I always go with Weretiger!Mina because of her drama ‘Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter’ where her character can turn into a tiger. As for Dwarf!Yoojung, I’m thinking Witch!Yoojung and I’ve also decided to change Selkie!Doyeon to Mermaid!Doyeon and Siren!Sejeong to Banshee!Sejeong. I think I still need a Gumiho and to figure out what nymph, Nymph!Sohye is and if I want to make Chimera!Kyulkyung more like a Teen Wolf Chimera or not.

You know how some dramas you click with and some you absolutely don’t. I really tried so hard to get into this drama but I figured when I hit up to episode eight and still felt nothing it was time to move on. The acting was totally fine the overall production,seemed fine, just the storyline was at least for me a bit too out there, that’s not to say it’s bad. It’s about a fairy who is looking for her reincarnated husband after 800 years. She only appears young to those who she wants too. Her daughter and son? (transform) is a plant and animal and she has the ability to communicate to all living things. 🤷‍♀️For me it was too much in a slow pace time. Like they were writing it as they were airing it. Certain things work, others well for me uh….didn’t. Still I would try it out at least once since it’s one of those you never know.

Synopsis :

The story follows a fairy who, after losing her clothes while bathing, meets a woodcutter and marries him. After her husband’s accidental death she waits for him to be reincarnated. She is a 699-year-old barista and, to ordinary people, appears very old, but to special people she appears young. She also has the ability to converse with plants.

My thoughts on this drama :

This drama had some mitigated responses when it aired. It's really hate it or like it. I liked it. A lot. Immensely! It's a fairy tale. It's beautiful and sad and cute and everything you need after a bad day. Moon Chae Won was the perfect choice to play a sweet and kind fairy. It had everything that makes a good drama to me: a beautiful story, a well chosen cast, nice music, some magic, and the right amount of sadness, laugh and love.

I would be the first to admit that the drama Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter has its issues - personally, I only care about one of the three main storylines - but at the same time when it’s good then it’s REALLY good.

Yes, I’m still very much smitten with Kim Geum & Professor Jung’s relationship, thank you for asking. When Professor Jung admitted to Mrs. Fairy that he and Kim Geum were as close as brothers, that he could actually sense Kim Geum even when they were apart, that he always knew where Kim Geum was and what he was doing... 

And I love that they’re both finally starting to remember their past lives. And I also love how the show treats reincarnation. Because one of them was first a woman, then a man, a man and a man again. The other was a woman, then a woman again, then a deer (O.o!!!) and now a man. But they always gravitated towards each other, they met again and again, as they were destined by the gods. And gosh almighty do I adore this!

And it also helps that Yoon Hyun Min (Professor Jung) and Seo Ji Hoon (Kim Geum) have an incredible chemistry and you can literally feel how much they enjoy their scenes together, their characters’ goofing around.

Also, in this ep, at the very end, we found out how Professor Jung and Kim Geum became roommates and that was simply precious. Just when you think you can’t love them two idiots more.
