Losing my mind bc I'm trying to figure out a Madcom timeline for personal lore. And I dont know where to put Arena Mode...

Maybe bc of all the timeline incongruencies, Arena Mode happens in its own version of Nevada/the Occurant? And Enmeshing the Mandatus keeps that iteration of Nevada alive

In the *main* Nevada, I imagine that characters like Skinner, Chopper Dave, and Qbert are still part of SQ

Another timeline thing: I'm placing MC1 somewhere between Nexus City's prime and its fall. Maybe the beginning of the Madness and the effects of the Great Awakening (grunts gaining sapience basically) affected Nevada retroactively? Since the Machine, which was affected by all of this, regulates (and *is*) reality, then it presumably regulates the past as well.

Bc of this, Marshmellow Madness and MC1 as we know them were essentially overwritten. That early version of Nevada does still exist in a way, but it's been "archived" in the Nowhere, so to speak. Most of the gen 1 grunts from early Nevada also got archived.

Im not that fond of messing with time stuff when it comes to storytelling, but I think the idea of timeline shit happening is interesting

sometimes i like to think that like. the rest of the world exists in the madcom universe and is for the most part normal, mainly aside from 1: grunts, 2: the states immediately surrounding Nevada are like. hypermilitarized with the sole purpose of making sure whatever the fuck happens in nevada, *stays* in nevada. like. either sheriff consumed way too much cowboy content and decided that he is That Guy, or he's actually a native born texan and made the mistake of taking a job offer in nevada.

not even mentioning Dave (who is agonizingly british /com), QBert, Crackpot or literally like half the enemies in general - there are plenty of non american fuckers in nevada and it's really funny thinking they could've just had a normal life until they were either sent or went themselves to nevada and sealed their fates

also there's a rogue improbability drive that somehow is somewhere in florida

May I offer for PMD au, Kecleon!Q-Bert and Riolu!Player.

Kecleon Qbert, because kecleon merchants were scary enough, now here's one that's armed to the teeth.

And for the player character, a Riolu, because frankly, the mental image of a riolu just kicking ass is funny to me (and i fucking love riolu, one of my favorite mons)

also arena player as riolu, thats neato actually. (im biased to the riolu line cause of pkmn X&Y so. yeah i get that. funni furry)

personally for the arena player id go with like. probably an eevee with each eeveelution in varying degrees of fucked up to accommodate each origin (im too lazy to list them but you get the idea)

also iiii can only say so much because said au belongs to @moonamite , im planning to sift through the dex later and label the madcom cast w/ my own mons and draw that up. im just kinda here LOL
