everyone else: One of the few bars in town is now temporarily closed for repairs. The tragedy. Only the inside was damaged, so Starlight Bar will open back up and will resume business, but for now, looks like you've got to find somewhere else to drink.
And, as always, we hope you have fun!

The scent of purple and sugar made sense now. Ralph. Not that she wasn't happy to see him, she just hadn't really wanted this to be an interaction she had with him outside of the morgue. She was technically his superior, despite him having worked there longer and probably been around dead bodies longer. She didn't know his whole schtick, but she knew he was of the undead variety. It was just one of those things one learned from working in such close proximity to someone. And it wasn't like either of them were keeping themselves secret. Rangi liked to tell everyone she met she was a banshee, if only to prove to herself that she wasn't ashamed like her mother about what she was. "I'm good," she finally answered, scrunching her nose up at the sugar laced tabaco stick. "It's fine, Ralph. Honestly, I'd prefer the cadaver talk..."
At least Rangi knew where she stood with that, with them, with him. He was a good worker and he was helpful and that was all that really mattered to Rangi. She didn't need small talk.
Her head shot up. "I-- I didn't! Do this! I didn't do this! I wouldn't waste hospital supplies like this! It's-- it's unprofessional! And I'm lucky the hospital director only suspended me for a week with no pay. It could've been much worse...They stole an embalming mask..." She grumbled that last part mostly to herself. Didn't whoever did this know how expensive those things were?

Ralphie walked through the grounds in a cloud of smoke, keeping his dedicated path like an aircraft emerging from his own funnel of self-produced haze. Some of his newer, hipper friends had introduced him to the miraculous world of vaping, cigarettes on which a person could respectfully chomp indoors. And really, he felt he deserved no judgement for wanting to do just that. After all, people used to smoke everywhere.
Likewise, it was not like his bad habits could actually harm, much less kill, him. Still, Ralph was not actually sure if he could get in trouble or not for stinking up the country club. But while he was absolutely keeping an eye out for any official persons who might tattle on him, he still managed to collide with Rangi.
"You're cool. You're cool. Don't flip your lid, hotshot." He offered a cool unbothered nod, blowing his smoke over his shoulder before dutifully tucking the pen into his pocket. The vampire looked back with a smile. "How goes it? Say, you wanna hit? It's swell. Tastes like grape." Ralph seemed to think better of the offer as soon as he made it. "Or not. I'm sorry. We just usually talk about bodies in passin' and shit at work, you and me, ya dig it? And I dunno how to make country club crime scene small talk. Heard it was skin spray, though. That shit's a motherfucker to come off. You need any extra elbow grease?"
He rolled up a sleeve as if perfectly willing to go help scrub something. "I get why everyone's mad, but maybe it was also kind of cool and rebellious and stickin' it to the man. Why'd ya do it?"

BREAKING NEWS - INCOMING PLOT DROP #4
The Council's decision is in. For those of you who haven't been keeping up with the local news, over the past few weeks, every Supernatural Headquarters outside of the Fae Court have been broken into and vandalized. Today, Sheriff Cavanaugh finally released a statement declaring the case of the HQ Break Ins closed. The Culprits were a group of disgruntled fae, being made up by Wilhelmina Fitz, Anna Donnelly and Irirangi Hira. With the culprits caught, the Council met to deliberate. The Council has decided that, given the Break Ins were the acts of petty vandalism and no one was hurt, they would let Anna Donnelly and Irirangi Hira, the two fae court members, off with community service. Anna and Rangi will be responsible for cleaning up their respected vandalism and be on clean duty during the upcoming event, spanning the duration of five days of community service each in total. They have now been released and are allowed to return home. This also means that, with the case now closed, the Council has decided to go forwards with the town Renaissance Faire as planned. Anna and Rangi will be expected to don in-theme attire as they pick up after the rest of the town goers at the Ren Faire as punishment. Billie Fitz's fate, on the other hand, rests with the Human Coalition. With the Council letting both Anna and Rangi off the hook with community service, they recommend the same fate for Billie. But, it is up to you to decide. The Human Coalition can chose to give Billie the same fate as the other fae or a more severe fate up to their own making, but they are not allowed to give her a punishment less severe than the punishment given to Anna and Rangi. What punishment will you choose for Billie?
REMINDERS
This is our fourth plot drop in the series of plot drops we will be having this month! The last plot drop before the event will take place as soon as the Coalition verdict is in, so please keep on the lookout for that.
These plot drops are not mandatory, so if you’d prefer to not react to the above, you don’t have to. But, we do strongly encourage you to write open or private starters if you so choose.
The tag for this plot drop is lunarcoveplotdrop4. If you do react to any of the above, we ask you please tag everything under this tag.
We will be continuing to incorporate our volunteers into posts like these throughout the upcoming weeks.

Option 1
Bex had been too shocked by the news of Billie getting arrested for a crime to even consider going to the police station to visit her and it was making the guilt that she kept hidden in her stomach eat away at her own insides. Billie was home now, though, which was nice, even if she was still being convicted. And even worse, now Anna had been arrested, too, and Bex felt a little bit like her entire world was falling apart. Enough to where her hands wouldn't stop shaking and she couldn't sleep and she felt like she had to do something even if there really was nothing that she could do, technically.
The police station still scared her more than she wanted to admit and she found herself stuck outside of it, chanting to herself about how much of a fucking coward she was for not being able to go inside. She was just about to turn around and leave and pretend like she'd never even tried the futile mission when the door swung open and out came Anna. Bex would've been happy to see her had the circumstance not been what it was. Bex didn't think Anna even saw her as she stormed from the station and down the street, stopped only when her purse ripped open and Bex flinched. A few coins rattled to the ground and rolled to a stop against her shoe. She bent down to pick it up and held her hand out to Anna. "I'm...are you-- you were released?"
