Che cos'è un lurcher? Un cane per essere classificato come lurcher deve essere almeno 75% levriero. Può essere sia un mix di sole razze levriere o 3/4 sangue levriero incrociato con un terzo di un’altra razza specifica come un collie, bedlington, pastore, bull terrier etc. La selezione è stata fatta per migliorarne la qualità di cane da caccia. LARRY è un magnifico lurcher arrivato in rifugio prima di natale 2019. Arrivato in stato di trascuratezza, è stato rimesso in sesto da pulizia dentale, buon cibo, cura del manto e molte coccole fino a diventare lo splendido lurcher di cinque anni che è adesso. Larry ha un carattere splendido, è molto amichevole con tutti i cani, sia grandi che piccoli. Con i gatti non è compatibile al 100%, ma nessuno è perfetto ; ) E' un cane estremamente intelligente e non avrà alcuna difficltà ad abituarsi alla vita domestica, è volenteroso e gli piace compiacere gli umani. E' già sterilizzato e prontissimo per partire una volta trovata una buona adozione. Sarà un ottimo compagno di passeggiate. This is Tonks the first day she was found vs what she looks like now. @bo_thelurcher tagged me to mention 5 facts about us. I'm going to do 5 facts about each of my guys. HARRY 1)When I went to the shelter the day I met Harry I said I didn't want a sight hound, he was the only dog that got along with my dog at the time. The reason I love sighthounds is because of how wonderful he is. 2)Harry was found as a stray, he was called Leroy in the shelter and was around 7 when I homed him. 3)A DNA test came back that Harry is half greyhound half American Staffie.. Look at the big head. 4)Harry loves attention, from everyone! We snuggle on the sofa all the time. 5)Harry is the ultimate food thief, packets/jars are all easy! I've even had a tug of war over a bread roll. DRACO 1)Draco was found as a stray on boxing day 2015, hence why the shelter called him Snowy. 2)He was close to being called Falcor after the luck dragon in never ending story. 3)Draco is the master of tricks, his favourite is beg and roundabout, he uses me as a roundabout! 4)Draco is the only one of my three dogs that barks 5)Draco HATES cats MIA 1)Mia doesn't have a single tooth, hence why her tongue always hangs out. 2)I looked up her history, she raced 75 races, won 16 and her birthday is 13th Jan 2004, which makes her a Capricorn like her mum. 3)Mia may look like butter wouldn't melt, she's a cheeky little madam who tried stealing cheese out of the fridge, she couldn't get it because her lack of teeth. 4)She has to rest her feet on the nearest person/dog when she sleeps. 5)She gets carried up stairs every night because she can't climb stairs, but won't sleep down stairs by herself.
