Random KISS Facts
(That nobody asked for)
Gene
The first time Gene spit fire, he caught his hair on fire
Back in the beginning of KISS, Gene would do a trick with flash paper, but one night his aim was off and the paper blew up in a kid’s face
Paul
During the Hotter Than Hell photoshoot, Paul got so drunk, that Gene had to lock him in the station wagon to keep Paul from hurting himself
Ace
Ace punched Tommy Thayer in the face when he (Tommy) was manager, over Ace having his girlfriend in the dressing room
Ace Frehley almost drowned twice. Once in a hotel bathtub and another time in a pool. Gene saved him both times
A day before the Hotter Than Hell photo shoot, Ace got in a bad car accident and split one side of his face open so. Because of this, Ace couldn’t wear that side of his makeup, so all the shots were profiles
Around 2000, Ace Frehley missed a flight to a concert in Los Angeles and the band got manager Tommy Thayer ready to fill in for Frehley, in costume and makeup. Frehley made it to the show at the last minute via helicopter ride from LAX to the venue
Peter
Peter Criss hardly played during the Reunion/Farewell tour, so they put an amplifier on his drums to make it sound like he was actually playing. That’s why a lot of the crew members would say “don’t sneeze around Peter’s drum set”
Eric C.
After the Dynasty tour was over, Peter Criss left the band. So, after KISS announced his departure, they held auditions for a new drummer and selected Paul Carvello, later renamed Eric Carr
When Eric Carr had to sing “Beth” he called Peter to make sure he (Peter) was ok with him singing his song
When Eric Carr recorded his vocal for the re-recording of “Beth” in 1988, he sat on the same drum stool that Peter Criss used during the original recording of the song in 1976
KISS’s late drummer Eric Carr’s collar on his 1980 “fox” costume was made out of real fox fur
In Paul’s book Face the Music he says that “When the tour stopped in Manhattan for two gigs at the Ritz, Eric Carr came to one of the shows and sat in the balcony with his head resting on the railing through the entire show. Afterwards he came backstage, and out of left field, turned to Eric Singer, and said, ‘You’re going to replace me.’ ‘What are you talking about?’ I spoke. ‘He’s going to replace me in KISS,’ said Eric Carr, nodding at Eric Singer. ‘Listen, Eric, you’re the drummer in KISS, and he’s the drummer of my solo band.’” But as fate would have it, Eric Singer was the perfect fit
Tommy
March 11, 2000, through April 13, 2001, was the Reunion/Farewell Tour with Ace and Peter. Tommy Thayer was KISS’ tour manager at the time, and he had to retrain Ace and Peter all their parts, because they hadn’t played in years. It proved to be difficult, and Tommy almost gave up. But with the reassurance of Paul, he managed to reteach Ace and Peter all their parts
Album/Song Facts
Cannons were recorded and mixed into KISS Alive! to mimic the pyrotechnics that didn’t come through the microphones correctly
Alive! was recorded in multiple different cities with crowd audio combined to make the crowd sound bigger. Alive! was mainly recorded in Detroit
At one point KISS almost went under because Neil Bogart (KISS’ manager) had maxed out his credit card. With the combination of the special effects, levitating drum set (that seldom ever worked), the exploding drumsticks, and Neil’s gambling issue, the band almost went under, but when Alive! went Platinum, it saved the group
On Dynasty Anton Fig played on the tracks except for “Dirty Livin’,” written, and played by Criss even though he wasn’t involved in its production, Peter was still credited on drums, which left Anton Fig uncredited
Psycho Circus was the first album to involve all four original members (though Ace Frehley and Peter Criss only appeared on a select few tracks). "You Wanted the Best" is the only KISS song in which lead vocals are shared by the entire lineup
The radio news announcer at the start of “Detroit Rock City” is KISS’ producer Bob Ezrin. The main news report featured a fatal car accident, and is the backstory of the song, which was based on a reportedly true event that happened to a teen on his way to Detroit KISS concert in 1975
Paul’s yodeling at the beginning of “Heaven’s on Fire” is him warning up. He didn’t realize the camera was rolling, but they decided to keep it in the video
A number of songs from Crazy Nights were performed live during its supporting tour, but during and especially immediately following the tour, most of those songs were dropped and were never performed again
The famous song “Rock and Roll All Nite” was inspired by Slade’s “Mama Weer All Crazee Now”
Towards the end of the Reunion/Farewell tour, fans were shocked to see Eric Singer in full Catman costume and makeup, meaning Peter left the band again for the final time
During the music video for “Heaven’s on Fire” Eric Carr pops up behind Paul, and Paul looks at him for a split second before looking back at the camera. Eric did that randomly. It wasn’t planned. Paul’s reaction was genuine
In the demo for “Baby Driver” Gene is singing
Other
Neil Bogart came up with Peter’s levitating drum set and his exploding drumsticks
The KISS logo is altered in Germany because of the similarities to the Nazi S
Early in KISS’ career, Larry Harris worked an endorsement deal with Gibson guitars, and they provided free guitars that Paul could smash. In exchange, KISS put Gibson on the back of their album covers
Peter “Moose” Oreckinto, a KISS roadie in the early days, was loading Peter Criss’ exploding drumsticks, when one went off, causing a hole in his hand, his chin and his stomach. This accident almost caused Moose to lose his hand, but doctors were able to save it
KISS was nominated for a Grammy in 1999 for Best Hard Rock Performance for their song “Psycho Circus.” (It lost to “Most High” by Page and Plant of Led Zeppelin fame)
Despite the band’s massive 1970s success and again in the late 1990s, Rolling Stone magazine refused to put KISS on its cover until the band’s 40th anniversary in 2013
KISS refused to play shows in their early days without their trademark giant lighted logo. In some venues, its size required it to be stood up on the side of the stage instead of hanging above it
KISS has had ten members during its 50-year existence. Paul Stanley is reportedly the only member to have participated in every song released
The KISS Army started in Indiana when a local radio station refused to play any KISS songs in the early ‘70s. Protesting fans marched outside of the radio station forcing the radio station to play KISS

Happy Birthday Derek William Dick born April 25th 1958 in Dalkeith.
Better known as Fish, lead singer with the group Marillion from 1981 to 1988, in his solo career he has explored contemporary pop and traditional folk and rock.
Marillion was initially formed as an instrumental band in 1979 by guitarist Steve Rothery, Fish was invited Fish to join as vocalist, and he assumed the frontman position beginning with their 1983 debut album, Script for a Jester's Tear. His strong Peter Gabriel-inspired vocals enforced critics' accusations that Marillion owed more than just a heavy debt to Genesis, but six more albums followed. Musical difficulties between Fish and the band caused him to leave after 1988's Thieving Magpie (La Gazza Ladra).
Fish has continued to release albums and singles over the past 30 years, most were given a good reception by critics but were not successful in commercial terms, In 2005, Fish won a Celebrity Music edition of The Weakest Link, beating Eggsy of Goldie Lookin Chain in the final round, sharing £18,750 for charity.
In May 2008, Fish's Planet Rock show Fish on Friday won the Silver award in the Music Broadcaster of the Year category at the UK Sony Radio Academy Awards 2008. In June 2008, at the New York Festivals Radio Broadcasting Awards, he and Gary Moore jointly received the Gold World Medal in the Regularly Scheduled Music Programme category for their respective shows on Planet Rock.
Fish was offered and accepted a part in the 1986 film Highlander (for which Marillion were also offered the soundtrack) but he eventually had to turn it down, owing to his tour commitments with the band.Queen went on to do the soundtrack.
In 1994, he appeared in Chasing the Deer, a film set during the 1745 Jacobite rebellion, as "Angus Cameron". He also missed out on a role in Braveheart. He spent two days with Mel Gibson in London who kept asking him to be involved but he was committed to touring his Suits album instead. He has appeared in several TV shows, The Bill and Rebus, alongside John Hannah to name but two.
The song most remembered by Marilion is the excellent Kayleigh, the girl in the video is German model, Tamara Nowy, who he went on to marry, the couple divorced in 2001, he went on to wed Katie Webb, his third wife, but they split after just 11 months, Fish cited that she couldn't cope with the isolation of a farming life near Haddington, saying they were only two mile away from the town but during a snow hit winter it was a big two miles. He went on to say "I've had it with women." He has since went through a cancer scare due to an "irregular cell growth" in his throat. This was later determined not to be cancerous.
Derek has an extensive European tour starting in October in Luxembourg followed by over 30 dates on the continent, before retuning home and playing with two gigs in Haddington, then heads down southbefor some two nights in Glasgow at the 02 Academy, thefirst of which, on March 9th, is already sold out.

heyy! can you make an apollo time line?? like until before talk your talk starts. i'm so confused
YES okay so i have a very detailed outline in my docs (aka for all the stuff i want to eventually cover in the memoir) but those contain a lot of spoilers so i'm going to give a brief outline of all the main events, just so that the timeline makes sense bc i totally get it - i, too, was very confused by my own timeline when first writing this fic. the amount of shifting and adjustments of it... yeah it was very confusing bc i kept putting off *making* a timeline for apollo and instead just throwing random bits and pieces of lore at him😭
SO here's the official talk your talk apollo timeline
1979
April 8: Apollo is born
1995
July (age 16): Apollo's debut album is released (at this point in time, he has already been in the film industry for years as a child actor, as well as various other smaller gigs/singles. He, before this, has also signed a 5-album contract with his father's record label.)
1998
October - December (age 19): Naomi/Apollo relationship (bonus fun fact: the billboard music awards were on december 7, 1998. This is about nine months before august 23, 1999. do with this information what you will.)
1999
August 23 (age 20): Will Solace is born
2000
June (age 21): at some point, a one night stand with Latricia Lake September 15 - October 1: Sydney Summer Olympics, Darren and Apollo first meeting (they continue to have an on and off relationship from 2000-2003, not really a committed relationship though)
2001
February 28: Austin Lake is born
2003
July (age 24): Darren and Apollo start dating officially
2004
January: Apollo's fifth album is released early March: Apollo and Darren break up mid March: Apollo's tour for the album starts April 1: Kayla Knowles is born late April (age 25): Apollo calls off his contract, doesn't extend his contract, and publicly breaks ties with his father's record label/management. The tour is cancelled, and Apollo disappears from the public eye - but not before "coming out" (this was largely seen as speculation/rumors, not an actual confirmation of his sexuality, and largely forgotten by fans) August 13 - 29: Athens Summer Olympics, Darren and Apollo final meeting (until 2019)
2007
March (age 27): Naomi Solace dies of a stroke before a concert on her tour May (age 28): Will moves in with Apollo
2010
November (age 31): Apollo meets Leo December: Kayla moves in
2011
March: Apollo meets Nico
okay i THINK those are all the important dates/events - hope it all makes sense!! if there are any questions abt apollo's backstory, or just general questions about this timeline (or, if there's an inconsistency that i somehow missed- for some reason, the first time i wrote this timeline, i wrote that kayla was conceived at the 2004 olympics. which makes. zero sense. seeing as she was born in april of that year. so yeah.) but anyway!! i love talking abt apollo and i realize there is a LOT of lore/backstory around him that i haven't gotten around to explaining, and i love rambling. thank you so much for the ask!!

Janis Joplin and Peter Tork in the audience at Monterey Pop Festival, June 1967. Photos by Jim Marshall (?).
“On my birthday we were in L.A. playing a club & everyone was so nice! The owners of the club sent me 3 dozen red roses — all over the stage when I came in, the band gave me 2 doz. […] Peter Tork sent me 1 doz. red roses. And after the show we had lots of champagne & a birthday cake. Really nice.” - From a 1968 letter sent by Janis Joplin to her family, via Genesis Publications
“‘My favorite guest star [on The Monkees TV show] was the one that was never on the show,’ Tork said. ‘I always wanted Janis Joplin,’ [Tork] said.” - The Defender, February 21, 1996 (x)
“At a gig in Los Angeles Janis picked up a busboy, a young Peter Tork, at the Golden Bear club, and it took a bit of convincing, but Tork, who later became one of the Monkees, told me about their off-and-on relationship. ‘Janis made no particular point of displaying her intelligence,’ he said, ‘but this came up and she couldn’t help setting me straight. She had her bottle of Southern Comfort right there, and I told her she would get “sclerosis” of the liver. She corrected me on my usage of the word, “No, it’s cirrhosis of the liver.”’ Peter laughed. ‘In those days acts were booked for a week, and there we were! For a while every time I saw Janis, she was happy to see me, hugged me, gave me that great big old laugh, and the next thing I knew we were rolling in the hay together. Then one day I caught up with her at a Who concert and she wasn’t friendly to me at all, and I said, “Okay, I get it, she’s after one of these other guys!” That was that.’” - Rock Bottom: Dark Moments in Music Babylon by Pamela Des Barres (1996)
“She was wonderful to know and to hang out with, and of course it was wonderful to enjoy her fabulous talent.” - Peter Tork, askpetertork dot com, July 2010
“Janis should have been knocking ‘em down into her sixties.” - Peter Tork, Headquarters radio, September 1989
Peter Tork: “Actually, Janis and I knew each other before we both broke, before either of us broke. I was a bar — I was a busboy and a beer jerk at a pub called the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, California. I had just gone to California. And Janis was in Big Brother and the Holding Company, and they were a pretty well-known San Francisco band, but Janis hadn’t broken as big as she became later. And they came through, and Janis and I just fell to talking. We had a lot in common, I mean, there was something in common, I — spoke to her about her drinking, I said, ‘You might get sclerosis,’ she said, ‘Cirrhocis!’ I got corrected. I didn’t mind being corrected. and, you know... And, and we just became —” Q: “You bonded. You had a connection there.” PT: “Pretty close. [...] We lost contact. Then, a couple of years later, The Monkees were already rolling, I’m watching 2001: Space Odyssey [released on April 2, 1968]. And Janis is in the audience, too, and she, ‘Hey! How ya doing?’ She’s so raucous, you know, ‘Hey, how ya doing, honey?’ She was fabulous. And so we hung —
”
Q: “And that was the night?
“ PT: “No, it was back and forth, because then we would… What happened was, Big Brother was playing New York, and I was in New York, as I recall, and so, you know, I called her up and said, ‘I’m around.’ So she came up and hung out. And I knew, of course, the band and I are pretty good friends, David Getz the drummer’s a good friend of mind to this day, and Sam Andrew, and James —” Q: “So you’re in New York, Big Brother’s playing, and you see Joplin —” PT: “And we go there, and, yeah, I… Janis, you know, retires, ‘I’ll be there in a minute,’ and I walked in, we had some conversation and…” Q: “You laid the lumber. Lucky you. You’re something special.” PT: “I am.” Q: “Only one time?” PT: “Twice.”
Q: “Twice?” PT: “Yeah.” Q: “She came back for more.” PT: “Or I did!” (laughter) Q: “Yeah, she was bored, second time she… I think it would be very tough to please a Janis Joplin sexually.” PT: “Uh, well, I couldn’t tell you. She was — hey, a second time is a testimonial, right?” - WFAN-FM, November 24, 2009

“I remember telling my office to arrange some tickets for the family. You’ve got to do that in Liverpool. And my office were over-zealous as usual. So I asked for about 30 tickets. We have a huge family on Merseyside. In fact, some are breeding as we speak- there’s always a couple on the go.
I gave the tickets to my brother Michael to sort out. Otherwise it would be like ‘ere how come SHE’S going and NOT me?’ – that type of family argument thing. So I lumbered Michael with that job.
Anyway, on the actual night they let all the family in first. I didn’t know about it so when I got on stage the first few rows of people standing there were all MY relatives. It was bit off-putting at first. There was also a heckler who asked me to play ‘Satisfaction’ – I told him that wasn’t one of ours!
After the show I went for a drink with Julia Baird – John’s half sister. It was my first bevvie of the day, because I can’t drink before a gig – I’d forget the words if I did. Then one of my cousin’s kids says to me, ‘Hey, did you hear that heckler – that was ME.’”

Coldplay Live Report [ROCKIN'ON (June 2001)]
Tumblr media
If You're a Man
April 9th, Coldplay performance, Roseland, NY.
For example, in the last two years, Travis, David Gray, Richard Ashcroft, etc. Musicians from the UK regularly attempt to land in the US, but none since Oasis have returned to the same glory as in their home country. In this context, the current focus on Coldplay in the US is extraordinary. The cold, rain-drenched video continues to get airplay on MTV, and "Yellow" is one of the top requested songs on radio stations. Their first New York gig in February was also extremely popular and chaotic. In fact, the show ended after just one song due to Chris' cold.
So here we are at this show. This time, the venue was rearranged to hold more than double the capacity of the previous show, just under 4,000 people, and it was sold out immediately. Anyway, the venue was overflowing with New Yorkers, mainly university students, who felt that they had to witness their first live performance at any cost. And then, the moment of their debut. Huh? Where's Chris? He's not in the middle of the stage. Sitting on a chair set up a little further back, playing the keyboard, he began his performance with reserve. On the second song, as if determined, he stood in the middle of the stage and proudly played "Shiver" with his guitar. The audience cheered loudly. Then he went back to the keyboard for "Trouble". But it wasn't a great start. Chris' whisper-like delicacy and painful falsetto, which you can't help but listen to, is the charm of the song, but you can't feel it. The groove of the band supporting him is also not fully developed. It was only in the middle of "Spies", when I heard the explosiveness of the drums cutting into the song, that I recognised that the engine had been revved up, and even more so when there was a moment when the band showed their true performance ability. Unfortunately, it was not possible to make waves with this breakthrough. Even on "Yellow", the band was hit by a howling feedback, and the vocals did not come forward. Chris feels like he's got a lot on his shoulders. He even shouted "BULLSHIT". Was he really nervous, even though the show was only an hour long? Is that why he caught a cold last time?
The reason for this extraordinary excitement in America is that every magazine describes Chris's uplifting and melancholic falsetto as "reminiscent of Radiohead before 'Kid A'", and Americans are entrusting their long-awaited "post-Radiohead" dreams to this band. The attention they have attracted thanks to the extraordinary Radiohead glorification, which can be seen as an outlet for the dissolution of the British band complex in America, may be unwelcome to them. But they are already scheduled to play a show at Radio City (capacity 10,000) later this year. It is a venue that they could never reach with the power of "post-Radiohead" alone. Chris! You are the one they have their eyes on. -Akemi Nakamura
Translator's Note: I actually stumbled upon this live report while randomly flipping through the magazine, even though said magazine didn't hint that there was a Coldplay live report in it. It was actually at the very back of the magazine so it was easily missable.

JUSTIN Timberlake and Britney Spears' "feud" is non-existent and the trauma over her abortion has been resolved privately.
Timberlake apologized to his ex-pop superstar partner and they are now "fine," his NYSNC bandmate Lance Bass revealed in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun.
Bass is a friend to both Britney and bandmate and long-term pal Justin.
Bass says that Britney addressed the break up in the book to set her record straight on that split, but "that was the past”.
He insists that while publicly it appears Spears remains upset, seemingly through her social media posts, “They don't care. They are good.”
Speaking exclusively on camera, at the annual Environmental Media Association Awards in LA, Bass said that the deeply personal issues between the couple was not even a "fight".
The ex-NSYNC star feels that his friends’ personal woes were "just life".
Bass, 44, also added that Britney fans' successful push of her single Selfish ahead of Timberlake's new single of the same name on the iTunes Charts is "good for everyone".
Currently, some Spears’ fans continue to attack her ex-partner following her memoir heartbreak of him wanting an abortion and cheating allegations in 2001.
When asked how the famous couple solve their differences, Bass declared: “Well, the problem is they've already sorted it out and everyone just forgets.
“No, they are fine. They support each other. They love each other in their own ways.
“He has apologized. She is amazing. It's just like everyone, this has happened already.
“So I think just people like to keep fights going, but look at the people that are in the fight. They don't care. They're good.”
Spears claimed in her memoir, the media portrayed her as “a harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy," while she was really “comatose in Louisiana” as he was “happily running around Hollywood”.
Justin has not made any public comment about Spears’ claims, but did tell fans at his Vegas gig in December “no disrespect” before playing Cry Me a River - a tune penned about her cheating on him.
Hours later she appeared to fire back on Instagram: “I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball and he would cry... no disrespect.”
Bass, wearing a vibrant green suit and sporting violet hair, says The Woman In Me is not reflective of their status now.
"But she was talking about her past. She's not talking about right now. Okay. So what's happening right now - they are fine.
"I don't know why people try to keep this fight going. It wasn't even really a fight. It was just life.”
Bass also feels that Spears‘ fans continuing to disrupt Timberlake is not necessarily a bad thing.
'GOOD FOR EVERYBODY'
They sent her tune named Selfish to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart, stopping his tune from a top spot.
Bass, 44, feels Timberlake, whose new album Everything I Thought It Was is released on March 15, is winning despite the drama.
“It's good for everybody, right?
“Yeah. Any press is good press is what they say. . So yeah, I mean, it's fine. Now they both have singles in the top 10, which is great.”
Bass admits that while Timberlake has his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver, Canada on April 29, There are no NSYNC reunion plans.
He added that there is "always hope”, especially after how fans reacted to Bass, JT, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez, reuniting for The Trolls film comeback single before Christmas.
”The fans are incredible. They keep us alive, but they've been with us since the last NSYNC tour.
“So it's like we've never felt like they've left us at all. So everything that I've ever done, I felt that they were there.
"They've always shown up for me in every individual project I've done.
"When we get together as a group, it is a different thing.
“It's just this kind of craziness that happens and it's fun.
"It's fun to see the reaction. I love the smiles and how happy people get seeing us all five together. It is rare, but it's special.”

Random old gigs - La Cigale, Paris, 17 April, 2001
A fan broke into Matt's hotel room after the gig, creeping him out.
"Matt stated that after this gig, he woke up in the morning to a "clammy" female fan sitting on the end of his bed who he believed had either broken into his room, or had bribed the receptionist. He described this as the most awkward incident he has had with a fan and it is implied that he politely asked her to leave his room."

Other artists with unusual style. Part 2
Kei Zama:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kei Zama (座間 慧 Zama Kei) is a Japanese comic artist and metalhead. After discovering Last Stand of the Wreckers, they fell hard for Transformers and started hunting down every Western comic they could, with Geoff Senior and Derek Yaniger being faves and influences for their "powerful and aggressive" styles.
Starting as a regular cover artist for IDW Publishing, they became the regular artist on Optimus Prime in late 2016.
As well as Transformers, they've drawn for their fan-fave 2000 AD: starting with those other war robots, ABC Warriors, for a 2017 Free Comic Book Day special. They were unsure about doing it at the same time as starting their ongoing Optimus Prime gig but John Barber, their co-creator, talked them into it.
Kei Zama is a Japanese comic book artist who has worked on several Star Wars projects for Marvel Comics as an illustrator and cover artist, including War of the Bounty Hunters – 4-LOM & Zuckuss 1, Life Day 1, and Doctor Aphra (2020) 21. They enjoy the prequel trilogy films and appreciated the experience of drawing characters from the 1999 prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace for the Pride Month variant cover of Darth Vader (2020) 24.
My opinions for this artist, they have made lot of details when they are making transformers comics as which they've drawn for their fan-fave 2000 AD which is starting with those other war robots aka Cybertrons and Decepticons.

Ben Templesmith:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ben Templesmith is an Australian comic book artist best known for his work in the American comic book industry, most notably the Image Comics series Fell, with writer Warren Ellis, and IDW's 30 Days of Night with writer Steve Niles, which was adapted into a motion picture of the same name.
Templesmith produced his first commercial American comics work in 2001, providing the art for Todd McFarlane Productions' Hellspawn, which was published by Image Comics. He has gone on to create his own original works as well as contribute to many licensed properties at various publishers, most notably IDW Publishing, with which he had an exclusive agreement through most of 2008 and part of 2009 before returning to being a freelancer.
Original works Templesmith has produced include the miniseries Welcome to Hoxford, the New York Times best-selling Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse Tommyrot: The Art of Ben Templesmith, Conluvio and Choker at Image Comics with writer Ben McCool. He also provided a number of covers for the Oni Press series Wasteland.
In April 2012, DC Entertainment announced that Templesmith would be one of the artists illustrating a new digital Batman series with stories set outside regular DC continuity.
My opinions for this artist, that his art works have like different emotions but he want it to be in the dark theme scene on the comic as it very unusual for it in the comic itself as it is like explaining the emotions with colours but in dark theme style.
╰── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅──╯
Joëlle Jones:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joëlle Jones is an American comic book artist and writer, best known for her work on Lady Killer, a series published in 2015–2017 by Dark Horse Comics, for her cover work on various Marvel Comics series, and for her work writing and illustrating DC Comics series including Batman and Catwoman.
Joëlle Jones is an Eisner nominated artist currently living and working in Los Angeles, CA. Since attending PNCA in Portland, OR, she has contributed to a wide range of projects and has most recently has worked on Batman for DC comics. She also wrote and drew the series, Lady Killer, published by Dark Horse comics. Jones has also provided the art for fashion designer Prada, and various projects for Marvel, Boom, Vertigo, Oni Press and The New York Times.  Joëlle currently has projects with DC comics as well as continuing her Series Lady Killer.
My opinions for this artist, that her art works has very complexing colours on her work as she works on the details little by little as she had made positive spaces and aswell negative spaces to show what specific parts that our attention should be.

Monthly reggae disco in North-East London. The night is named after sadly departed MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the voice behind classic deejay tunes such as "Drunken Master".
For the April session, we're excited to welcome Naoko The Rock to select tunes for us for the first time! From four years old, Naoko Itami trained as a classical pianist and steadily absorbed a wide range of music which eventually came to include the reggae genre. By the age of 19, Naoko regularly organised reggae events such as Oldies But Rudies, Carib Soul and 7UP! in her native Japan.
In 2001, she moved to London and joined a band as a percussionist gigging around the capital whilst still getting her obligatory reggae fix via Jah Shaka’s legendary sound system. The dissolution of her band prompted Naoko’s return behind the decks and to the city’s skanking scene. Since that time she has built a stellar reputation as a top selector, having played at established nights such as Roots Vibes, Dub Me Always and Tighten Up, been part of deejay collectives Ska Lavin' and Sisters Of Reggae, and also toured internationally, with appearances at festivals such as Reggae Geel (Belgium), Rototom Sunsplash (Spain) and Woman of the Ghetto (Italy).
Come and listen to some of the greatest music ever made in a beautiful old school club. £3 members £5 Guests and non-members Please help the trades staff by bringing the correct money for entry.

On April 11th 1958 the Scottish musician, singer and co-founder of Big Country, Stuart Adamson was born.
William Stuart Adamson was born in Manchester to Scottish parents who moved the family back home when Stuart was four, they settled in the small mining village of Crossgates in Fife. Stuart’s well-travelled father was in the fishing industry. Both his parents had a love of folk music and encouraged their children to pursue literature and music. He grew up in a household where it wasn’t unusual for a few folk to come home after the pub shut, a guitar or even a fiddle would be brought out and a singsong would happen, maybe Stuart, like me, and probably countless others out there, would sit at the top of the stairs and listen to the sounds coming from the livingroom, before of an age he would start making his own……
The punk rock ethos that dictated anyone could be in a band regardless of musical ability further inspired Adamson. After he saw a performance by The Damned in 1976, he formed his first band, The Tattoos. Two years later, he recruited singer the subject of Saturdays post, Richard Jobson, a teenager Adamson described as “the only other punk in town,” and formed The Skids.
The Skids had a UK Top 10 hit with 1979’s Into the Valley and, despite being a relatively short-lived outfit plagued by a host of line-up changes, would manage to chart in the UK four times.
It is his work with Big County for which Adamson is chiefly remembered. The band formed in 1981 and spent eight months rehearsing in a furniture warehouse before emerging with a triumphant gig in their hometown of Dunfermline. After playing an ill-conceived opening slot for Alice Cooper (the band was dropped from the tour after only two gigs), Big Country first charted with 1982’s “Harvest Home” and would later reach the Top 10 on the UK Singles chart with Fields of Fire.
But it was In A Big Country"that became a worldwide hit, propelling their album The Crossing to a million sales in the UK and gold record status in America, where they’d make appearances on Saturday Night Live and at the Grammys.
During the 1990s, Adamson’s personal problems came increasingly to the fore. After he and his first wife divorced, she detailed his struggle with alcoholism to the tabloids. He moved to Nashville in 1996 and with songwriter Marcus Hummon recorded an alt-country album as The Raphaels. Despite joining AA and achieving short-term sobriety, he still struggled with relapses. He disappeared for a time in 1999, failing to show for a series of gigs.
In 2000 Adamson returned to Big County for a successful farewell tour, including a well-received, sold-out performance in Glasgow. But 2001 saw him drifting again, unable to decide whether to record another Big Country album, to continue with The Raphaels, or to record a punk rock solo album he’d been mulling over. A lifelong football fan, he was a friend of Alex Ferguson and even contemplated a life away from the spotlight as a youth “soccer” coach in Atlanta, like the punk album it never materialised.
It was while watching a football match in an Irish pub in Atlanta that Stuart Adamson was last seen alive leaving the bar. He was found a few days later having hung himself in a hotel room in Honolulu, he was 43.

mickey bradford comes from a family of divorced parents (divorced when she was 12) and an older sister. she lived with her father most of the time, but stayed multiple weekends with her mother. she used to look up to her mother, but over the years, she understood that her father was the one who put the girls first before anything, while their mother... never had her priorities straight. at 18, she stopped contacting her mother first — after that, she was lucky if she got a phone call every month.
mickey never went to college, but instead moved out to LA with her sister so they could try out the acting scene there. long story short, mickey was getting the call backs, and her sister wasn’t. by 21 years old, mickey was being cast in shows left and right and becoming an up and coming actress, while her sister was forced to find a career elsewhere. bitterness grew between them.
with her headstrong and stubborn personality, mickey learned quick that she needed to turn down her personality if she wanted to go far in hollywood. this would be a struggle that she faces throughout her career, because she was constantly choosing between keeping a gig or saying what was really on her mind when she thinks she’s being mistreated or put in a position she never wanted to be in.

Toriano Adaryll "Tito" Jackson (October 15, 1953 – September 15, 2024) was an American musician. He was a founding member of the Jackson 5 (later known as the Jacksons), who rose to fame in the late 1960s and 1970s with the Motown label and later had continued success with the group on the Epic label in the late 1970s and 1980s. Jackson began a solo career in 2003 performing as a blues musician. Throughout his career, he was nominated for three Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5.
Jackson was born at St. Mary's Mercy Hospital in Gary, Indiana, on October 15, 1953.
He was the third of ten children of the Jackson family: Rebbie, Jackie, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Brandon, Michael, Randy, and Janet who lived in a two-bedroom house in Gary. His father, Joseph (July 26, 1928 – June 27, 2018), was a steel mill worker, and played R&B in a band, the Falcons, with his brother Luther. His mother, Katherine (May 4, 1930), is a Jehovah's Witness. She played the piano and the clarinet. At ten years of age, Tito was caught playing his father's guitar after he broke a string.
After fixing the string, Joe demanded that he play for him. Once he was finished, Joe bought him his own guitar, and convinced Tito, Jackie, and Jermaine to form a singing group. He was impressed with the vocals of Jackie and Jermaine.
By 1964, Marlon and Michael both joined the group the Jackson 5 after Katherine discovered that they could sing. Katherine is a country-and-western fan, and she sang harmonies with her sons. Before Motown signed them, the brothers spent years rehearsing at home. After school they rehearsed for hours, played a gig, did homework, and went to bed.
The group signed with Steeltown Records in Gary in November of that year. In January 1968, the Jackson Five's first single, "Big Boy", was released on the Steeltown label.
In 1969, The Jackson 5 signed with Motown Records in Detroit, and scored several hit songs, including their number-one singles "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There", but despite his talent as a guitar player, Motown refused to allow Jackson to perform guitar on any of the Jackson 5 recording sessions, instead forcing all their guitar parts to be performed by session musicians.
As a direct result, his guitar work did not make its debut until he and the Jacksons left Motown for CBS Records in 1976.
He began writing songs with his brothers during this time. Tito and Jackie Jackson were the most consistently present members of the Jacksons, with Jermaine, Marlon, Michael, and Randy leaving at different times.
After the end of the Victory Tour, Jackson performed session work and as a record producer. After releasing 2300 Jackson Street, the Jacksons ceased recording work. Jackson was inducted with his brothers into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
In 2001, Jackson reunited with his brothers on Michael Jackson's 30th anniversary concert special at Madison Square Garden.
Jackson began a solo career in 2003 performing as a bluesian in various clubs with his band, which included producer and guitarist Angelo Earl, and a management team that included Ed Tate.[11] In 2007, in the United Kingdom, Jackson appeared as a judge on the BBC celebrity singing competition Just the Two of Us for series two of the show. He replaced singer Lulu, who was a judge on series one. His co-judges were vocal coach CeCe Sammy, musician Stewart Copeland, and radio DJ Trevor Nelson.
In 2009, he was the executive producer of The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty, together with his brothers after Michael died.
In 2016, he had his first commercially successful solo single on the Billboard charts with the single, "Get It Baby", featuring Big Daddy Kane from his album Tito Time becoming the ninth and final Jackson family sibling to place a solo single on the charts.
The album was released in Japan late in 2016, and in the U.S on iTunes in April 2017. Subsequent to its' launch, three singles were released to radio in the United States. The first single, "When the Magic Happens", featuring Jocelyn Brown, was released on April 1, 2017. Jackson launched the album for the UK market in September 2017.
Jackson performed at the 2019 Living Legends foundation's (LLF) Annual Awards Dinner and Gala, performing his single "One Way Street" off his album Tito Time. "One Way Street" features a remix from producer Gregg Pagani, who has worked with Charlie Wilson and Johnny Gill.
On July 9, 2021, Jackson released the first single "Love One Another" from his second solo album "Under Your Spell", released August 6.
The single features his brother Marlon Jackson, Kenny Neal, Bobby Rush, and Stevie Wonder. On this album he turned to blues compared to his debut album, Tito Time, which explored more pop and R&B sounds. The album "Under Your Spell" also features collaborations with George Benson, rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, Grady Champion, Claudette King, The O'Jay's Eddie Levert, and Steven Powell.
On September 16, 2022, Jackson took the stage at Ground Zero Blues Club in Biloxi, Mississippi together with Kenny Neal. This was their second show from their "Straight From The Heart Tour". First show was on August 27 at Winston–Salem Fairgrounds Annex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.Third show was on September 23, in Bogalusa, Louisiana at the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival.
On March 17, 2023, Jackson teamed up with Brazilian artist Natalia Damini bringing the Motown and the early Jacksons feel back with a new song "Attitude", and a music video. This collaboration came to be because Jackson's long time friend Charve the Don is also Damini's manager.
In June 1972, Jackson married Delores "Dee Dee" Martes at the age of 18, and the couple divorced in 1988.
In 1994, Martes was found dead floating in a swimming pool. The death was originally ruled accidental. Later, Los Angeles businessman Donald Bohana was charged with and, in 1998, found guilty of second-degree murder.
The couple had three sons—Taj (born 1973), Taryll (born 1975), and TJ (born 1978)—who comprise the R&B/pop group 3T. Jackson had nine grandchildren.
Michael Jackson's memorial service was held at the Staples Center on July 7, 2009, in Los Angeles. To honor him, Tito and his brothers Marlon, Jackie, Jermaine, and Randy Jackson served as pallbearers, each wearing a single spangled white glove and sunglasses.
On the 12th anniversary of Michael's death, Jackson told Manchester Evening News that he turned to Michael's music in remembrance of his brother. In the 2021 interview, Jackson said that because of his brother's death, the month of June is difficult to deal with. He also defended his brother from allegations levied against him.
On September 15, 2024, Jackson suffered a heart attack and died at the age of 70 in Gallup, New Mexico. Jackson was on a road trip with his business partner Terry Harvey to transport Jackson's antique cars from California to his new residence in Claremore, Oklahoma when he began sweating and complaining of chest pains.
Gallup police stated they were alerted to Jackson being in need of medical attention near a mall before he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

﹟ ⠀⋆ ⠀❛ ⠀BOO, YOU WHORE ! ⠀⋆ ⠀.⠀★ ⠀ GIRLTALK is a four-piece fictional girl group under poser records. the lineup consists of madeline, naomi, && heidi with the newest addition of journey in 2022 after the departure of former member namra in 2020. before the change in members, the original four had solidified themselves as "the new standard" within the company; aside from being deemed "monster rookies" by netizens, girltalk were also breaking records previously held by their seniors seemingly overnight.
their success was called into question many times by the fans of their sibling groups. xploit fans claimed that all of their awards were brought, angel fans often accused the members of sleeping with executives to win their favor, and say my name fans believed they were just a poor imitation of them. their manager, yahya "yaya" uyen, claimed that these allegations were apart of the popstar lifestyle; "you're not it if someone doesn't hate you for nothing."
by 2019, girltalk were one of the most successful girl groups to debut within the third generation. with an upcoming full album, a rumored world tour, && hints at solo releases, it was perceived by their fans worldwide that everything was going fine behind the scenes. in the end, in 2020, the truth was finally revealed when namra announced her departure from the group via her instagram just a day before the company released their statement on the matter. her written apology, now deleted as of 2024, went on to describe how she felt as if she was being held back from reaching her full potential due to being in a girl group. devastating fans, it came as a surprise when heidi took it upon herself to reply under her post with "raise your hand if you care."
the lineup remained as three for a whole year until poser records officially revealed the plans of adding a new member to the group in 2022. and just two and a half months later, journey was introduced. fans have either been supportive or against her addition thanks to the company doing everything in their power to make it as if she was there from the beginning; old songs were re-recorded, she was being pushed into solo activities faster than everybody else was, and it was said that her solo was to be dropped sometime in 2023. however, after a close encounter with an anti-fan, journey herself asked to halt any gigs until she was ready. whether or not you believe this was her own doing, or her being told to so in an effort to finally fit in with the girls, is up to you.
