What's the preferred love languages of chryzure? What's some goofy stuff the two of them do together? My babysitter's a vampire au, does chrysi convince her vampire boyfriend to do dumb shit with his abilities?

chryzure love language is absolutely physical touch and quality time… also teasing each other endlessly and always helping their partner by committing to the bit…. azure’s serious expression always makes chrysi’s ridiculous jokes and lies seem more grounded than they truly are. and then reading their own separate books while cuddling is peaakkkk chryzure love language. maybe they’ll kiss a little bit! why not!!!

most of the goofy stuff consists of chrysi climbing up somewhere and then getting stuck and azure has to help her down…. catgirl gf real… i also rlly like thinking abt chrysi saying something completely wild and untrue and then it cute to azure nodding solemnly. she’s soooooo right to say that. who cares if it breaks the laws of nature??

whenever azure’s wine-drunk, he gets a little silly.. always flirting w chrysi by nipping at her ear or something like that. once he woke up to find that they’d put lipstick on in the evening & chrysi had kiss marks all over her face. she didn’t wash them off because she thought it was cute 🥰 and also azure looked vvvv pretty w lipstick on. you should wear it more often, bunny!!

OH, whenever chrysi’s taking a little catnap while listening to music, azure always opens up her phone and queues up axel f by crazy frog or temporary secretary by paul mccartney. then he sits and waits for her to bolt up wide awake like, “I TRUSTED YOU.” your mistake! azure is not to be trusted ever!!!! his sense of humor will sneak up on you..

he’s also dropped an ice cube down her shirt more than once. we all talk abt mischievous chrysi, but mischievous azure is literally RIGHT THERE. the WHOLE TIME.

YESSS, she made him test out many of those cursed mirror urban legends, since he doesn’t have a reflection & she’s curious abt the outcome. most of the time, nothing happens. except for, you know, the time he got dragged into the mirror dimension and the entity there stole his face and tried to escape by kissing chrysi with tongue. azure was having a very bad day.

mostly, chrysi jst uses azure as her little vampire guinea pig. she wants to see if he can get away w things, since he can’t show up on camera. answer: he can! unforeseen outcome: he still trips up alarms and now chrysi, azure, and jacks are running from the cops. again. azure spirits chrysi away w his vampire speed and they leave jacks behind to be caught by the cops AGAIN. he’s so mad abt this..

Where do Chrysi and Jacks live while together? What kind of place do they prefer? What's their domestic stuff like? How many times a day does Chyrsi just bite Jacks?

okay, one of these days, i need to genuinely make a pinterest board of chrysi and jacks’s house because i have such a clear vision of it, but!! i always like imagining them living on the coast somewhere up north (i reread the caraval series + revealed jacks as chrysi’s bf when i was on vacation in a beach house in the pacific northwest, so now i project a lot of that + the feel of the tv show haven onto their home!!oh, also that beach house scene from eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!!) in a kinda tall, narrow house.. also, they have a room near the top that has a p big glass window, similar to a lighthouse top, that chrysi uses as her art room! they also have a big front garden + stone steps leading down to the beach + they can walk to the lighthouse from where they are…

the closest thing i could find to what it would be looks (very slightly) like this—but their home is definitely a lot more… dated? in the sense that they have more classic architecture that’s been weathered a bit.

sometimes i like to picture them also living in a house that’s a little like the home from what remains of edith finch! jst for my more supernatural/fucked up fairy tale vibes! in that version of their home, they still have the little graveyard garden overlooking the ocean 🫶🏻 also they have the book archway in their home!!

in the caraval universe, chrysi has taken control of a little townhouse that jacks gifted to her <33 he stays over as the gambling den a lot, but he likes coming home to their tidy little townhouse and sleeping in her arms :33

ultimately, i rllllllyyyyy love narrow victorian houses as a home. it feels very homey and eccentric at the same time.

((i was trying to find this one home that i remember made me gasp because of how perfect it was for this exact reason, but … i can’t find it :((((. ))

slap an art nouveau door on that place and a couple other anachronistic details, like one of those see-through plastic 90s phones and such, and that’s the chrysijacks household!!! jst a fate and his star living together throughout the ages!!!

their domestic life is very funny to me bc.. both chrysi and jacks will go off to do something in their various realms (chrysi ghosthunting and the like, and jacks… i dunno. trying to feel important by scheming), so they frequently will be out of town and/or out of the house for a while. they have a thinking cloth (like in l&c), and a chalkboard with drawings and notes written all over it. chrysi has her crazy conspiracy board in the living room corner. there are bookshelves along pretty much any wall that’s not taken. the only reason they have a tv or any modern amenity is because emery demanded it as soon as she moved in. but they do still have a vhs tape shelf.. emery is screaming inside!!

but ummm, life-wise!!! it’s jst a lot of chrysi and jacks hanging out w each other as chrysi does chores. jacks follows chrysi vv uselessly while she makes breakfast and does the laundry and cleans the counters and such. he’s her little errand boy—getting the ingredients she needs, or the cleaning supplies, or he’ll sort out the clothing while she folds them… she simply does not trust him w completing anything neatly 🫶🏻 so he’ll jst assist with the process instead!!!

chrysi will bite jacks… hmmm… possibly around ten times a day… if she’s particularly bored, she’ll endlessly gnaw on him. it’s okay.. he has scars from where she bit him on the playground when they were kids, so he’s used to enduring it. btw, the scars are CENTURIES old. i guess she branded him as her own even back then 🤔🤔🤔

🌻 - in a real debate over whether i should reread the caraval trilogy rn, or read the selection trilogy for the first time because two friends have said they’re good popcorn reads…. both frighten me, in a way. but im also very excited to read them.

🌻 - a new soda place opened up near our home that juno and i frequented on a vacation a while back and i am THRILLED. but they had a taylor swift cookie of the month that was SOLD OUT UNTIL NEXT WEEK & MY HEART IS IN SHAMBLES……………… give me the pretty purple sparkly cookie…. please…………….. i swear i will be normal abt it……. anyway, the nat’l parks drink rules, sooo 🫶🏻 i wrote abt 2.5k words fueled on that thing.

🌻 - juno’s fav serial killer book got a sequel that has a pretty pink cover & i’m vvvvv excited to read it 🥰 plus the romance of this series is EXTREMELY slowburn, very respectful from both characters, AND there’s an obsessive serial killer that kills ppl artistically who is canonically very attractive & deranged. i think i need him. anyway, if ever you want to read that book, a good soundtrack is everybody wants to rule the world (tears for fears), red with love (pom pom squad), and maniac (michael sembello). and by good, i mean that those were the only three songs on loop while i slammed through that book while waiting to get my stitches out 🫶🏻

What are some Jacks headcanons you haven't or rarely talk about? In aus and Canon. What's Jacks's favorite outfit for himself and of Chrysi's?

in the modern au, he randomly dyes his hair blue & nobody addresses it when he comes into school w it. it’s always gone within the next couple days. not because it was temporary, but because he got ambushed and his hair was re-bleached to blonde. it is still never addressed by anybody.

also in the modern au, jacks learns how to make paper roses (‘cause chrysi made him because she was hand making valentines for her whole class & she wasn’t going to do it ALONE) & he still makes paper roses whenever he’s missing chrysi. don’t ask why his home is covered in them.

ALSO in the modern au, since i have jacks go into fashion design (another hc i have… jst because he doesn’t dress well doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an eye for it!), he always will specifically design w chrysi in mind…. he cannot escape her. he is haunted by her in his every waking moment. it’s also his worst nightmare when she has to model one of his designs (long story, related to my wh13 au) & he realizes she’s grown out her hair & his design he designed FOR HER does not work for her. he almost throws up when he realizes this.

he’s so fucking lame. sorry, jst like—he’s lame as hell, he’s soooooo stupid and lame and uncool. this is simply canon, but the way fans act abt him, you’d think it was something i made up. but no! jacks is stupid! and losercore failprincess

i think jacks has a thing abt abandoning chrysi but it haunts him forever and ever. he was a coward and blockheaded and now he can never escape the fact that he abandoned the person he wants most in the entire world.

he likes that chrysi accidentally cursed him 🥰 don’t talk to him abt how azure also accidentally cursed him.

chrysijacks holding hands while they sleep is in all aus, but esp in dreamology when they were kids, childhood fates, and the mermaid au :)) they mostly held hands in that one so the currents wouldn’t separate them & it transferred to how they would curl up & sleep together.

jacks’s fav outfit for himself are probably these (fantasy and modern timelines both)

jokes aside, i think these are the Only times he smiles in ph…. can’t say that super definitively, but it’s defs close…. all his smiles are so pretty though… smth abt how his serious face translates to the most genuine smiles felt to the core of his being.. convincing him to smile must feel like the sun coming out after a week of rainstorms!!!!!!! GODDDDD!!!!

omg… it must be so elusive……. getting him to laugh would make gen feel like she’s floating on air for the next three weeks. oswald laughs and she’s ascended. she’s got wings now. so do, like, thousands of fairies. it’s so hard getting oswald to laugh and now gen’s one of the blessed few to see it.

🙋🏼‍♀️ <- huge fan of boy falling first trope!!!!!! it’s oswald, but he feels like he can’t confess since he’ll be the new head of the baskervilles… he’s got other Responsibilities, with a capital R, so he shouldn’t get distracted w a relationship… and yet he’ll be the first to ask gen for a dance whenever the situation arises. he does NOT want anyone else to be with her 😤

OSWALDDD, mostly bc gen has more suitors than oswald has admirers. genevieve’s vv pretty and nice, so of COURSE ppl want to ask after her (before they figure out there’s something wrong with her 😘). oswald hates it every time. he SAYS he’s interrupting their advances so he can save gen the inevitable heartbreak, and while that IS a result of his actions, it is NOT the driving motivator for them. but then oswald will distance himself the Moment his responsibility comes calling, so it’s like… honey…. YOU are hurting her….

😚 - What was your first kiss like?

their first kiss was kinda shy, but also rlly, rlly personal.. it happens because they’re semi-aware that they’re blurring the lines of friendship and romantic relationship. they feel a little ridiculous for putting off kissing each other for a while, since they were already used to sleeping in the same bed (for varying reasons) for a while, and they hold hands all the time, and they share drinks and food constantly. why wouldn’t they have kissed sooner??

when jacks is a fate, it’s extra intimate, because he gets to kiss chrysi with no consequences. it makes him even shyer. suddenly, he’s feeling exposed. his kiss is supposedly worth dying for.. but when the girl won’t die, maybe he’ll find out that’s not true.. (<- this isn’t actually his main concern 💀 but that’s what he’s going to claim it is!! mostly, he jst hopes chrysi likes kissing him ;;; )

THEY ARE GOING ON LONG WALKS TO THE LIGHTHOUSE AND BACK. hunting for sea glass + seashells. talking. chrysi keeps trying to shove jacks into the water and he keeps his grip on her hand so she falls in with him. they end up sitting at the edge of the surf & letting the waves wash up around them while they talk. sometimes kiss. chrysi DEFINITELY starts making a sandcastle and gets, like, really weirdly intense abt it. jacks wishes they’d remembered to bring water 💀 help him.
