Sailor Moon's henshin ribbons are always loose and flowing while Madoka's are so tight that she can't move and they're borderline cutting off her circulation. Probably some kind of metaphor in there somewhere.

My favorite thing about this game is how you can have the most beautifully crafted live2d model with shimmering sparkly hair and an ornate outfit with subtle shading and then the next live2d model will be this little purple critter creature with skrunkly Mura art and you're just supposed to buy that these two opposing art styles are meant to be best friends harmoniously together

I wound up thinking a lot about Magia Record this past week, since the game just ended its seven years of service. So, when my FFXIV FC held a fashion contest with the theme "painter," I knew exactly what I had to do for my entry!

Here's to Alina Gray: unsettling artist, megalomaniacal villain, and beloved senpai. A prodigy who ran from her fame while seeing beauty in the strangest places, which she then pursued it with her whole heart. Wait, no, Alina, put that back I didn't mean your literal heart -

Olga’s doppel is huge.

I know this is set in the past where doppels don't actually exist, but can you imagine if Olga was from the present day instead? You’re fighting alongside your friend and she’d about to summon a doppel so you hang back, you know, give her a little room, and then a fucking bigass boat drops on your head, killing you instantly. Hell, maybe Olga also destroys nearby buildings and shit with this doppel summon as well. Everything is in ruins.
