CHAPTER THREE; "Awkward is an understatement."

{Y/N} flinched back slightly, eyes widening. Mr. Larkson was staring straight at her now. The two made eye contact, interest on his scarred face. She kept her eyes trained on him, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. After a minute or two of intense eye contact, {Y/N} looked away, swallowing thickly. 'It.. doesn't matter. Not gonna talk to him if I have any say in it.' she thought to herself firmly, stalking off to one of the other patrons. Almost half an hour had passed, and {Y/N} had forgotten all about the mobster sitting a few tables away, busying herself with preparing drinks. That was until she looked over slightly, and saw him sitting at a bar stool. She swore her heart stopped. When did he even get there? Soon though, she felt annoyance bubble to the surface. One thing. She wanted one thing - to avoid him. And now he was somewhere she couldn't ignore him. Begrudgingly, {Y/N} made her way slowly to him. She didn't want to, but she'd never hear the end of it from her boss if she ignored a patron. So, once she had found herself in front of the man, she offered her best smile. "What'll it be?" She asked in an almost chipper tone, though all she wanted to do was get the fuck out of there.

The man took one last drag on his cigar, before snuffing it out on the pub table in front of him. When he finally spoke, {Y/N} wished he had kept his mouth shut. His voice was rasped, gruff. It sounded almost guttural. She assumed the reason for his disturbing voice was all the scars - made her wonder how he had gotten such a bad injury. "You got Aquavit?" He had asked, leaning forward across the counter slightly. ..Aquavit? Okay, now that was something {Y/N} was sure they didn't have. {Y/N} shook her head, "Eh.. no, I don't think so." For a moment or two, his face went sour, "Well.. whatever." A small grin spread on his face, "Y'know, you're quite the sight," he mused, raising his eyebrows, "Got a name?" In that moment, every red-flag went off in {Y/n}'s mind. She didn't want this murderer knowing her name! But she wasn't stupid, and knew it was much easier to answer his question. "..{Y/N}, I'm {Y/N} {L/N}." He whistled appreciatorily, "{Y/N} {L/N}, eyh? Gorgeous." He chuckled. Truth be told; {Y/N} wanted to get the fuck out of here. Perhaps to Tord, he was having the time of his life, finally able to talk to his little lady. But {Y/N}? This was horrifying. She didn't want to be associated with some murderer

Lone Digger AU.

I love this song and the drawing style of the official video so I wanted to do this experiment with the boys for this set. I just want to see them happy having a good time so nobody has to die… for now 💖. I also added the tag “#EW Lone Digger AU” in case you want to share anything related to this AU.

My idea for this AU is that after knowing each other in The Lone Digger Bar and becoming friends they begin to get together every week to chat about their lives. For Tord this is fine as this bar is the safest place in his domains to share with his new friends (Paul and Patrick notice how Tord is more happy now) but Edd, Matt and Tom start to get interested in the mafia world due to the incredible stories that Tord has told them and they ask to join him. Tord doesn’t want to risk his new friends and stops showing up. Our main trio keeps going at the bar every week until they see Paul and Patrick getting drunk and start asking them questions. Finally, after explaining the main reason they stopped showing up they told them why they were getting drunk: “Red Leader has been kidnapped a week ago and we have no clue of where he could be”.

I have no idea where this is going since I’m horrible at writing stories but… maybe some panels… I can’t promise anything.

Did I ever mention that Victoria is a ghost that roams the apartment that the guys have???

Well here's the goofy background in a nutshell: Victoria was arrested for running an underground mafia in England, yet got bailed out by a rich Norwegian politician (Tord's grandfather). He offered her two choices, either to marry him and raise his kids as a housewife, or be killed for being a useless waste of his time and money. Obviously, she choses to marry him, aaaand their relationship is dramatic to say the least. Throughout the ten year marriage, the two of them raise five children, go through several affairs and often get into arguments. On the day of their tenth anniversary Victoria is killed mysteriously by a hatchet in the foyer of their estate, and is never heard from again. Ironically, when cleaning out the attic of the estate, Tord (Victoria's grandchild) stumbles across an ouija board that her spirit had been possessing ever since her untimely death. Tord, being the idiot that he is, brings the ouija board home for a good Saturday game night with his roommates, only to summon the soul of his ancestor who is set to haunt the house until the board is destroyed. No one really minds her being around though, since she mostly cleans the house and scolds the boys for having the hygienic habits of pigs.

This is a collection of over 20+ people, with their own stories and issues with the creators of TBATF.

TBATF is a popular eddsworld comic with a huge fanbase. Of course, these people who all chose to remain anonymous to avoid being attacked and harassed came together and decided enough was enough. We want to make this clear, we aren't jealous of their fame, or who they interact with. We aren't jealous of their fans. We are concern individuals,  who either been hurt, shunned and/or manipulated.  We weren't lurking in the shadows and we certainly aren't liars.  Everything posted below is the truth share between-now friends. Now you have the right to take what we say with a grain of salt but we assure you we aren't lying. For this reason, we will not be referencing anything from the official TBATF comic. The issues with the comic itself are purely speculation and humor is different for everyone.  

What we want from doing this post, is that we all as fans learn to not blindly follow others, and understand that even our favorite people can do horrible things.  We don't want a fandom war, we don't want people being hurt or attacked over their decision after reading this. It just to get the truth out.

This is Jax, one of the creators of TBATF personal discord, and this was her message to this ex-fan. This is horrible, this is disgusting. No matter what, that was a line she decided to cross. Now it's well known, Jax is in her later 20's. Jax is in control of her own actions, and mature enough to know that this is wrong, but she sent it anyway. Now you can say "but maybe they deserve that message". No. They did nothing, and here what happen before Jax sent this.

We have cut out our friend name for their safety, and Eli is a fake name for the sake of avoiding any harassing. This person did nothing wrong, we aren't even sure why Jax was so angry to even start attacking this person. But this is disgusting and shame on her, for thinking she could ever send this to someone.

Manipulation Intentional or not, manipulation can be severely damaging to everybody's mentality and the people around them. One big red flag of manipulation is changing the story and bringing out what seems like "love" and "support" when people start calling you out for bad behaviors. You ever hear the phrase "I didn't mean it, you know I love you"? That is one of the most common manipulation tactics that we see going through the posts that the crew of TBATF has pushed out.

Once criticizing becomes too hard for the crew to bare, they often send out what they call a heartfelt post of "we love you all and don't believe what other people are saying about us" type of post. These contribute to them not only guilt-tripping their audiences to be on their side.  When this offense is repeated, it shows that the crew knows exactly what they're doing is wrong and gathers "supporters" who know absolutely nothing about the full situation and only knows what the TBATF crew tells them.

According to Psychology Today, "guilt trips are a form of verbal or nonverbal communication in which a guilt inducer tries to induce guilty feelings in a target, in an effort to control their behavior. As such, guilt trips are a clear form of psychological manipulation and coercion." In other words, guilt-tripping is the conscious act of forcing your feelings into other people in order to control their decisions and behavior patterns. You control them like sheep and not letting the audience choose their own sides when all the evidence is placed on the table.

On the site "Learning Mind", we learn that there are a few ways that we as a group can recognize blatant guilt-tripping. One of the big ones is the seventh one that is listed "7. You don’t feel as if you can say ‘No’." When it comes to the conditions that TBATF layout, they have strict rules and a narrow mindset, these are big creators that have in the past lashed out at other creators that had different harmless viewpoints. To them, agree to disagree doesn't exist and they don't seem to put those viewpoints past the person in front of them. When younger children interact with these people (we know their fanbase are younger kids) they want to live up to their expectations and don't seem to look at their idol's awful behaviors and instead of blinding themselves to a toxic idolization of a toxic person. It happens often with big YouTubers who have either done appalling things or started dreadful trends.

Anti-Ship/Anti-Fandom

The main rule enforced in the servers any of the creators are mods or admins in having this one rule in common. No Shipping

However, as most know, this is a rule they've been well known for breaking, as long as it's not two men or two women. In their server, they have a strict no ship rule. Which we are aganist, but not for their reason of "avoiding ship wars". The problem is how they do handle the issue when ships is brought up. There a correct way and wrong way of coming at it.People who post art have to do this

or else they get gang on and harassed and their content deleted if the boys are close together or something stupid like that. 

They act like people who draw or write these ships or different fanon ideas as...kinda bad people. 

They seem to act that if you don't follow eddsworld canon, you aren't in the right and people who have interacted with them, came forward and said they felt bad for shipping or for liking certain characters. It's dishearting to hear from people you look too, saying how awful certain things you enjoy when the things you enjoy aren't bad. Shipping isn't bad as long as you respect others. If you ship and someone else doesn't, then that's okay. If you have a headcanon and someone else doesn't, also okay. As long as it isn't a problematic trope, then go for it. But these creators don't seem to understand this, and instead attack and belittle.

Now they used to have blog, which they consider their steampunk au. In said au, each of the boys, or how they phrase it,  their ancestors (while completely identical to the main characters with altered outfits), have a female partner. Three of them are white, except for Tord's wife, who is a whitewashed Japanese character.

The main focus will now be on her, as she is the most problematic. When Tord is portrayed, he is seen as a cheater, along with the other boys every once in a while. When asked why he doesn't get a divorce, he gets a gun put to his head, and states she is the daughter of the leader of the mafia and would kill him if he even tried. They are still portrayed as very sexual with each other, almost ignoring the fact Tord is not willingly with her. It also pushes some stereotypes (usually European) of violent and forceful Asian people, while highly sexualizing her. When cosplayed, she is always depicted as a white woman, as long as she has a large bust. They don't mind this ship and don't get on people either when they ship Eduardo and Laurel. So what assumption are we suppose to make? Hetero ships is fine, but if we make it same-sex couple it's bad?

(This isn’t true in our experience and were all in many servers? This is a trick to try to sell their nonshipping in rule. Like look what happens if we don’t have this rule, the fandom is nasty and horrible and we’re the only safe place)

There still a lot of issues but we figure to end it here and be open to discussion. It took a lot to even decide to get to this point and we want the truth to be out. We're tired of being label as liars, people who are jealous, haters, etc.  Please don't harass anyone, and don't send hate to each other.  Thank you for your time.

CHAPTER ONE; "Protection fee, really?"

{Y/N} sighed, cracking her knuckles. She had been working as a bartender at a particularly.. unkind place. It reeked of blood, gun powder, and unsurprisingly; booze. {Y/N} would be lying if she said she enjoyed any of it. Whenever she'd get an order, from a man, he'd usually slip in some lewd comment on her body, ask if she was free after her shift, something along those sort of lines. It sickened {Y/N} to her core. She wasn't strong enough for this, couldn't handle it the way most of her friends managed to, the way anyone did. Not that she was weak or something, she could hold her own in a fight if she truly needed to, and she certainly knew how to put someone in their place. A small smile tugged at {Y/N}'s lips as she saw Laurel, the blue haired girl striding over to her. "Hey, {Y/N]!" she greeted with a big grin. "Same as usual?" Without waiting for her answer, she had already begun to pour Laurels drink she always got. Whiskey, no ice. Simple, but Laurel would talk about it as if it'd bring you to heaven. Not that {Y/N} paid mind to her praise towards the drink. To be honest, she wasn't much of a drinker. Don't get her wrong, she'd drink sometimes, but wasn't too keen on being drunk, even if she wasn't alone. She had heard of her friends getting into nasty accidents, or having bad things happen under the influence of a stiff drink or two. She didn't want to become one of the women in an cautionary story.

"So, didya' hear they're gunna be putting in a protection fee?" Laurel suddenly asked, an annoyed expression on her pretty face. {Y/N} gasped, horror finding it's way onto her expression, "No!" Laurel laughed, nodding, "Yeah! Fuckin' stupid if you ask me," Her voice went quiet, her eyes darting around the room, "..Y'know, I think we should get outta here sometime. Just us." Laurel grinned again, chugging the rest of her Whiskey. A scoff escaped {Y/N} and she rolled her eyes "We both know neither of us make enough to do so, Laurel." She said in a matter-of-factly sort of tone, eliciting a groan from the blue haired woman, "Oh, c'mon, {Y/N}! Have some hope!" "Oh, yeah, like hope you'll pay your tab?" Laurel gasped at this, furrowing her eyes, "{Y/N}! Have faith in a gal! I always keep my word." {Y/N} merely snorted, shaking her head. A few small grumbles left Laurel before she set her glass down and stood, "Well, whateva'. I'm heading out." She paused, leaning forward with her eyebrows raised, "Mind givin' me some cash?" A light blush appeared on {Y/N}'s cheeks, and she scoffed, shaking her head, "Banks closed, Laurel." Laurel snapped her fingers, chuckling, "Worth a shot, toots. Chao!" With that, Laurel walked out, waving her hand to {Y/N}. Laurel always brightened {Y/N]'s mood. More than a lot of her friends.

Lemme start and say this is like. No shade to anyone and everyone is allowed to play characters how they want and be canon divergent, that’s fine. This is basically me talking as the FANDOM, aka, not RPers for the most part, but people who take the canon and try and put their fanon in as like. Truth and word of canon and all that.

Really tired of people like. Making these characters so one dimensional and other completely bastardizing them dude.

For example, I’ve talked a LOT about how the fandom makes Alastor out to be. I’ve seen SO many posts trying to theorize Alastor being not so bad a guy and getting redeemed (and falling in love with Charlie cus she SAVED HIM UWU) or whatever.

Like. Just let him be a villain dude. Let him be bad!! You can like an evil character dude!! You don’t have to try and excuse him or hope for a redemption !! If you have to have a redemption arc or try and jump through hoops to prove their not ALL bad to like a villain, you don’t like them you like the idea of them

One I don’t think I have talked about is Vaggie

People boil Vaggie to just a hot headed lesbian. That’s it.

When really she’s only ever shown Angry like… No way near the amount of time she’s been shown any other emotion.

I can only think of three times she’s been shown legit angry, at the camera man, in the limo, and with Alastor.

And wow, every time she was angry it was within reason? She only ever really BLEW UP with Angel, because he was being a fucking dick, and with Alastor because, it’s fucking Alastor.

Like if anything she’s shown to be rather like… Unsure of herself and kind of insecure. She’s very caring and compassionate and she cares a lot about Charlie. People really do sleep on Vaggie and treat her as Charlie’s angry accessory GF.

AND DON’T GET ME FUCKING STARTED ON ANGEL DUST BABY!!

I’ve seen SO MANY TIMES people boil Angel’s character to one dimensional. Hehehe he’s just a horny gay spider who’s a dick or whatever. Like he has a lot of depth behind it and we see bits and pieces of it but no the fandom just picks him up as a fucking. Horny sexual harasser.

This was a HUGE problem in the Homestuck fandom, and it was at least understandable because Homestuck is like over 8k pages long, not even including the flash games and shit. But just. Good god man I’m so tired of all these cold takes.

And you know what I’m gonna rant again bout how the fandom treated Molly.

I remember back in the day just barely this, and I know my friend Tord also told me about it, but they used to treat and write Molly off as uwu innocent babu spider who did nothing wrong and was just a baby.

Like she came from a CRIME FAMILY. SHE WAS IN AN ITALIAN MAFIA HOUSEHOLD. She was named after the drug ecstasy and was given eyes to match it. AND AT THE TIME, FOR WHAT EVERYONE KNEW, SHE WAS IN HELL! So it’s just.
