the ideal explanation/dynamic/etc for o!jordan and o!scott’s colors merging is still that they’re soulmates for the sole dichotomy of scott going “oh fuck what do you mean THIS guy is my soulmate i can’t stand his guts he is the physical reminder of all my flaws what kind of sick joke is this” with maximum angst vs jordan in the corner just going “huh. i didn’t even know i liked men. okay” and just moving on

"i was one of those, once," scott mutters bitterly, glaring up at the night sky with nothing short of true malice. jordan hums, questioning, so scott continues, "a star. i sometimes wonder if i was the only one, or if every star is someone like me."
he doesn't know which is worse. the selfish part of him wants others to be suffering alongside him. the hurt part of him wants no one to have to have gone through the same thing he did.

honestly i joke about my schlarklez being toxic yaoi but like. with the exception of some college shenanigans + the Initial Adam Incident they’re like. barely even anything. at best they’re a 1 on the toxic yaoi scale. they’re more annoyances than anything which is Not healthy but in the grand scale of things could be much worse. my REAL toxic yaoi is in my majorcaptain bullshit that i never post about but think about every fucking day
#icarus speaks#referring to the cosmicverse stuff w stella here#it takes. a VERY long time for those two to become normal about things#probably only even kicking in when stella’s in her like. mid to late teens#short version of it is that. to no one’s surprise. being gifted a bandaid child does not help your issues#stella’s presence worsens scott’s perception of himself/role in the server#bc he’s just getting tied in with jordan again. it’s nothing but a punch to the gut#and he does try to not let that show in front of stella but. it’s hard sometimes#and ofc jordan’s oblivious bc for a LONG time scott doesn’t share his feelings#so he continues to be his peppy and hero-worshipping self to scott#worsening the cycle even further#it is. Not Good over there !#stella spends. so much of her childhood with aunt shubble
