OC-Tober Day 4: Re-Design

As my oldest Pokémon OC, Marrion has went through a lot of redesigns, and so I decided to draw her first and latest design side by side for this day!

It’s very nostalgic seeing her like this, and I’m also proud of how her design has developed and improved!

hmmm kinda?? I have one.

His name's Marrion and he feeds people to the giant leech in his basement. He also doesn't have blood... or eyes. They were a doctor prior to the HC taking over Yharnam and he was just... really into bloodletting lmao.

They're very underdeveloped (they don't even have names) but I like to draw the Beast's Embrace Hunter and the Milkweed kissing and holding hands also.

Extremely mundane piece of trivia: Marrion is left handed.

It’s why her sewing pin and nail are in her right ear - it’s easier to reach and pull them out.

Doctor Duvall Katrox, the cybernetics expert with the galaxy’s worst bedside manner - ghosts

He’s haunted by the whispers of his colleagues, I think. He holds a very prestigious position on a very prestigious ship, and he’s served in the Empire long enough to have seen what people will do to try to rise in the ranks. He knows many of the other medics on the ship dislike him, and while he’s comfortable in the knowledge that the Emperor appointed him specifically and that Vader cannot function without him, he has a bit of a paranoid streak regarding the other medics on the Executor. This is also part of why he prefers to work alone and primarily with medical droids - none of them would try to undermine him or his research to try and get ahead of the game

Doctor Marrion Tyris, CMO of the ISD Avenger in my LL!verse - future

The worst outcome for him I think would be getting blamed for what Katrox did to Veers. I could see it happening if the New Republic got ahold of Veers’ medical files somehow, and someone mistaking the fact that because Tyris diagnosed him with the cybernetic—related nerve pain, Tyris must have done something because he didn’t know what he was doing.

I don’t think this possibility is really on his horizon, though - he’s far more concerned with what’s going on in front of him than with any theoretical possibilities

Doctor Delia Veridian, the Empire’s Psychiatrist - monster

If you asked her, she’d jokingly tell you she’s a terrible monster because she managed to fuck up making boxed macaroni and cheese.

In actuality, though, I think she isn’t so much a ‘monster’ as she is ‘acutely aware she could quickly become one’. Her work with both Imperial Military Personnel and Clone Troopers before that has given her a pretty unique insight into military trauma and ptsd (among other things), and she is very, very aware that there are a lot of people in the empire who would seek to weaponize her knowledge, one way or another. She knows her training and experience could easily be used to hurt instead of help, and that terrifies her

Triage, clone medic (to keep with the theme) - hunt

While hardly a cause for concern in any other being, Triage is mildly asthmatic - which means technically, he’s considered to be a defective clone. He figured it out pretty quickly when he was young (it’s part of the reason why he decided to become a medic) and he’s been very careful to ensure he handles his symptoms himself out of an abundance of caution, lest he be discovered and decommissioned.

Even his older brother Agony doesn’t know, although he has noted on several occasions that it takes Triage longer to recover from respiratory illnesses when compared with his fellow clones

I found this robot dog at the vintage warehouse yesterday for only £6! Sadly she's a little sun damaged, but I don't mind. She reminds me of one of my OCs, so she's taken her place on top of my printer for now (Surrounded by some new plants).

for TMI Tuesday: If your Hawke wasn't the Champion of Kirkwall/an adventurer, what occupation would they have? Would they want to have a short but brilliant/famous life, or a long and anonymous/unknown one? Thank you <3

I like to think that Hawke is wonderfully ordinary. Marrion’s a bit of a raconteur, bouncing from job to job, mostly hanging out at the bar. They’d stick to mercenary jobs and the occasional smuggling gig, because they like the adrenaline rush of sneaking through the city, and I think they’d get involved in fighting for the equal right to work in Kirkwall for Fereldens and elves too. A good person, but undisciplined, making enough money to have a relatively stable life in Lowtown. Talking about the Amell family name-- “My grandfather was almost viscount, you know, except of course all the grandkids turned out magic except me and my dead brother.”--and a couple coins gets them a round at the Hanged Man.

BESTEST BOY REM!!

Rem is the leader of Team Insomnia, consisting of himself, Marrion the Banette, and Sal the Salemence!

Rem is asexual aromantic - it is a common joke in the town that he’s married to rescue work, and they’re not wrong; he loves his job! He gets to help those in need, see the world, as well as hang out with his best friends - it’s perfect!

He would also say that his partners were Marrion and Sal if asked, unless the context was very clear; his mind does jump to team partners first, rather than the traditional meaning.
