Humor is a rare mood for him. Too quiet, too somber by half, and not with company often enough to socialize, anyway. She’s different. Doesn’t pull away when she finds out what he is — only draws herself closer, embracing him and all his monstrous tendencies. He’s still not sure why. Still can’t bring himself to ask ( can hardly say a goddamn thing in her presence, truthfully ) but she doesn’t seem to care. Vasile’s never been comfortable around another living soul, but maybe that’s where this is headed: familiar ease, companionship.

Artemis sighs, pinching his nasal bone between a finger and thumb in a quiet exasperation. It doesn't last long though, soon turning into a small shake of his head and am even quieter chuckle of fond amusement.

"...Indeed, Damaris... indeed." The skeletal shopkeep murmur, smoothing his hands over the countertop in perhaps a little less exasperation than he'd felt moments ago.

bruised black and blue, that’s what he’s gonna be, come ‘morrow. still. it’s not as if Hidan could resent her for it. it was a good ( a perfect ) hit, even if the ache running through his jaw in the aftermath shaves off half of his appreciation. some quirks:

he uses a lot of filler words, specifically like. he has the cadence of a valley girl in the body of a guy who should've been 24 in 1983.

his handwriting is a scrawl. it's not doctor bad but it's messy and scratchy.

sometimes he wears his headphones when he isn't even listening to anything because he wants people to leave him alone

sings while doing chores. he's a really good singer but like nobody knows this about him because he never sings around people

Sihtric looked up upon hearing the sound of her voice. "It is not so bad..." He shrugged as he examined it just a little more. It wasn't uncommon to come back from a battle with bruises, scratches, cuts, and bruises. He had been lucky to walk away with that, but now all he cared for was something to eat and drink. So with Dama being a witch tech, that instantly gets her a better chance at a platonic or family dynamic right off the bat just because he tends to get along better with them in a business sense and with a frequent enough interaction that can lead to either route. Like Clark is >:( with anything else supernatural but if I had to name the top two species/groups he's most likely to get along with it's witches/warlocks && shapeshifters.

Then, obviously, if you manage a platonic dynamic with him that makes it easier to get to a romantic route with him. I don't see them as anything antagonistic besides like vanilla banter and rivalry in a sense, nothing like legit murder each other.

I think if I had to suggest potential dynamics I'd say either a classic bantering besties to bantering lovers or they just stay bantering besties or we end up with squabbling siblings against the world. Just depends on how their interactions go and what vibes we're feeling. :)

When she noticed a customer becoming a little too familiar towards the shopkeeper, Damaris immediately made an attempt to catch his attention by waving her arms overhead. Yes, they could have a close relationship, but she wanted to be sure that the demon wasn’t uncomfortable, as he had a tendency to be a little prude or polite at times. Mouthing “are you okay??” In a slow, exaggerated manner before pointing to the stranger, then punching her palm with a closed fist to signal that the witch was willing to get a little physical. While the gesture could have been interpreted as a joke, it certainly wasn’t. ( she 1000% is just giving off (ง'̀-'́)ง vibes at the slight chance someone is nothing him lmao. Also may not make sense cause I’m at work and typed this hella quick lmao)

This was not as uncommon an occurrence as one would expect for the skeletal-adorned entity. That wasn't to say he HATED the attention, no no... He'd readily admit that sometimes he even enjoyed a good flirt for the fun of it. But that's all it was.. For the fun of it. All in good nature. He'd never be the one to initiate though, goodness no. But sometimes... Even after he's tried to redirect the conversation or bring their attentions elsewhere-- they persisted. He'd not be rude to a customer if he could help it of course... but at times .... there were some that were particularly pushy or overt in their advances. He'd shut them down politely as he could and most did cease. but some did not. Like this one for instance. Try as he might to be amiable to all customers, he did have his limits. He was quickly approaching his.

Ah. And from the corner of his eye spots a pair of human hands flailing upward. Yellow eyes briefly flicker over and catch her as she mouths her silent question, and in response, there is a slight widening of the lights in their empty sockets-- as if widening his eyes for a moment in an exasperated gesture. His current company, despite being seemingly transfixed by him, did not catch it. His head turns then when she mimics violence, and his head tips just so in a subtle decline of her offer. She wouldn't be able to inside the shop with the charm and all anyway. "Ah, pardon me. I apologize, but..." he raises a hand, interrupting the customer in the middle of their sentence, and he leans down a bit in a small, apologetic bow. "It has been a pleasure, but it appears I am needed elsewhere."

And just like that, they say their goodbyes and Artemis makes his way toward where Dama had been standing, passing by her with a side-glance and a very low, very exasperatedly relieved sounding "g o d."
