Madonna was shot for i-D magazine, the magazine was recently taken over by Elio Fiorucci, whom Madonna performed for in Paris for fashion week, though i-D is British as is Mark, it is possible these were taken in Paris.

This was also rumoured to be on the set of Madonna’s aborted Holiday video, though I have my doubts.

Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones and Christopher Nemeth (2) _ 크리스토퍼 네메스(#ChristopherNemeth)가 직접 옷감을 사서 만든 옷이 (소수의) 대중에 노출된 계기는 사진가 마크 르본(#MarkLebon)이 찍은 네메스의 작업이었다. <#아이디 i-D>, <#페이스 #Face> 같은 당대의 영국 지역 문화를 대표하는 잡지들이 그의 작업을 실었다. 1993년, 런던에서 도쿄로 거점을 옮긴 크리스토퍼 네메스는 90년대 도쿄 패션이 지녔던 폭발적인 에너지에 자신의 창작 욕구를 마음껏 분출했다. 절친한 스타일리스트 #주디블레임(#JudyBlame)과 마크 르본을 도쿄로 불러 '하드 워크(#HardWork)' 쇼를 선보이고, 오사카와 나고야에 연이어 매장을 내기도 했다. 특히 맞춤복 작업에 당대 런던 청년문화와 자신의 회화를 적극적으로 결합하고, 직접 개발한 다수의 프린트를 활용한 재킷과 점퍼, 통이 좁은 승마바지 형태의 실루엣으로 완성했다. 전설적인 '하드 워크' 작업 이후, 2015년 현재까지도 크리스토퍼 네메스 브랜드를 대표하는 하나의 대표작으로 자리 잡았고 여전히 시부야와 하라주쿠 거리의 수많은 젊은 남성이 소위 '네메스 룩'을 입고 거리를 활보한다. 크리스토퍼 네메스는 일본에 마니악한 팬층이 존재하면서도, 사실 세계 패션계에서 큰 주목을 받은 인물은 아니었다. 더 냉정하게 말하면 혜성처럼 나타나 폭발적인 인기를 구가하지도 않았으며, 그의 자리를 대체할 자원들은 모두 일본의 젊은 디자이너들 몫이었다. 크리스토퍼 네메스의 브랜드와 매장은 여전히 일본에 있지만, 사실 그는 하나의 브랜드 이름으로 그 자리에 있을 뿐이었다. 그래서 1980년대의 런던과 2000년대의 도쿄를 모두 경험한 #킴존스(#KimJones)가 #루이비통(#LouisVuitton) 2015년도 가을/겨울 시즌 남성복으로 풀어낸 의 '발견'과 '오마주'는 의미심장하다. _ by The NAVY Magazine facebook.com/TheNAVYMagazine _ © Hard Work, 1994.
