This time last year was the last week Layla was alive.

I got to meet Misty of @whippetcrimes and her people this weekend at the whippet National Specialty! Misty and Stoli became BFFs quickly. Misty looked awesome running! I'm so glad we got to coordinate

Well. Here she is. Name from the breeder: Daisy. We are going to change it. But so far, not sure about a fitting name.

Characters being compared to dogs always use terriers or pitbulls or something for their metaphors. “They grab on and they don’t let go” “They keep worrying at it until it’s dead” etc.

Anyway, I want to see collies used as metaphors. Albert Payson Terhune style. “He was like an attack dog–making slash-and-run attacks, cutting them up worse every time, never staying in range long enough to get hurt but circling back over and over.”

I really don't know why, but posting on Facebook makes me feel physically ill with anxiety. It's been like this for a while but gotten worse the past few months. After putting a timer on the website, I find myself getting on less and less. I do wish I knew why I felt sick with anxiety about posting or interacting w people on there. i have to keep my account to stay in contact with dog people and events, unfortunately. Social media in general has been sapping my strength a lot. I'm dreading the whippet National that starts this weekend. I'm dreading May 5th. :(

Me and my BFF saw AJR in Charlotte last week and it was SUCH A BLAST 😭😭 we saw them for the first time in 2022 and they were even more amazing this time (bigger budget maybe)

The absolute SHOWMANSHIP and creative that goes into their performances omg. The giant puppet hello???
