Pup went and got her QC this weekend (Qualified courser). Chased that lure like she's been doing it her whole life. She ruuns in her first ever open tomorrow, and again in the next weekend. I couldn't be more proud of her; please enjoy this video of full on lure coursing!
Lure coursing practice this weekend. The child has graduated to running half the course!
I need to come up with a better catching system. It's twice now that he's brought me to my knees and dragged me a few feet because he doesn't want to stop murdering the plastic bag. XD
A Facebook group I follow has a bunch of people sharing the ribbons they earned this year with their dogs. I definitely didn’t think we had this many and it makes me feel a little better about our journey.
My personal favorite is his B match Best Adult in Show! Not the flashiest but that was a major highlight of that weekend! I wasn’t able to find a few of them but his grand total is 68 ribbons 🏆
Holy shitballs. On his field debut, Stoli tied for first against a race bred male whippet and lost in the run off by one freaking point. This was a field of 23 whippets, which made a 5 point major.
So Stoli now has 3 points towards his field championship on his field debut!!!!! He is so amazing!
I forgot to post this!!! Her prelim course back in April for her re-debut. A very good run, and even though she did run out of gas partway through, she didn't give up ❤
We had a very busy weekend. Our first UKC Total Dog event.
I told Kermit he might as well earn his keep since we were here, and he pulled a Group 1! Even better-- he actually had a good time and was very bouncy and playful in the BIS ring! (He only growled a little when being examined, so I'll take it. XD)
Zaku was amazing and blasted through his lure coursing runs to earn his CAT title. Then he got Best in Breed in the show ring against a champion malinois, and got Group 2 in a very full Herding Group. This earned him his very first UKC Total Dog! Way to go baby dog!
