What strikes me about your post about the love of your family after announcing your engagement is that this is another way women are encouraged to couple with men. The same way women are rewarded for wearing makeup bc everyone jumps on complimenting it, women who accept marriage with men get showered with so much affection and attention. Did they shower you with that attention when you graduated school or a certification program? Did they support, celebrate, and pour love on you when you moved into a good house (bought or renting) did they shower you with love when you decided to get a puppy? Like what is it about marriage that makes people fall over themselves to uphold that as a huge success worthy of increased attention and love? Like I do get that weddings usually take a lot of sustained effort until the Big Day and so it makes sense for your family to help you, but so does going through school/ saving for a house, whatnot. I'm also not saying they straight up don't support you otherwise, but this is on a different level, as you said yourself. So while I'm happy for you and I'm glad you're getting an outpouring of love, I do notice this pattern and I feel like it contributes to the pressure for women to marry. Other women see the attention and affection it affords you and they want that too! It feels so good to know you're loved! Of course women will seek that out when we're usually dismissed and criticised for most things, expected to do things on our own or our success taken for granted. But getting married, getting pregnant, and wearing more makeup are all awarded and celebrated very openly, and shown to other women and that pattern is troubling. Why aren't women supported like this for moves that make them more independent? I think we know why.... Just thinking about it.
It's on me, knowing my audience, that my post about how my brain is a funny thing and how exciting it is to be reminded how much people who I already know love me actually do love me would be perceived, and again I appreciate the sentiment in general of wanting to theorize about womanhood, and I don't have to post this ask...but yes of course my family and friends very much love me and have been there for me through all sorts of trials and triumphs, it was the point of the post, it just wasn't written very specifically. Yes, there are probably a lot of women who get married to experience love and acceptance from their family, but it's not me. In fact, for full transparency, that post was written about being nervous asking a female friend to be a bridesmaid because I was worried it was breaking some "secret social contract" I often feel overly cautious of presuming a person likes me more than they do and over stepping some sort of "oh, this is awkward you're asking me this that's too intimate" line, but instead she was overjoyed and cried and I cried and I realize again, because it's a lesson I learn every single day (because of the particular way my brain is funny) how I sometimes stop myself from certain aspects of life due to being overly cautious about the comfort of others despite being told many many many times that people love me and my company and love my friendship. I thought at worst she'd be like 😬 and at best she'd be like 👍 but instead she was like 💕💕💕💕 which is like duh of course she was I'm a lovable person and she's my friend so then I made the post lol

Hello! I've heard your cry and offer a Hurt/Comfort idea/request!
Okay, how about Qiu and Tamarack react to MC, who had been a cheerful child throughout their childhood and early teenhood, beginning to break down from the hardship of becoming adults, but refuse to stop smiling or let others know about their struggles because they don't know what else to do...
"When my heart breaks (they never see it, never see it)
When my world shakes (I feel alive, I feel alive)
I don't play it safe (ooh), don't you know about me? (Uh-huh)
I could dance, I could dance, I could dance..."
'Dance The Night' By Dua Lipa
Hope that this was good enough!
*consumes your idea.* Love it @beawesome04
I know people have different experiences with school. As well that I slightly moved away from the fear of growing up to the fear of failing and/or not being good enough. However, I feel like those two fears deeply tie into each other. Regardless, I had so much fun writing this <3 Take care of yourself lovelies!
It was hard to believe Fall was coming again. Junior year could be arguably the hardest, depending on who you were. Most people kicked back and relaxed for senior year, but not for you. You were pushing yourself to the limit, perhaps a little bit beyond.
You were a bright student, school used to be easy for you. It's not that you knew everything, you just caught on quickly enough to make it seem you were great at everything. And it was clear how growing up thinking you could do everything has effected you.
Praise and rewards everywhere you turned. On shelves from any activity, awards from school, pictures of you on days of achievements, sometimes even stellar report cards. You used to feel great for all your achievements, now it was all different.
Highschool doesn't pat you on the back as easily as elementary and secondary school did. You had to work, not that you didn't but you had to work hard. Teacher's with different expectations, ideals, approaches, and styles. But that wasn't close to the root of the problem.
Reminding. The dreaded reminder you're going to be an adult soon, you'll be on your own. No one is going to praise you, help you, assist you, or teach you. You got 12 years to prepare yourself for the real work and you felt as if you had wasted 10 of those years.
You staked yourself on advanced placement classes and duel-enrollment. That's where you began to fall apart. Those past achievements only reminded you of how you were not achieving anymore, it felt like a fall from grace. You kept pushing yourself to be better than you could manage, and it was beginning to show. It became a habit to come to school early and have Renee help you with makeup to hide lack of sleep. Sometimes, she fixed up your hair and outfit while you did more school work.
You just left the counseling office after trying to schedule a meeting for awhile. One look at your grades and the counselor decided that absolutely jampacking your schedule full of duel and AP classes was the best idea for your future. Pushing the idea of college wasn't a problem. You could go or not go, that was easy enough considering you have already been reached out to by multiple through a program given by AP. No, it was the idea of having to leave home, to go somewhere new and learn a whole new area. You couldn't just go home to mom anymore, you had to help yourself. And you didn't know how.
The walk home was terrible, leaving you to wallow in your thoughts. The walk past that wall, that God damn wall. You wanted to tear it down for all it was worth. Break every trophy, every hand-made item, every damned certificate. You were not worth an area for everyone to see, not worth a space outside of your room.
The second you entered your room, you dropped the backpack on the floor. And room seemed to get more and more disgusting every single time you entered. Qiu said it wasn't bad as their own, Tamarack said it had it's own charm, Renee often often would comment on how she would clean for a granola bar, and mom only mentioned how she wouldn't mind washing your clothing (honestly all said "mess" seemed to be clothing) but you always felt terrible about it. But you didn't have time for that. You took out the commetically large binder full of all kinds of work. You started on it until a piercing headache overtook your senses. It hurt, but you had too much work to do, too much to get done to stop now.
Knocking on the door before it opened. Right there stood Qiu and Tamarack, you had forgotten you had agreed to go out to town with them today. You felt like a mess as your heart dropped about forgetting an agreement made between two people you deeply cared about. You immediately stood up, and tried to apologize profusely. When did you start crying? Was it just now or before?
You tried to make your apology but before you could get even three words in, Qiu made their way and gently covered your mouth.
"Quite. Don't apologize, we know you are, let's just put everything away and hang out." Qiu looked around. You looked down, mortified beyond belief. Everything was a mess, you were a mess. You never felt like this before. What happened to being capable? Being enough?
"If it makes you feel better, our AP project was pushed back a week!" Tamarack was so right, that did make you feel so much better. You could temporarily focus on other classes.
"Not today. This is hang out time." Qiu gently wacked you in the back of the head with a packet of work from the floor. Were you that readable? That work seemed to be due soon... Apparently, you were that readable as you learn when Qiu wacked you with it again.
"O-oh yeah! Granny got a movie for us from the redbox!" Tamarack gently lifted the flap of her satchel, presenting a new release. Well, as new and 3 months could possibly be.
"Let's clean up. We can all kill ourselves
The next few moments consisted of picking up around the room. Qiu throwing clothing into a corner, Tamarack was tidying thing around and helping you put away all the papers on the ground. The fact they knew your room said way too much about you. But it felt comforting that they knew you well. You hoped they were proud of you. You think they were from how both Qiu and Tamarack cared for you.
Qiu completely uprooted your bed of all it's blankets and pillows. Tamarack gave them a scowl, only response she got from Qiu was a shrug.
"Be glad I didn't take the sheet too."
"Might as well take the mattress woth you as well." You smiled.
Yeah, yeah this was good. You felt better. You still had work to do, that didn't change, but this? Not focusing on it for a change felt healthy. One or two missed assignments felt insignificant when given the chance to have out with the closest people in your life.

What do I do?
Hello everyone,
Welcome! I just wanted to give you all a peek at what I like to do. My background is in fine arts and fiber arts and I am more than happy to teach people that are willing to learn.
Since the tender age of....well, I could hold a crayon, I have been fascinated with drawing characters- people and animals, and that inclination was fostered from that point on. I always enjoyed art class in school and have loved creating all sorts of things.
What I do in the "fine arts" realm is mainly portrait painting and still life, as well as apparel painting. To exemplify this further, my portrait painting, mainly acrylic, falls into mostly pet portraiture and some human portraits. I like to paint still life scenes on greeting cards. My apparel painting is mainly the backs of denim jackets, which is my favorite puzzle to figure out.
My life and love of art has been a rocky relationship to say the least. While I had received praises for my creativity from a young age, I had not achieved the notoriety that I had hoped for, as some of my peers had done, so I felt inadequate. Those feelings were only amplified during my years in college. I would spend countless all-nighters, pouring myself into the creative process of my projects only to be told that I was essentially, still inadequate, by my professors and fellow students. I had been told in so many words, that since I didn't already know all of the technical aspects of subjects like drawing, painting, and sculpture, that I would not be taught, because making up "reasons" for my artwork, that expression was more valuable than technique and process. While I do believe that expression of the artist is important, it's not everything. According to my professors, the explanation of "I like it" or "it's pretty so I wanted to make it" wasn't good enough. Things had only been made harder by not being properly medicated for anxiety and ongoing digestive issues (I couldn't drink with the students or even have a refreshing cup of coffee in the morning without getting sick, so I missed out on a lot of communal time with my peers).
It wasn't until after my first stint at university and a few years of inner turmoil later that I finally started to heal my relationship with art. I entered into an associate program for Special Makeup Effects, and later a certification course for Fantasy Art. When I entered the Fantasy Art course, the teacher informed me that I was wrong about my inability to paint and draw, that my previous teachers had been wrong. That all I needed to do was try and actually learn how to use materials "properly". It was there that I learned how to do more advanced acrylic painting, drawing, and airbrushing. My confidence rose because I finally felt like I was appreciated for being able to do even an inkling of art, that my ideas weren't dumb, and that the process matters as much as the expression.
Still, not being properly medicated, I did slump back into depression and didn't do a lot of work for several years, but in 2020, I decided to pick up the paint brush and have a go once more. I started with simplified, illustrated style paintings, but after practicing again and finding something I liked painting, I got back into doing what I do now, the portraits and the apparel.
Fiber arts appeared in my life shortly after I learned to draw, probably around the age of five. My aunt taught me how to crochet the chain stitch, which resulted in MILES and MILES of chains everywhere. I eventually learned how to actually continue with other stitches to create all sorts of things from toys to a pair of slippers for my dad. Around the age of 8, my "sort of" grandmother taught me the basics of knitting when I was staying with them for a while in the summer. Granted, she had only shown me garter stitch, but from there I shot off and learned so much more. After these humble starts, I ended up teaching myself more advanced stitches from books and sources like YouTube. Over the years I would say that I am an advanced intermediate with my skills, but not quite to expert, and definitely not a master (there actually is a master set of courses for knitting-- after having an explanation of what they were I decided I didn't need to be a master, lol.). My favorite things to make in both knitting and crochet is shawls, and I love if they are somewhat complicated, or at least have a lot of variety. It was in my 20s that I learned how to spin yarn from a friend at a retreat, and now it's one of my favorite hobbies. I find it very relaxing. My goal with spinning is to eventually learn to spin cobweb thickness yarn and knit a Shetland style wedding shawl from it.
Needless to say, It's been up and down, as any person would have in their lives, but I am at a good stasis at this point.
I do painting for commission work now, but not fiber arts, as the latter takes a LOT of time and the labor cost is outrageous, so if you get something I've knitted or crocheted, consider yourself lucky, lol.
If you are interested in seeing my artwork or want to contact me for a commission, please feel free to hit this link: https://linktr.ee/hideous_swamp_witch_designs
The best way to contact me is through my email, but feel free to peruse my other links on the page! I have a few examples of my work on this post as well :)

I might have set the feminism movement back with this thought BUT:
College is for smart big girls who have a future, it is SO not for pretty girls who still can’t figure out how to add and subtract negative and positive numbers.
I think I’m unfortunately doomed to be a housewife to a man. Which that scares me because that’s a man. Like- I have to live with him for like forever y’know? But on the plus side at least my only job is to be pretty and cook.
Oh honey. Honey no
I’m gonna big sister you a bit here because I think you need it.
First of all, when I started uni I was a pretty girl who still couldn’t add or subtract negative and positive numbers, and now I’m a pretty girl who can (sometimes), but also I know so many people in college and uni who suck at math. If you’re not in a STEM field, math post secondary doesn’t really matter all that much. I failed calculus is high school, but that’s ok because in my psychology program the only math I’ve had to do is statistics. Really. Math doesn’t matter unless you want to do stuff that requires math.
Second of all, college isn’t for everyone. That’s fine, it doesn’t need to be. In fact there’s a ton of other jobs you can get without it. Trades are VERY lucrative right now in a lot of places, and that doesn’t just mean things like plumbing or doing electrical work. Doing hair dressing, being a makeup artist, a lash tech, doing things like laser hair removal are all considered trades. Seriously, if you think post secondary is for you look into trades. Even things like lifeguarding that require a few certifications can be great jobs and you can always find a different career path as you get older. (That said, if you WANT to do post secondary education but you just don’t think you’re smart enough, that’s a different issue. If that’s the case you gotta work on building your self confidence. I know it’s easier said than done, but the world will seem so much bigger once you get to a point where you believe in yourself.)
Third, and this is the most important thing: NEVER EVER tie yourself to a man to provide for you without having any backup plan or other options. It’s INCREDIBLY dangerous. If you genuinely want to be a housewife, good for you, you should do that, but realize that a) managing a household is a TON of work, a lot of it is thankless, and none of it is paid, b) those pretty tradwives you see online are LYING to you, and c) you should still always have a way to leave, and part of having a way to leave is having skills that make you hireable. Keep a secret bank account or stash of money, and have somewhere to go or someone who will take you in if things go south. Seriously. It’s ALWAYS better to live with a shitty roommate than a shitty partner. A safe apartment is better than an unsafe house. Financial independence is SO important, and it’s important to always be employable even if you’re not always employed. PLEASE pursue some sort of job, even if you don’t pursue higher education, and never ever rely on someone else to provide for you 100% without a backup plan because that is how you end up in an abusive situation. Trust me. I’ve seen it. If you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to pursue a career, please do it, it’s one of the biggest things you can do to keep yourself safe.
I’m not trying to scare you, but this ask genuinely scared me. I don’t know if you were joking but on the off chance you weren’t I just really want to make sure you hear this. Much love xx

Eyeliner Market Drivers: Rising Beauty Trends, Innovation, and Digital Influence
The global eyeliner market is experiencing significant growth, fueled by evolving beauty trends, technological innovation, and the expanding influence of social media. Eyeliner, a cosmetic staple for defining and enhancing the eyes, has become an essential product in beauty routines worldwide. The market is being propelled by multiple factors, including increasing demand for long-lasting and smudge-proof products, the rise of e-commerce, and growing consumer interest in clean and cruelty-free beauty options.

Growing Demand for Long-lasting and Waterproof Formulas
One of the primary drivers of the eyeliner market is the increasing consumer preference for durable and waterproof cosmetic products. Modern consumers seek makeup that can withstand sweat, humidity, and extended wear without smudging or fading. This demand has led manufacturers to innovate with advanced formulations, including gel-based and liquid eyeliners that offer precision and extended wear. Additionally, the development of quick-drying and hypoallergenic products caters to individuals with sensitive eyes, further expanding the market's appeal.
The popularity of water-resistant and smudge-proof eyeliners is particularly evident among working professionals and individuals with active lifestyles, as these products provide long-lasting performance and convenience.
Influence of Social Media and Beauty Influencers
The eyeliner market is heavily influenced by social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Beauty influencers, makeup artists, and celebrities regularly showcase bold and creative eyeliner looks, setting new trends and inspiring consumers worldwide. Viral makeup tutorials and product reviews accelerate consumer awareness and purchasing decisions, especially among younger demographics.
Trends such as graphic eyeliner, colored liners, and artistic designs have gained traction, driving demand for a wide variety of eyeliner types, including pencil, liquid, gel, and pen formats. Social media also allows brands to directly engage with consumers, launch limited-edition products, and leverage user-generated content to boost sales.
Expanding E-commerce and Digital Retail Channels
The growth of e-commerce has revolutionized the eyeliner market by enhancing product accessibility and offering consumers a convenient shopping experience. Online beauty retailers, brand websites, and multi-brand platforms provide an extensive range of eyeliner products with detailed descriptions, reviews, and virtual try-on features.
Digital platforms also enable brands to reach global audiences, target niche markets, and offer personalized product recommendations based on consumer preferences. The convenience of online shopping, combined with influencer marketing and promotional campaigns, has contributed significantly to market expansion, particularly in emerging economies.
Rising Popularity of Clean and Cruelty-Free Cosmetics
The increasing consumer focus on ethical and sustainable beauty products is driving demand for clean, vegan, and cruelty-free eyeliners. Consumers are becoming more conscious of ingredient transparency, environmental impact, and animal welfare, prompting many brands to reformulate their products to align with these values.
Leading beauty companies are investing in eco-friendly packaging, plant-based ingredients, and certification programs to meet consumer expectations. The rising availability of organic and natural eyeliners, free from harmful chemicals such as parabens and sulfates, is attracting health-conscious consumers and contributing to the market's growth.
Urbanization and Rising Disposable Incomes
Rapid urbanization and increasing disposable incomes, particularly in developing regions such as Asia-Pacific, are key drivers of the eyeliner market. As urban populations grow, so does exposure to global fashion and beauty trends, leading to higher adoption of cosmetic products, including eyeliners.
Rising purchasing power enables consumers to explore premium and luxury beauty brands, while affordable options from mass-market players ensure accessibility across different income groups. The growing working female population and changing lifestyles further contribute to the demand for versatile and convenient eye makeup products.
Innovation in Product Design and Application
Product innovation plays a vital role in driving the eyeliner market. Brands are continually introducing innovative applicators, ergonomic designs, and multi-functional products to enhance user experience. Pen-style eyeliners with precision tips, ergonomic grips, and dual-ended designs offering different finishes have become popular for their ease of application and versatility.
Additionally, technological advancements such as long-wear formulations, smudge-proof technology, and vibrant color ranges appeal to diverse consumer preferences. Brands that prioritize innovation and product differentiation are well-positioned to capitalize on the market's growth opportunities.
Conclusion
The eyeliner market is poised for sustained growth, driven by a combination of evolving beauty trends, technological innovation, social media influence, and consumer demand for ethical and high-performance products. As brands continue to innovate and expand their offerings, the market is expected to witness increased competition and diversification, catering to the dynamic needs of beauty consumers globally.
