“March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails turns 30 years old today. The iconic song that was many fans’ introduction to the world of Nine Inch Nails is a single off the unforgettable “The Downward Spiral.”

Words from Joey Cultice on Revolver Magazine, who took the photos above: “The first time I shot them was for Broken. And then they worked on The Downward Spiral and I was in and out doing shoots with them around the time when the record was getting finished. Trent never stops working, even back then. He’d finish a video then go to the recording studio at night. I can’t remember the sound stage, but it was somewhere in Los Angeles.” - Joseph Cultice, 2019.

In celebration of 30 years of “March of the Pigs,” here is a snippet of re-recorded vocals that Trent did for a rhythm game in Fortnite. The song in itself is an alternate extended version than what appears on “The Downward Spiral,” as there are different vocal takes all throughout the song that were resurfaced for the Fortnite Festival. This extended version of “MOTP” reflects how the song is performed live!
