Another post a day early, but why not?! It is Christopher Robin for #julydisneyguys and he is with his #winniethepooh bear. Done completely in #watercolor. This is possibly the sweetest thing I have ever painted. Ever.
The pose is from AA milne’s son and I put him in the #100acrewood :) i painted it live on IG and I think you guys give me so much power!
A day late but I made it somehow:) i drew her in her cabin studying an old Greek architecture book. she looks quirky:) and looks like she is enjoying herself
I almost missed her birthday! Glad a friend reminded me so I took the time to paint this little lady. Annabeth is a really interesting character to paint. She is pretty, in an effortless kind of way and she is a nerd! I often think she is also very organized so i decided on this design
I really liked playing with her look and added Deadalus’ laptop with stickers, a ton of sticky notss and bookmarks. I partially inked her and soft marked her with a brown pencil
I started painting her and I am very proud of this WIP. Her skin looks glorious like this. I paint wet on dry and establish shadows and layer it on
Her eyes look stunning here :) she makes orange look so good! Time for bG
After a few layers i finished her! I will scan tomorrow again!
Prince Eric from Disney’s Little Mermaid on my sketchbook for July Disney Guys! Honestly Eric is a dreamy prince! I loved painting him because he is such a fresh faced prince!
We'll buy a big place in the country. We'll have a plantation. A Dalmatian plantation!
- Roger Radcliffe
Here we go to one of the chicest, dapper and charming Disney men, Roger Radcliffe. The main thing about Roger is that everything he does is so understated, like he’s not even trying; that’s because he’s not. His charm comes from his effortless, bachelor style… maybe also his British accent. Whatever the source of this magic, we like it, and urge all other Disney dudes to roll their sleeves and properly hem their pants.
He is clean cut and pretty and so I decided to put a typically beautiful English man as his model. Who would be better for him than Benedict Cumberbatch? I mean, why not? He has the body type, the height and the style. It is easy to see why he would be my ideal Roger model.
On the painting, I really had fun with this. One of the cleanest paintings I had, I used very vintage colors, as roger is from that era. I used a very old looking palette. The hardest part about this was waiting. <3 I really love this painting style and would go back to this!
I can really see a progression in my style during this paint and I am happy
"I don't handle pressure very well, and that's not good for me, and for the people around me, too."- Alfredo Linguini
Model: Manuel D'Andrea

I feel you, Alfredo. I feel you so much! Lately I have been feeling that kind of pressure and it is driving me mad. But I have my art and I think I can make it through.
This illustration is something that is exciting for me! I asked Manuel D' Andrea if I could use his Linguini cosplay pictures as model for this illustration and he said YES! I am so excited to paint such a wonderful and talented cosplayer. Check him out at @manueldaofficial on instagram.
I also loved how this painting turned out. His expression is my favorite! he looks like he is about to cry. I figured that really going slow is the way to go and i think i have finally mastered my skin! This study has really done wonders for my art
Tarzan: No matter where I go, you will always be my mother.
Kala: And you will always be in my heart.
This was the first non-musical film Disney had I think. It was a fun take on a classic story, and I think it is charming.Tarzan is considered to be the final film of the 'Disney Renaissance'. It's hard to argue with that, as it was the studios last big box office hit and widely acclaimed film for a number of years. I enjoyed this film too, I think it is fun. A change from all the PRINCESS movies is always a good thing. It is a good idea that there should be a guy in the lead for once.
This scruffy man of the jungle was a real fast paint. I got experience with the skin tone from the previous two and learned about the male jawline too. I had fun with his
“Don’t spend your time looking for something you want that can’t be found.”
– Baloo (Jungle Book)
Jungle Book is a movie all kids should see. Even adults, really. The live action was okay and fascinating, but I think what kids should see is the classic animation because it is filled with nuggets of wisdom and advise. I love the movie it is such a feel good movie that talks about finding your unique place in the world.
I am so excited to present you my Mowgli. Just because I did him in a very painterly style and I achieved the dramatic lighting that I wanted to do. The Thing is, I have been studying light and shadow for a long while and this is the first one that I really love how it turned out. This also was a very quick paint loose in watercolor
