I know what I will say is nothing if not gross speculation and good old fashion gossip, but Maya going private screams of major life change. Like when you feel your life needs a revamp and so you do an ig cleanse, you go private, you change the vibe.

It annoys me because more than Barzal content which she rarely posted.., her ig stories were a vibe. Hope she doesn't go through with this and goes public once more.

Mat Barzal is your typical man whore. a bunch of hookups, a freak in bed, and an egotistical hockey player who acts like an entitled frat boy. He’s always been the type to keep his options open, but there’s this one thing you didn’t see coming: he’s really into the whole ‘secret affair’ thing. Back in the day, he loved playing this game where he’d pick someone up and act like he was super into them (but only when it was behind closed doors). There’s a lot of talk that he used to secretly hook up with girls who were already involved with other hockey players, and he'd get a strange thrill from being the “other guy.” It was like a weird hockey love triangle scenario every time—he’d swoop in once another player was done with someone and play the role of the bad boy, making everything feel like a secret.

The craziest part? I heard from a bunny who used to be his go-to girl that he would low-key stalk her social media after they hooked up. He’d see her liking posts from other players and would get super jealous, even though he made it clear he wasn’t looking for anything serious. There’s also a rumor that he had a bit of a thing for some of the other team’s girlfriends. especially the ones who liked to play hard to get. He would subtly slide into their DMs when they were in town for games, testing the waters to see if he could get a reaction. No shame.

He had this one girl in his life who was his obsession, but the twist was she didn’t even know it. He would always circle back to her after his random flings, texting her like it was nothing, but secretly hoping she'd be the one to keep him grounded. She wasn’t buying it, though. he would literally beg her to come over after games when he was feeling lonely, but she’d always leave him on read. Now that he's trying to play all "private and chill," people who were around back in the day are laughing their asses off. They know Mat’s still got those old habits and if you look close enough, he’s still got the same hockey boy energy. he just wants to keep it on the down-low now. Maybe even settle down and get engaged for once. God bless his girlfriend is all I have to say ! 💋

Idk they are so off and on, and they are definitely more secret about it than other couples! Someone told me they were together around early October they had a summer fling at some friends wedding it was I think? But they definitely could be back on! I would think he would still go to games as a player also. And does Mat wear watches? Never seen him really wearing them, as fair as the games even his sister was to one recently so Id think Mat would be attending. This could also be Maya trying to bug Mat. Due to the team being away I feel like it might not be him.

Apparently Matt Barzals gf Maya makes fun of his fans and makes fun of people who aren’t super skinny - which is ironic bc there was a blog on here last year that showed old photos of her when she wasn’t super skinny and more midsize. I guess she’s super shallow but I’ve also seen on here that he is too.
