LYDIA MILLSTONE-GILMORE

Born in England, Lydia’s parents died shortly after her birth and with no other family, she was placed in the care of her parents friend Lorelai “Trix” Gilmore. 5 years later, Trix realized she was far too old to raise another child and so, she was sent overseas to Hartford to be raised by Trix’s son and daughter-in-law. This began a life of pageantry and spoiling, Emily’s chance to have the polite, high society daughter she couldn’t have with Lorelai. When she starts Chilton, she meets Paris Geller, a girl who is certainly not impressed with her pageants. And then her life changes more when Rory and Lorelai are in her life every weekend.

Bonus info on Lydia

She has been doing pageants since she was 6 years old

She does call Emily and Richard her parents, but she doesn’t really think of Lorelai as her sister (Emily says they are)

Paris and her have a little academic rivalry but Lydia likes Paris much more than Paris likes her

Emily puts a lot of pressure on Lydia but she thinks it’s good

Growing up she was spoiled, a pageant queen, and living the rich Connecticut girl dream. Then her life adjusts as she starts Chilton and meets Paris Geller, and adjusts more as Rory and Lorelai are suddenly in her life every week
