that scene where lloyd explains sora abt elemental powers and how nya felt water in her veins, zane felt ice in his mind and cole felt earth in his gut, has me spiralling and brainstorming how powers are connected to parts of the body & personality, so many metaphors and parallels!!

ice in a balanced surrounding maintains a stable structure and harmonised itself with its surroundings, just like how zane's mind is a perfect balance between humanity and machinery.

water having a nature to adapt to surroundings and possess various qualities at once.. just like how veins adapt to blood pressure and different substances that needed to be transported in the body.. proved by nya's adaptability and versatility

earth is always solid and dependable, a firm foundation. your gut feelings are one of the most dependable intuition you can trust. cole is one of the most loyal and grounded people on the team!!!!! (also the fact cole is shown to have the biggest appetite lol)

kai feels his fire power in his chest!!! fire represents passion and emotion, something you can feel in your chest!!! kai is shown to be a very passionate person and is also a hot head!!

jay i think would feel lightning at his fingertips? fingertips are very sensitive and can percieve energy and feel it on different levels, showcasing jay's lively, unpredictable and energetic personality, just like lightning.

lloyd's energy powers unlike the others wouldnt be localised to some specific organ/body part, but instead felt throughout his entire body. most elements are connected by ENERGY. energy flowing throughout his body could be described as all a product of all the places where elemental masters feel their powers, that means the entire body! it also represents how lloyd can control most elements and he basically unifies the team!!

Listen I like her "strong independent woman" thing she has going on but man am i getting tired of it. I want to see her cry and be sad and just have a full on breakdown instead of putting the bad feelings away and staying strong for the others. Like LET HER HAVE FEELINGS MAN! SHE GOT SEPARATED FROM HER FAMILY FOR 5 YEARS, SHE LOST HER HUSBAND THE LOVE OF HER LIFE AND STILL HASN'T FOUND HIM AND HAS NO IDEA WHERE TO LOOK, SHE LOST HER BROTHER LIKE THREE TIMES WITH THE LAST ONE BEING BASICALLY PERMANENT IF NOT FOR SOME MIRACLE. SHE DESERVES A BREAK AND A GOOD CRY! LET HER HAVE IT PLEASE!

Anywho, i think this is the best that I can do with Kai's hair, and the whole time I'm just imagining that instead of defying gravity, it's being swept by the wind, which just gave me the idea of wanting to make him look solemn and elegant which is a far contrast to Kai's character. Also this style I've used is closer to my recent style for my youtube videos.

(1) In part one there are sketches showing the various processes that Kai was subjected to once he began training in Emperor Garmadon's army once he was released from prison and free of any suspicion related to the rebels. The generals subjected Kai to extreme physical tests that led him to be brutally beaten by the other recruits in an attempt to make everyone see the importance of strength in Emperor Garmadon's army.

(2) Since Kai had to keep his powers a secret by Garmadon's orders when he was free from the Overlord, Kai had to quickly get used to the statistics of training. Kai had to fight several experienced soldiers daily in order to increase his resistance and strength, even though it wore him down physically and mentally.

(3) If Kai failed to complete the training routine, Garmadon's generals, especially Samukai and Kozu, subjected Kai to punishment, either by whipping him in front of all the other recruits to be an example of the punishment that awaits them if they do not complete their training or just for pleasure since they know that Kai was part of the rebellion against Garmadon. And if Kai was not whipped he was sent to an isolation cell where he was deprived of food and water for three days.

(4) Despite receiving advanced medical treatment from the palace doctors, Kai still showed daily physical pain, over time he got used to it but sometimes these pains prevented him from doing other activities, one of them was when he was taking care of Lloyd or when he went on scouting missions with other soldiers. Kai took various medications that relaxed the pain in his muscles, despite trying to hide it from Lloyd, the little prince was always suspicious of Kai's pain.

First comic style drawing so the composition isn’t the besttt? Almost added Nya in but i couldn’t find the energy. More ninja! Lloyd owns the second place medal of my heart go white boy go. If. not sure if i’m happy with Kai’s design yet, he might change around a bit more.
